As a big storm approaches Ponyville, Pumpkin and Pound Cake steal through the cellar of Sugar Cube Corner, on a mission to claim the cookies and milk promised them by the Ancient Ones.

Big Macintosh is a stallion of few words, but that doesn't mean he's slow or uneducated.  Unknown to any outside the Apple family, he's a wiz at math and finds himself smitten with the one pony who could share his love for numbers, and who just so happens to be the personal student of Princess Celestia; Twilight Sparkle.  With a "gentle" nudge from his persistent sister, Big Mac manages a date with the purple unicorn, but a relationship might turn out to be more work than either one bargained for.

It was a love story that seemed meant to never be. Two young dragons in love, torn apart by their differences. That was ten years ago. Now in their teens, the two dragons may yet again be entwined by the threads of fate. Only this time, under more dire circumstances, for dark forces linger in the depths of the Dragonlands, and they have their sights set on Equestria...

Princess Celestia is losing control of her political power. The system is slowly crumbling due to the inverse relationship between harmony and "freedom". With the invitation of television sets, the internet, and instant coffee machines, "freedom" becomes the preferred theme of the Celestian empire as opposed to harmony.
