Sweetie Belle gets curious about where babies come from, so she confronts Rarity about it.

When Vinyl Scratch gets invited to play at the royal reception, she and Octavia find that the event is no exception to the essential truism of fiction: where main characters go, trouble follows.

After the royal wedding is concluded and everyone is sent home, Celestia sequesters herself to brood over her failure.  It's up to Luna and, eventually, Twilight to break her out of her funk.

A delicious blend of alcohol and goading.  

The story, or the writing of it?

With a overdue storm on it's way, Princess Celestia prepares to finish the day's business when an exhausted Rainbow Dash rushes in with an 'important message' from Twilight. When the contents of the message are revealed to be rather trivial Rainbow loses her temper in front of the Pincess and fears she has offended her. However, Celestia could tell Rainbow has had a rough day and, rather than punish her, Celestia decides to teach her a special lesson in friendship.

Twilight and her friends settle down in Ponyville after a crazy wedding crashed by a certain evil queen. On the way, Twilight realizes that she accidentally packed a mysterious device that isn't hers, something found after the ceremony ended. The large crystal ball has the oddest sort of rainbow-colored energy coursing deep inside and no sign of what it does. The six friends take a look. They tap on it, blow at it, and otherwise look for answers, finding no labels or anything else. Twilight accidentally opens it up, revealing a description written in some mysterious, alien-like language. She'll send it back to Celestia later, but for now she vows to find out more, deeply curious. She stays up studying to no avail.

Twilight wakes up to find her friends totally losing it, acting weirder than she's ever seen before. She decodes the ball, finding a cryptic message thanking Queen Chrysalis for buying the item. Noone knows how the Queen got this device, how to use it, why she brought it, how she lost it, and where the Queen herself is at the moment. Twilight must find a way to stop this insanity as well as get some answers.

Twilight makes an interesting discovery about the ponies in Ponyville.  

Pinkie Pie has an existential crisis while painting her room. This self-parody is dedicated to Professor Piggy, who once told me that I could write a story about Pinkie watching paint dry and weave it into an incredible psychological journey. Let's see if he was right.
