For as long as any of the Cutie Mark Crusaders can remember, Diamond Tiara had always been the biggest bully they knew. But when that said bully dies in an accident, each of them starts to go through their own emotional experience from this sudden change in their lives. Each will learn more about themselves and about the pony who they all thought they knew before she is laid to rest.

When you were a foal you ended up with front row seats to a momentous event.  Unfortunately that same event caused you brain damage enough that to this day you can't keep both your eyes open for long and the one eye that can see perfectly fine is unable to process color anymore.

Freshly broken up with yet another mare you return to the place that cost you your sight with little going for you other than being a weather Pegasus.  Your boss as it turns out would be the last pony anypony would expect you to get along with at first.  But since she doesn't know and you long since forgave her it should be fine... at least until she decides you're her newest prank victim.

(AN: I'm considering putting Derpy in here but not sure yet.  Also after the first few chapters updates will be PAINFULLY slow, at least while I'm working on my other stories.  Fav at your own risk)

[Second Person Perspective]

Struggling to keep your apartment, you had taken an offer of a loan from somepony who, in exchange, asked for some help in a little 'family business' as they described it. If only you knew what this business actually was. This is how you became the whippingcolt for one of the most nefarious groups in Manehattan.

You are scum. You are less than scum. That is what you are reminded of each and every day.

One day, you get left for dead in the woods. You wake up in a little cottage full of animals with your wound cleaned, your vest patched, and a light yellow mare called Fluttershy taking care of you. The first pony who had ever shown you kindness. Without any hesitation, she's willing to provide you with food, warmth, and shelter. It seems too good to be true.

All too soon, your miserable life quickly catches back up to you and threatens to drag Fluttershy down as well. What would you do and how far would you go for the timid pegasus who found you?

Twilight has been wondering if life exist somewhere else than Equestria, and what would happen if they ever visited after looking at the night sky with her telescope. Writing a letter to Princess Celestia about her idea of life beyond their planet; only discovering a truth that has been locked away in darkness for years inside a locked chamber in the Canterlot castle.

But back on Earth, USAF is working together with the Army after they have completed the development of a portal called 'Project Rift' linking it towards Equestria. Before humanity enters, drones are sent through. Spotting a large piece of open land that is covered by mountains filled with a large forest, concealing most of it from view, and far away from any civilization on the strange land. The area was perfect for further operations in this world. After the drones return; the first humans go through the portal.

But what will happen when the human forces begin to explore this new world? How will all the ponies react to reports and sightings of unknown creatures? How will the human forces react to a world they expected to have to no civilization or stange ecosystems, end up being inhabited by ponies and other creatures?

After a mysterious and destructive spell causes ponykind to vanish, Fluttershy is left behind to deal with the pain and face what the future has in store for her and Equestria.

In a matter of days, the once properous kingdom begins to turn into a deadly place. Invasions from unaffected races, widespread looting and conflict, and a dying and dangerous landscape soon make up the world that Fluttershy now lives in. With nopony to turn to, Fluttershy is forced to learn to fend for herself, discover what happened, and, if possible, find a way to reverse it.

Survivor Shy is a tale told in not-so-chronological order, with Fluttershy providing the narration to her story. With a combination of specially-made artwork and prose, readers shall dive into the mind of the most unlikely heroine for equinekind to depend on.
