Vaati the Wind Mage has grown bored with the whole villain thing. He's trapped himself in a cycle doomed to repeat itself forever. Seeking a way to escape this miserable cycle of escape, kidnapping, and defeat, the legendary sorcerer inadvertantly teleports himself to another world entirely; a world populated by talking magical ponies who believe friendship is magic. Just how will the former villain survive this sugar bowl of a world? Will he end up learning a few lessons in friendship himself? One thing's for sure, retirement has never been this exciting.

AUTHOR NOTE: This story takes place in an episodic format. That is, it follows the style of the show in that every chapter is an 'episode', hence why they will all be lengthy. Some episodes will be canon ones with Vaati along for the ride, and others will be original where Vaati takes center-stage. The first episode takes place shortly after 'Griffon the Brush-Off'. Vaati is from Legend of Zelda and is property of Nintendo. You already know who owns FiM.

On a night like any other, Princess Luna is observing her sky, making changes and manipulating the heavenly bodies as needed. However, one particularly bright object in the sky refuses to be moved by her command. Frustrated, she tries everything she knows about manipulating every celestial object, only to find out upon investigation that said object is a meteor on a crash course for their planet and nation. Unable to prevent the impact, Luna observes the meteor land towards the Frozen North. She thinks nothing of it... that is until large volumes of reports of deaths, mutations, and corruptions flood the Princess' daily issues.

With the national (and possibly world) emergency only getting worse, and with no ability to track and contain the spread of the Great Poison, the Princesses and the Elements silently hope for a miracle... any kind of help to save them from a violent doom.

Help may come from a very unlikely source. Specifically, the Hunter, clad in metal.

Preface:

Alright, this is something that's been on my mind for quite some time and I had to get it written down. I'm going to be appealing to a rather specific audience here, but my goal is to ensure that everyone has the ability to enjoy this story. This is not my main story, this is more of a side project but I'm extremely curious as to how this will be accepted... if it even will be. I feel I'm treading  a fine line with this type of crossover, so I'll be writing very delicately. As a result, (even though I'll try my hardest) don't expect weekly updates.

As well, there are certain things that weren't addressed in the trilogy, and so I put my own take on them. Just be aware of that... I only say this because if there are any hardcore Metroid fanatics out there, I don't want them jumping on my ass.

Also, this takes place after Echoes. The events of Corruption will have not happened yet. In terms of MLP, consider everything up to and including the Crystal Empire. Princess Twilight does not exist here.

Twilight Sparkle's plans have almost always worked out flawlessly, of course with some major exceptions on events that have happened in the past few years, but sometimes they don't turn out to be very logical to everypony else. So when she fell in love with a certain animal-loving pegasus, she had to devise a plan to earn the affection of her friend. After a bit of careful planning, she developed a strategy that she was certain was absolutely perfect:

To turn herself into a cat. After all, if you are what they love, they love you too, right?

What if MLP went in a different direction and added a human in to the cast? and let's say he is apart of our own reality and stumbled in to the wrong universe but found a way to travel in between both... well this is that story.
