Shocking, how Celestia never taught Cadance the Royal Canterlot Voice.  And Twilight will need to learn it as well.  What can a Princess of the Night do but hold a class to teach this essential art for princesses?  Hopefully she knows how to maintain classroom discipline....

The Helicoprion, a long-lived genus of shark-like cartilaginous fish that went extinct millions of years ago. This predator certainly was a strange one, seeing how its lower jaw was basically a mix of a fruit roll-up and chainsaw. I make a living studying fossils, and this guy certainly takes the cake for the number one in the weird factor. So imagine my surprise when I inexplicably turn up in Equestria of all places. As a Helicoprion. Guess it's just one of those days.

Set in the same universe as my other stories Iron Mare and Flutterhulk but you don't have to have read those to read this.

The powerful but arrogant warrior Rainbow Dash is cast out of the fantastic realm of Equnisgard and sent to live amongst mortal ponies in Equestria, where she soon becomes one of their finest defenders.

Please note that the "Other" tag is to cover my bases, since this story has a lot of side characters (i.e. The Warriors Three and such) and I ran out of tags. And yes, even though this is a superhero story, most of the time is spent without kicking butt. This character driven more then action driven. I might add the tag as I see fit.

Applejack was a simple pony, content with a hard day's work and good friends. However, fate decides she's in for a little more than that when an alien crashes into the farm and gives her a strange ring. Now, Applejack is thrust into a war she never expected, part of the intergalactic police force, the Green Lanterns. The enemy? A merciless group of warriors called the Yellow Lanterns, whose brutality is unmatched by any in the universe. Faced with a savagery that she has never encountered before, Applejack must step up and become the iron willed warrior the Green Lanterns, and the universe, need her to be.

"In brightest day, in blackest night,

no evil shall escape my sight.

Let those who worship evil's might,

Beware my power: Green Lantern's light!"

In a world much like we know, another family has the throne. Applejack, crowned Princess of Equestria, is having a really bad day, and it isn't helped when every single member of the Apple Family happens to be an Alicorn.
