A conversation with Applejack spurs Fluttershy to check up on Twilight's mental well-being. Twilight's reaction to her encouragement, however, is probably not what she had in mind...

    Currently undergoing a multi-part rewrite.

Post Mortem Edit:thanks to King Coco for the cover!

TAGGED AS DARK JUST TO BE SAFE. I'd consider it more of [Light Dark] if I could. Same with the Teen. Just to be safe.

When Twilight sends yet another letter to her teacher, she finds it surprising that she receives a direct reply. When asked if she wished to continue her studies, or to return back to her protege, she finds a huge personal conflict can take place in spite of logic and reasoning. She eventually decides upon staying, but at great reluctance.

The unicorn will soon find out what it truly means to be a friend, and where that line between 'friends' and 'more than' lies. The real question is, how much can she take? Especially when her own best friend is in her hour of greatest need? And how will her decision change her life?

    Told in charming letter format.

Tags and characters are for the final version, not current.

Twilight's cutie mark is fading, and Celestia sends her a series of lessons to rekindle her passion for magic- and for friendship. Twilight must study the magics her friends possess, as well as casting a serious eye on her own gifts.

This is technically a sequel to "Fixing Up Miss Smartypants", so I totally recommend that you read that first. It's set five years later.

Everypony has their secrets. Their own 'guilty pleasures' that they try to hide even from those closest to them. What kind of secret does Twilight Sparkle keep to herself, and can she indulge in it when she has the whole library to herself?

‘Have you ever,’ she started, ‘broken a promise you made?’

Celestia and Luna live a carefree childhood at Canterlot Castle, but its end approaches far too quickly — no matter how much they struggle, they find themselves drifting apart. And without their noticing, a new evil rises that could drive a wedge between them for good...

Scootaloo has never really cared much for Pinkie Pie, and she definitely doesn’t like the way Pinkie calls her hero “Dashie.” But for some strange reason, Pinkie seems fixated on her and insistent on meddling in Scootaloo’s life. Whether Scootaloo likes it or not.

It is the day of the Summer Sun Celebration, and Princess Celestia is coming to Ponyville. Twilight Sparkle is overseeing preparations yet again, and has meticulously planned every last detail to ensure that everything is perfect for her mentor's arrival. Nothing is going to go wrong.

Except when the big day comes, Twilight has gotten four hours of sleep and Fluttershy is nowhere to be found. Pinkie Pie sets off after her with nothing but a dark coat and the voice of a chain-smoking stallion, and the Apples and the Carrots are at each other's throats while Rainbow Dash is attempting to fill in for Fluttershy.

As her plans collapse around her and Ponyville descends into chaos, Twilight Sparkle must focus on obtaining the one thing that can set everything right: the all-powerful, awe-inspiring magic of caffeine.
