WARNING: SPOILERS FOR "MAGICAL MYSTERY CURE"
Written for "Thirty-Minute Pony Stories".
In which a hectic day leaves Applejack with a new perspective on what it means to be Rarity.
"My dear Twilight Sparkle,
Thank you for your recent letters. And I must apologize to you first and foremost that I have not responded back in kind to each and every one. I imagine has this concerned you, but please don't worry. Things have been very unsettled here in the castle as of late. Princess Luna has been researching Equestrian history, and I find myself in a strange kind of mood..."
A fillyhood meeting.
A journey up a mountain.
An aftermath to a long day.
Three stories. Three moments in time. And two Ponies, Applejack and Fluttershy, who learn a little something new about each other and themselves in each one.
For her entire life, Twilight Sparkle has looked up to Princess Celestia as a teacher, mentor, and role model. At no time was she forbidden from asking for advice when troubled by a problem. As she grows up, however, her problems grow far more complex, and far less scholarly, in nature. Will she still be able to seek her mentor's advice on more intimate matters? What sort of advice can an eternal princess offer a young mare?
After getting lost, Trixie wanders through a cold, rainy forest, wondering if she has done something useful with her life.
Four years after the fight against Discord, the Elements of Harmony have gone their separate ways. Though they remain friends, very few of them desire for the days when they protected Equestria from certain doom. The meteor shower threatens to change all of that, as monsters from unknown origins begin to attack Equestria. That's not all however.
During one of the monster attacks, Trixie Lulamoon, a star who fell from grace many years ago at the hooves of the elements of harmony, sustains a mortal wound and almost dies. A being of light comes to her aid and revives her, on the condition that she help the entity destroy these monsters.
Trixie, now forced to depend on the very mare who ruined her life, joins the new Canterlot defense force MARES (Monster Annihilation and Recovery Equestrian Squad) in order to combat the monsters, reunite the Elements of Harmony, and possibly redeem herself in the eyes of her peers, secretly defending the world in her own way as the glowing titan, Ultramare.
Seriously, if anyone could draw a cover picture, I would be extremely grateful.
Also, when I see Trixie's appearance in season 3, I'll add concepts to her character from that as well. I'm willing season 3 to not ruin the continuity of this concept.
"Hi everypony! Sorry I missed you. I'm away in Canterlot for a few days. If you need help finding a book, Spike will be happy to assist. Library hours are 9 -5. Thanks! See you all then!
- Twilight Sparkle"
On a trip to Canterlot to attend to some royal business, Twilight Sparkle learns more about kindness and forgiveness than she expected. Contemplation, melancholy, and a richly detailed world. An oldie-but-goodie from the early days of the community; please note that this has not been updated to reflect subsequent character development from Season 2.

What happens after we reach our dreams? Rainbow Dash spent years as the star of the Wonderbolts. She'd flown hard, far, fast, tight, and each wing-beat didn’t send her closer to the sun, but further down to earth.
