This group is for the planning and discussion of the My Little Pony:Friendship Is Magic fan fiction series 'Fanatical League Against Ponykind'.
Inspired by a now-defunct anti-Pokémon site of a similar name, F.L.A.P. is both the name and saga of a group of anti-Brony haters who, along with a number of bronies and pegasisters, are accidentally transported from Earth to Equestria and morphed into ponies in the process. The anti-brony haters, angry at their predicament, form the titular organization with the intent of destroying Equestria and all who dwell therein. Can the bronies help the Mane Six thwart F.L.A.P. and save ponykind?

No, you won't need to know anything about the original FLAP. The villains aren't G1 ponies, they're just based on them.
I've never heard of this former anti-Pokeymans site - will familiarity with it be needed to enjoy these tribute stories? - but regardless, I'm amused that you're using G1 ponies as the villains. It has a Substitute Harmony sort of vibe.
