Landing in a time just weeks after the one thousandth Summer Sun Celebration, she finds a world shrouded in an eternal night, where the Elements of Harmony were never recovered.  Can she fix the things that should have, but didn't happen?  Or is this Equestria destined to head down a different path?

This story begins a few weeks before the events of Ghosts of Whitetail Wood and continues forward past the ending of that story.  Celestia is confronted with the fact that her faithful student has managed to break the fundamental laws of the universe.  If left uncorrected, there's a good chance that the universe itself may unravel.  The obvious answer is to kill Twilight Sparkle and all of creation is conspiring to eliminate her as a threat.  Celestia has other ideas.  

"Like two peas in a pod we did everything together!" sang Twilight in the season finale. But what if she was letting on more than everyone else knew? What if Twilight really was a pea?

Twilight finds herself agreeing to take in a wounded Trixie and help nurse her back to health, but Trixie doesn't seem too happy about the whole thing. Little do the two unicorns know that their time together will dredge up unexpected feelings, new and old, within them both...

Twilight has always been the best there is at magic. She's won dozens of scholarly competitions and tests of skill in Canterlot. But when it comes to the more violent uses for magic, she is essentially clueless.

When she meets a strange unicorn in a seedy bar, he introduces her to a little known sport that will test her knowledge of magic in different ways. That is, of course, if Twilight can't resist its primal lure.
