At first it seems like an ordinary book, but he soon finds out that his longtime friend has been holding some feelings back. But what should Spike do? Should he open his heart to Twilight? The Cutie Mark Crusaders ask Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy about what happened just after the events of the Cutie Mark Chronicles; specifically, what happened to Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash immediately after the race.  Reluctantly, Dash and Fluttershy delve into a tale.  A tale of a young Fluttershy's amazement at the world she had landed upon, and a filly Dash's desperate quest to save her from that most evil of places: THE GROUND.

Lemon Dreams is a happy pony with a perfect life in Ponyville. There's only one problem - she thinks she's a lemon.

A filly forced to mature before her time, Scootaloo finds many challenges that a pony her age should never have to face alone. She discovers fear, loneliness, sorrow, happiness, and even love in places she never thought possible. Through her diary, her young life is unveiled.

Who is Scootaloo? Everypony knows about her present, but when it comes to her past there are as many different answers as there are questions.
