A group dedicated to the RPG Maker program. Not necessarily VX Ace, but the older ones as well.
When posting a new project in the forum, be sure to add the version of the program and the title of the project like this:
RPG Maker [X] Project: [Insert Title Here]
Also, don't forget to add a link to the project download.
If a story inspired you to make a game, or would like to see it be made into a game, put it in the "Stories for Games" folder, and if there's a game that inspired a story, put it in the "Game Inspired Stories" folder.

Yeah, I first got wind of the program last year when it was on sale for a low price on steam, less than twenty dollars I believe, but a friend convinced me not to get it at the time. Regardless, I have it on my wishlist on steam, so I'll know if it's on sale there, but if you happen to catch a sale for it on the humble bundle, I'd appreciate it very much if you let me know

I've been using RPG Maker for a long time, it IS quite expensive, but it's fun to use. Every once in a while there will be some kind of sale. I got mine through Humble Bundle. Keep an eye on the forum for any sales that spring up. Or if you'd like, I can PM you a link to the sale.
In the meantime, check out RPG Maker VX Ace Lite. It's free, but limited.
I'm very uncertain if I should buy RPG Maker, as it is a lot of money, if any of you could recommend it to me, tell me whether you enjoy working with it or not and if it's worth the money, then I'd be extremely grateful.
