Hello there. Since the world of Equestria leaves a lot of details about it's world vague (for now) that gives us authors the wonderful opportunity to shape things however we want, especially since we're not limited by having to go through executives, standards and practices etc.

We have the world at our finger tips thanks to the FiM writers and I think it's wonderful that so many authors explore it in so many different ways.

So in a nutshell, that's what this group is for; worldbuilding, personal headcanons (from as major as entire backstories for the kingdom to as simple as what ships you choose to support), world building for AUs or world building you think could fit right at home in the show, developing OCs who exist in Equestria, just about anything you can think of.

I hope we'll see an active forum here, I love to hear about the worlds other people have crafted from FiM and the characters therein.

Have fun everypony!

Hello everyone! I just joined your group and thought it would be polite to say hi. I hope you are having a wonderful day full of inspiration. :pinkiehappy: Could some of you perhaps help me with a question? See, I used to be a bit of a loner when it comes to writing and only recently decided to find out what the groups on FIMFiction have to offer. So… what usually happens in a group like this? I understand you can add stories to folders that correspond with the kind of story you have made. Can I do that right now or must I ask for permission? Should I announce my stories as well? Do you have any tips and tricks on how to make the most out of this group? I hope you can help me out. Thanks in advance!

Lots of love,

Hey, This is Coyote. I’ve never been moved to write fanfics until MLP, and have been doing so for about a year now. I only recently started experimenting with groups. :raritywink:

I hope this is not considered excessive. I just dropped my two main timelines in, each one being a what-if of the other, twining around one another like vines in the process.

For example: in each AU, Sunset ventures through a different mirror, with a different world on the other side. One leads to the “Earth” of EG. The other leads someplace... else. And in each timeline, Rarity and AJ get together for a while, and then break up. In one, the CMCs come home from camp early while the two mares are still battling with their situation’s fallout; in the other, the ex-marefriends cope on their own.

Yet, both continuities share the same seminal stories, and will share identical tales later in their respective timelines, as well.

I hope this story structure, and the exploration of characters it allows, is as interesting for other people as it is for me... :moustache:

(I /think/ I dropped them in such that a semi-order will present itself visually, but human error is also a thing, so navigating via their descriptions is probably ideal.)

Contemplation & discussion in the comments sections is always appreciated!

Ok I joined and I'll add a couple of stories that contain a great deal of world building and headcanon. I'm looking forward to reading other folks' work here as well.

I've written several stories that could fit in the Equestria Girls timeline, I just have figure out which ones actually world build.
