*Author's note* I haven't really read that many HIE Fics besides Brony Writers story No, I Am NOT A Brony Get Me Out of Equestria, this is just me trying my hand at one. Any similarities between this story and other HIE stories are purely coincidental.

All ponies in the story are anthro, also this is my first real fanfiction, so i'll appreciate any comment and critique you want to give.

A collection of headcanons concerning Equestrian history and geography, and an invitation for dicussion and exchange of ideas. Set in a fully humanized Equestria and aimed to portray a more serious background in the style of classical fantasy novels.

  After writing two chapters, I realized the clicheness of the idea, and took steps to avoid that. Starts some time before the show. If I stick with this, it'll be a long-runner.  Not quite satisfied wit the title, but oh well.

This story will focus on Discord, and how he became what we know him as today. This story is linked to Obscured in Shadow, one of my previous unfinished fics. If you like this story, you'll like Obscured in Shadow, so if you've got the time, you should check that out too. Characters like Djorn also appear in it too.

The story starts long before the events of Discord's defeat, and long before Luna and Celestia even existed. Just in case you get confused.
