The Ponyville observatory was a mess. Its lone resident, Comet tail. Had been searching for a book for one full hour now, and in the process making a large mess.
Comet tail was a Unicorn astrologist from Canterlot who moved to ponyville in order to get a better view of the stars and get away from the snobbish canterlot elite. He has been a resident for four months now.
"Where is it!?" Yelled Comet tail.
Comet tail looked around madly.
"Where is that copy of Ancient equestrian constellations!?"
There was a knock at the door.
"Come in!" Yelled Comet tail.
The door opened and A caramel colored earth pony stepped in. He was Caramel, Comet's friend.
Caramel was a Manehatten born stallion who moved to ponyville and worked at sweet apple acres.
Caramel look around at the mess Comet tail had created.
"Did a tornado pass by?" Asked Caramel.
"No." Replied Comet tail. "Im looking for a book. I need it for my stargazing tonight."
"Have you thought about the library?" Asked Caramel.
Comet tail looked up from his search.
"Library?" Asked Comet tail.
Caramel raised an eyebrow.
"You lived here for four months and you never heard about the library?" Asked Caramel.
"Well most of those first two months was spent observing the stars." Replied Comet tail.
Caramel sighed.
"I can take you there after you clean up." Said Caramel.
Comet tail looked at the mess.
"This could take awhile."

After an hour of cleaning up the observatory, Caramel led Comet tail to the Ponyville library.
"Here we are." Said Caramel.
Caramel pointed his hoof at the ponyville library.
"Thanks." Said Comet tail.
"I have to go yo work." Said Caramel. "See ya later!"
Caramel took his leave, heading towards the direction of sweet apple acres.
"I really hope they have it." Muttered Comet tail.
Comet tail stepped into the library, the room he entered had no ponies in it.
"Hello?" Said Comet tail.
Comet tail noticed a large sheet of paper on a nearby table. Curious, Comet tail decided to check it out. It was a star map, several constellations were circled and labeled.
"Wow." Muttered Comet tail. "This is impressive."
"Can i help you?"
Comet tail turned around. Standing in the stairway was a purple unicorn mare. Comet froze up when he saw her.
"Shes beautiful." Thought Comet tail.
The unicorn walked towards Comet tail.
"My names Twilight Sparkle."
Comet tail pulled himself together.
"Comet tail."
"So can I help you with something?" Asked Twilight.
"Uh im looking for a copy of Ancient equestrian constellations." Said Comet tail, slightly nervous.
Twilight took a book off of a nearby shelf using magic.
"Here you go." Said Twilight. "Its a good astronomy book."
"T-thanks." Said Comet tail. "Have a nice day."
"Thanks." Said Twilight. "You two."
Comet tail took the book and walked out of the library.
"Shes...... Wonderful." Thought Comet tail.
Comet tail began to walk back to the observatory.

As time went on, Comet tail visited the library more and more. With each visit he began to admire the purple librarian more and more. Within a year, Comet tail had fallen completely in love with Twilight sparkle.

1 year later.......
Comet tail was sitting at a table in a pub called The Salt Lick with four other stallions.
The first was Caramel. The second was a blue earth pony named Noteworthy, a local songwriter. The third was a blue unicorn named Pokey Pierce. He was from canterlot, much like Comet tail was, however two unicorns never met eachother while they were in Canterlot. Lastly was a black pegasus named Thunderlane. Thunderlane was from Cloudsdale and he worked on the weather patrol.
"Lucky said hes going to Carrot top's for dinner." Said Caramel.
"Maybe you should go out on a date this weekend." Suggested Pokey.
Caramel took a quick sip of his club soda.
"Im not letting you guys pick out another blind date for me." Said Caramel, annoyed.
Last hearts and hooves day they talked caramel into going out on a blind date with a pegasus named Wind whistler. Caramel did not enjoy it.
"Maybe Applejack would be interested." Said Noteworthy in a smug tone.
Caramel blushed. Caramel had a huge crush on one of Sweet apple acre's owners, Applejack
"Why you gotta be like that to me?" Asked Caramel. "Why not Comet?"
Comet nearly choked on his cider.
"Im not sure what your talking about." Said Comet tail, nervously.
"Well you might want to ask her out soon Mel." Said Thunderlane. "Somepony might beat ya to it."
Caramel took another sip of his drink.
"Thunderlane is right ya know." Said Noteworthy. "Better get started before you loose her."
Caramel finished his drink.
"Fine." Said Caramel. "Ill go talk to her after i rest a bit at home."
Caramel got up and left.
"Hes going to fail." Said Thunderlane.
"Big time." Added Noteworthy.
"I think he has a chance." Said Comet tail.
Comet tail turned to look at Pokey.
"What about you?" Asked Comet tail. "You have any plans this weekend?"
Pokey took a sip of his beverage.
"Not really." Replied Pokey "I have my normal shift at Sugarcube corner."
Pokey worked at the local bakery with his marefriend, Pinkie pie.
"And you Comet?" Asked Thunderlane.
Comet tail finished the last of his cider.
"None." Replied Comet tail.
Comet tail got up.
"I need to get back home." Said Comet tail. "Ive got some stargazing to do tonight."
Comet tail walked out of the pub.
"He never has anything going on." Said Noteworthy.

Comet tail started to walk to the observatory. It was getting dark. As he passed the library, Comet tail stopped for a moment to think about the mare inside.
"Wonder what Twilight is doing right now." Mumbled Comet tail.
Then he felt somepony bump into him from behind.
"Im sorry-"
Comet tail stopped when he noticed the pony who had bumped into him. He was a yellow earth pony stallion named Goldengrape. The two stallions greatly disliked eachother.
"Comet fail." Groaned Goldengrape.
"Goldengrape." Said Comet tail in an irritated tone.
"Watch where your going." Said Goldengrape.
"I really dont want to deal with this right now." Said Comet tail.
"Well your lucky i dont either." Said Goldengrape.
Goldengrape stormed off angerly.
"What a grouch." Thought Comet tail.
Comet tail took one last look at the library before he resumed his walk home.

Caramel and Goldengrape's feud is inspired by their feud in Edfan1337's hearts and hooves story. Look it up some time its really good.
Comet tail woke up on the roof of the observatory next to his telescope. Falling asleep during his stargazing was not uncommon for him.
"Oooohhhh....." Groaned Comet tail.
He rubbed his head with his hoof.
"I gotta stop sleeping on the roof."
Comet tail grabbed a nearby notebook with magic.
"Least i found that meteor shower heading my way." Said Comet tail.
Comet tail walked down the stairs back into the observatory.
"What do i have planned for today?" Thought Comet tail.
Comet tail felt his stomach growl.
"Guess breakfast is the first thing." Chuckled Comet tail.
He loaded his notebook into a saddlebag that was lying by the front door.
"Maybe i"ll run into Twilight." Thought Comet tail.
He levitated the saddle bags onto his back and walked out the door.

Comet tail sat at an outside table to a cafe that he often visited. His waiter was taking awhile so he took out his notebook and started drawing in it.
"Just needs a horn..... There."
Comet tail finished drawing a picture of Twilight.
"Not bad." Thought Comet tail.
Comet tail looked up from his drawing and noticed Caramel walking his way.
"Caramel!" Yelled Comet tail.
Caramel walked up to his friend.
"Morning comet." Said Caramel.
"Morning." Said Comet tail. "Care to join me?"
Caramel smiled and sat at the seat across from Comet tail.
"Whats with the notebook?" Asked Caramel.
"Im going over some notes from last night's star watching." Replied Comet tail.
A waiter walked up to them.
"Ready to order?"
Comet tail looked at the waiter.
"Just a hay omlet and some coffee." Said Comet tail.
"Ill have some pancakes." Said Caramel.
The waiter nodded and walked inside.
"How was last night?" Asked Comet tail.
"Never happened." Said Caramel. "I overslept."
Comet tail set his notebook onto the table.
"Caramel you cant just keep procrastinating on this." Said Comet tail. "Your loosing time-"
Comet tail was cut off when a Twilight Sparkle walked by, a saddlebag on her back as she hummed a tune to herself. Comet tail stopped talking and watched as she passed by. Caramel raised a confused eyebrow.
"Comet?"
Comet tail shook his head and looked back at Caramel.
"Sorry, got distracted." Said Comet tail.
"Right......" Said Caramel. "Any interesting finds last night?"
"Not really." Replied Comet tail. "But by the looks of it, theres going to be a meteor shower within the next two months."
Comet reached for his notebook, but accidentally knocked it on the ground. Caramel picked it off the ground and glanced at the page it was on.
"........ Comet."
A smug look grew on Caramel's face.
"You like Twilight, dont you?" Said Caramel smugly.
Comet tail blushed a bright shade of red.
"What-...... No..... Er.... Well."
Caramel chuckled.
"Comet you cant just keep procrastinating on this." Said Caramel. "Your loosing time-"
The waiter walked out and set their meals on the table.
"Enjoy your meal."
The waiter stepped back inside.
"Lets just eat." Said Comet tail, taking his notebook back.

Comet tail walked away from the cafe. After he had finished his meal and paid, he decided to see what Noteworthy was up to.
"Maybe i can hang with Noteworthy today." Thought Comet tail.
Comet tail reached the marble building that served as Noteworthy's place of business, as well as his home. He stepped inside and saw Noteworthy at the front desk, brainstorming lyrics to a song.
"Hey Note." Said Comet tail.
Noteworthy looked up from his work.
"Hi." Said Noteworthy. "Sorry but i cant hang right now. I have to finish an important commission."
Comet tail frowned slightly.
"Oh..."
"Maybe next time." Said Noteworthy.
Comet tail walked out and Noteworthy resumed his work.

Comet tail walked down the streets of ponyville.
"Guess ill see what Twilight is doing." Thought Comet tail. "Maybe grab a book while im there."
Comet tail could see the library in the distance.
"Comet fail."
Comet tail stopped and turned around. Standing behind him was Goldengrape.
"And where are you off to?" Demanded Goldengrape.
"You trying to start something?" Asked Comet tail, irritated by Goldengrape.
"Actually im here to finish what started last night." Said Golden grape.
Goldengrape then pushed Comet tail rather hard, causing him to stumble and hit a home.
"Thats real mature Goldengrape!" Yelled Comet tail.
Goldengrape laughed and walked away, pleased with his actions. Comet tail got up and dusted himself off.
"Jerk." Thought Comet tail.
Comet tail walked up to the library and opened the front door fast. As he opened the door, he heard a loud thump.
"Hm!?"
Comet tail stepped inside and looked down. Lying on the floor unconsious next to the door was Twilight.
"Sweet celestia!" Thought Comet tail.
"Nice move bro." Said a sarcastic voice
Comet tail looked and saw Spike, Twilight's dragon companion looking at him.
"You nailed her with the door." Said Spike.
Comet tail panicked.
"Oh celestia! Is she going to be alright?!"
"Its not the first time this has happened." Said spike.
Spike grabbed one of Twilight's hooves and began pulling her towards the stairs.
"Uh i can take her upstairs." Said Comet tail.
Spike stopped.
"Great!" Said spike.
Spike let go and walked into another room.
"Lets get you upstairs." Said Comet tail.
His horn gave off a blue glow as he lifted Twilight onto his back. Surprisingly she weighed less than he thought she would.
"Here we go."
Comet tail began to walk up the stairs. He reached Twilight's room and set the unicorn on her bed.
"Hope she forgets the part about me knocking her unconsious." Thought Comet tail.
Comet tail looked around the room. He noticed a picture frame on the wall. Comet tail decided to take a closer look. In the picture was a blue stallion and a grey mare.
"Must be Mr Sparkle and Velvet." Muttered Comet tail.
Comet never met Twilight's parents, however Comet's mother was good friends with Twilights mom, Twilight Velvet.
"Should get going." Thought Comet tail.
Comet tail walked down the stairs and walked out the front door. He didnt get far until a realization hit him.
"I just knocked Twilight Unconscious." Thought Comet tail.
The unicorn looked back at the library, worried.
"Please dont hate me."
Comet tail needed to talk to somepony. He ran towards the home of the only pony who knew about his feelings toward the purple unicorn.
Caramel.

Lets hope Twilight doesn't hold a grudge.
Yeah. If you didnt hear, Im going to be updating less. Ive been picked to write the script for a Slenderman fanmovie.
But i will still try to make at least one more chapter this month.
Right in front of you will be updated once i get this story to the point where Comet tail sees Caramel run off.
And there will be surprises in the next few chapters.
Comet tail reached Caramel's house.
"Please be home...." Thought Comet tail.
Comet tail had a worried look on his face as he knocked on the door. A few moments later Caramel answered the door.
"Comet?"
"Caramel I need to talk to somepony." Said Comet tail.
Comet tail walked inside and both stallions sat on Caramel's couch.
"Whats up?" Asked Caramel.
"Its Twilight." Replied Comet tail. "I messed up."
"Calm down." Said Caramel. "Why would you think that?"
"Well I thought Id stop by the library and check out a book." Began Comet tail.
He became more worried as he talked about it.
"I went in and I accidentally hit her in the face with the door!"
"Accidents happen." Said Caramel.
Comet tail was sweating and shaking as he formed his response.
"It knocked her out cold." Said Comet tail. "And that pet dragon of hers saw the entire thing! Once he tells her then im done for!"
"Relax." Said Caramel. "Its going to be fine."
"Or it wont be."
The two stallions were startled by the unfamiliar voice. They looked around the room untill they noticed a light blue pegasus stallion leaning in the doorway.
"Caramel I think thats a burglar." Said Comet tail.
Caramel got up and walked towards the pegasus.
"Take it your rainbow's Coltfriend." asked Caramel.
Comet tail raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"Who is this guy?"
"Soarin is my name!" Said the pegasus. "Im kinda famous."
"Never heard of you." Said Comet tail.
"Im co- captain of the wonderbolts." Said Soarin boastingly.
Soarin flexed his wings for effect.
"We dont watch the wonderbolts." Said Caramel.
"Oh....." Said Soarin.
Soarin looked around awkwardly.
"Yeah i am Rainbow's Coltfriend." Said Soarin. "You must be Caramel."
"Your kind of early." Said Caramel.
"Eh, never hurts to be early." Said Soarin.
"Guess we could head down there now." Said Comet tail.
Comet got off of the couch. He felt more calmer than he was moments ago.
"Takes ten minutes to go down there anyways. Im Comet tail by the way."
"First rounds on me!" Said Soarin.
The three ponies stepped out of the house.
"Who is this pony?" Asked Comet tail.
"I'll tell you later." Replied Caramel.

Caramel explained what was going on to Comet tail on the way to the pub. Apparently the pegasus was the coltfriend of one of Twilight and Applejack's friends. Applejack had asked Caramel to bring him to the pub this evening. Caramel naturally agreed to do so. The pegasus was a member of the popular pegasus team, the Wonderbolts. Half an hour after they reached the pub, Thunderlane and Pokey had arrived and gotten their drinks. Most of the conversation however, was lead by Soarin and the bulk of it was Wonderbolts related. Only Thunderlane took any interest in what he was saying.
Comet tail wasn't paying attention to the conversation, he was thinking about Twilight.
"Shes probably conscious and ready to kick my flank." Thought Comet tail.
He took a sip of his cider then set it next to the glass of lemonade he got for when Noteworthy arrived.
"This day couldn't get worse...." Thought Comet tail.
Noteworthy stomped into the pub with an annoyed look on his face.
"Something wrong Note?" Asked Caramel.
"Yes." Grumbled Noteworthy.
Comet tail slid Noteworthy the drink he had set aside.
"Got you the usual." Said Comet tail. "Lemonade."
Noteworthy took a large sip of his drink.
"I couldn't get out of the stupid parchment store fast enough!" Said Noteworthy.
Comet tail took a sip of his drink.
"This one pony held up the checkout line for THIRTY MINUTES!" Said Noteworthy.
Caramel took a sip of his cider.
"Thirty minutes?" Asked Caramel.
"He couldn't decide weather he wanted white or snow colored paper!"
Soarin took a sip of his grape soda.
Comet tail sighed.
"Maybe it was Written script." Comet tail said.
Written script was an acquaintance of Comet who was a small time writer.
"He had a purple coat, a pinkish purple mane-"
"Grapes for a cutie mark?" Interrupted Thunderlane.
Noteworthy's eyes widened and his jaw dropped.
"How did you know?" Asked Noteworthy in Surprise.
"His names Purple vineyard." Replied Thunderlane.
Thunderlane took a sip of his cider.
"Largest producer of grapes in ponyville." Thunderlane continued. "Distant cousin of Comet's old pal Golden Grape."
Comet tail frowned angrily at the name.
"Golden grape." Thought Comet tail. "Wonder if his cousin is anything like him...."
"We should TP his house." Suggested Soarin.
"What!?" Said Comet tail.
"Thunderlane knows where he lives right?" Said Soarin. "I can get three packs of toilet paper here within twenty minutes. We TP his farm!"
"Normally id be against this." Said Noteworthy. "But this time im all game!"
"Ill do it." Said Thunderlane.
"This doesn't sound like its a good idea." Said Pokey.
"I agree." added Comet tail.
"Why not." Said Caramel with a big smile. "I need some action."
Comet tail was surprised by Caramel's decision.
Soarin downed the remainder of his beverage.
"Ill be back in twenty minutes." Said
Soarin.
Soarin dashed out of the pub.
"Why did you encourage him Caramel?" Asked Comet tail.
Caramel smirked.
"Why not?"
"Because this cant end well." Replied Pokey
"This night got worse." Thought Comet tail.

"I told you guys this was a bad idea."
They had TP'd Vineyard's farm. However they were also nearly caught by Vineyard himself. For some reason, Caramel's boss/crush Applejack was with vineyard. The Orange mare taked the Grape farmer out of pursuing them. The six currently sat in a field, catching their breath.
"I thought it was pretty fun." Said Noteworthy.
"You guys are alright." Said Soarin. "I might have to hang with you more often."
Comet tail looked at Soarin with an annoyed expression.
"Why was Applejack there?" Asked Caramel.
"Dunno." Said Thunderlane. "But she seemed awful friendly with Vineyard."
"Ive seem that kind of behavior before." Said Pokey.
"Where?" Asked Noteworthy.
"When I first started dating Pinkie." Replied Pokey.
Caramel froze up.
"No........"
Comet tail looked at Caramel with a worried expression.
"You ok Caramel?" Asked Comet tail.
Caramel darted away from the group.
"Caramel!?" Yelled Noteworthy.
Caramel ran out of sight.
"What just happened?" Asked Soarin."
Comet tail looked at the group.
"I'll see if I can catch up with him." Said Comet tail. "Night."
Comet tail walked towards the direction that Caramel ran In.

This was long......... I got nothing else to say. No seriously, I got nothing go home.
Comet tail followed Caramel to his homeComet stood outside Caramel's home and looked up at his bedroom window. He coupd faintly hear sobbing.
"Poor Caramel. " muttered Comet tail. "He must be heartbroken.
Comet tail looked at the starry sky.
"Sure is pretty out though." Thought Comet tail.
Comet tail decided to head home and check on Caramel in the morning.
As he walked away from Caramel's house, he noticed one lone pony walking the streets. Twilight sparkle.
"Twilight?" Thought Comet tail.
Comet walked closer to the purple unicorn. Twilight noticed him approach.
"Guess im not the only one out for a midnight stroll." Said Twilight.
Comet tail chuckled.
"Guess not."
"You going anywhere?" Asked Twilight.
"Just home." Said Comet Tail.
"I know a coffee shop thats open all night." Said Twilight. "I could use the company."
Comet tail's ears perked up.
"Did she ask me to get a cup of coffee with her?" Thought Comet tail.
"Uh... Sure."
"Great." Said Twilight. "Come on i'll lead the way."
Comet tail followed Twilight.

After a few minutes of walking, they reached their destination, a small building with a neon sign in the shape of a coffee cup.
"Come on lets get inside." Said Twilight.
The two unicorns stepped inside the building. The inside had a tile floor, white walls, and several tables set up. In the back was a door and a counter with a cash register. It looked rather low budget. The place was void of any other ponies with the exception of two employees standing by the cash register, and one older stallion with a black coat and a white mane reading the newspaper.
"Cozy place here." Said Comet tail.
The two sat down at a table.
"Its a funny story how I found this place actually." Said Twilight. "I was getting tired while I was working on an important project and for the first time in years I didnt have any coffee to make."
"Really." Said Comet tail.
"I searched all over to find some Coffee mix." Said Twilight. "I even woke up my friend Rarity asked if she had any coffee."
Twilight and Comet tail chuckled.
"She must have been steamed." Said Comet tail.
"Then I found this place."
Twilight looked around the room, then back at Comet tail.
"Got my coffee, finished my project, and slept in." Said Twilight.
One of the employees approached the two.
"I'll have the usual." Said Twilight.
"Just give me some black coffee with cream." Said Comet tail.
The employee nodded and walked towards the door in the back.
"Its not very big or fancy, but they make good coffee." Said Twilight.
Comet tail remembered the door incident that happened earlier that day.
"About earlier when i hit you with the door-"
"Its alright Comet." Said Twilight. "Accidents happen."
Comet tail felt relieved that she wasn't mad at him.
"Thank celestia." Thought Comet Tail
"It wasn't the first time i got hit by that door." Said Twilight.
"So why are you out this late?" Asked Comet tail.
"Sometimes i like to walk around alone, look at the stars, thing about things." Replied Twilight. "Helps me unwind after a long day."
"Long day?" Asked Comet tail.
The employee returned with their coffee, setting it on the table and giving a smile before heading back to the door.
"Well before the door hit me I found out that spike burnt a star map I needed by accident." Began Twilight. "Plus i had to clean chewing gum out of a book that some careless colt returned."
Comet tail took a sip of his coffee.
"This is good coffee." Said Comet tail.
"Yeah."
Twilight took a sip of her coffee.
"I really needed that star map." Said Twilight glumly. "Without it i cant find out when that meteor shower will happen.
Comet tail nearly fell out of his chair.
"Meteor shower?" Began Comet tail. "I was studying it last night from the observatory."
"Really?" Said Twilight with great intrigue.
"I could bring you a copy of the notes I made tomorrow." Suggested Comet tail. "I might even have a spare Star map."
"If you could bring them that would be great." Said Twilight, a smile on her face.
Comet tail took a sip of his coffee.
"This is great." Thought Comet tail.

After they finished their coffee, Twilight paid (Comet offered to chip in but Twilight insisted she pay.) they stepped out of the coffee shop.
"I should stop by this place some time." Said Comet tail.
"Good thing its open 24/7." Said Twilight.
Comet tail looked up at the stars.
"Stars are bright tonight." Said Comet tail.
"Kinda pretty, isnt it?" Asked Twilight.
Comet tail nodded.
"I should get home." Said Twilight.
"I'll walk you back." Said Comet tail.
The two unicorns began to walk towards the direction of the library.
"Any of your friends in relationships?" Asked Twilight. "Well other than Pokey because i know he is."
Comet tail was taken back by her question, but decided to answer it anyways.
"Other than Pokey theres Thunderlane and I guess Soarin because he might be joining my group." Replied Comet tail.
"Seems like most of my friends are pairing up with somepony." Said Twilight. "Pinkie found Pokey, Applejack went out with that Vineyard pony tonight."
Comet tail tried not to think about Vineyard.
"And Rainbow dash apparently was in a relationship before any of them." Added Twilight. "Plus i think my friend Fluttershy might have a crush on somepony."
"Any idea who?" Asked Comet tail.
"Not really, but i think it might be an older stallion." Said Twilight. "It kind of makes me want to find myself a coltfriend again."
Comet tail felt extreme joy inside.
"YES! SHES LOOKING FOR A COLTFRIEND! SHES- wait..... Again?" Thought Caramel.
"Again?" Asked Comet tail.
Twilight stopped and blushed a bright red.
"Its kinda embarrassing....." Said Twilight.
Comet tail stopped.
"Tell you what, you tell me and I will tell you something embarrassing about me." Said Comet tail.
"Alright..... But dont laugh." Said Twilight.
She cleared her throat before starting her story.
"I was in magic kindergarden back in canterlot. I didnt fit in too well with the other colts and fillies. They made jokes about me, called me names, but there was one colt who was really nice to me. I dont remember his name, but we both liked reading. One day he tells me he likes me, I said that I liked him too."
Twilight's blush deepened.
"Next thing I know, he kisses me right on the lips. I was caught off guard by it but it felt....... Good."
Twilight looked away from Comet tail.
"We started being "coltfriend and fillyfriend". But then the other ponies made fun of us for it. In the end, He transfered to a different class and the rest of Magic kindergarden was a nightmare."
Twilight sighed.
"But I guess it doesnt count as a real relationship."
"It wasnt that embarrassing to me." Said Comet tail. "Alot of ponies had foal hood "relationships" back at that age."
Comet tail chuckled.
"Guess i should tell my embarrassing story."
Twilight's blush lessened.
"My mom thought I would be a filly, so almost all of my foalhood clothes were pink."
Twilight chuckled.
"I really wonder what happened to that colt." Said Twilight.
They resumed walking.
"I still remember that kiss. Soft lips, his soft breathing, he was very gentle."
"Any Ideas who you would pick for a coltfriend?" Asked Comet tail.
"Not yet." Replied Twilight. "But im sure I will find the right pony."
They reached the library.
"Thanks for the Coffee." Said Comet tail.
"No I should be thanking you for a great evening." Twilight said.
"Its getting very late Twilight." Said Comet tail. "I have to get home. Night."
"Night."
Comet tail walked away from the library feeling like he just won a month's supply of apples.
"This was a great night."

Comet tail walked into the observatory.
"Wonder who that colt Twilight was talking about was..." Said Comet tail.
Comet tail decided to gather the notes he said he would get to Twilight. He levitated his notebook onto a nearby table and went to grab some blank paper. As he approached the shelf where he kept the paper, he noticed something.
A book lying on the very top of the shelf.
"Huh......"
Comet tail levitated the book off and looked at it. He blew a layer of dust off of it. Upon getting a closer look at it, he noticed a portion of it was burnt.
"Iremember this book." Said Comet tail.
It was a scrapbook, one that had been damaged the month he moved to ponyville. He opened it up and looked inside it. Many of the pictures were burnt, but there were still many untouched photographs. He looked over some of the pictures inside. One was a simple picture of him, his mother, his father, and his younger sister. Another was him trying to assemble a telescope.
"I still have that telescope lying around somewhere." Said Comet tail.
He turned the page. Almost all of the pictures on the page were burnt. Only two were not. One was a picture of him back in magic kindergarden, before he got his cutie mark. He was smiling and reading a book.
"I remember that book." Thought Comet tail.
The other picture was black and white.
"I dont remember this one......" Muttered Comet tail.
It was a picture of him, still in magic kindergarden. He was smiling and laughing with another pony next to him. The pony had her head on his shoulders while smiling.
"Why don't I remember who that is?"
Comet tail looked at it closer.
"Wait a second....... That cant be....... How could ......"
He realized who the other pony in the picture was. The manestyle, bone structure, It was Twilight.
"How could I have-"
Comet tail froze when the realization hit him. He dropped the book onto the ground.
"Its me....."
Comet tail recalled that he was transfered to another class in magic kindergarden to a teacher better suited to him. But prior to that he had his first kiss with a filly his age. He never remembered the filly until now.
He was the colt Who kissed Twilight back in Canterlot all those years ago.

And before you ask about why the book was burnt, that fits in with a big scene in a future chapter.

It had been A little over a week since that night with Twilight, The morning after Comet tail brought her the books and went on his way. Since then, Life seemed pretty normal. Running errands around town, the usual tormenting from Goldengrape, going to the pub, and spending his nights stargazing. He always made sure to visit Twilight daily, however he kept his discover on the identity of twilight's former coltfriend a secret.
Comet tail was sitting in the Ponyville park with Noteworthy.
"Celestia im glad I finished that commission." Said Noteworthy. "Ive been cooped up in the house for days."
"So whats your next big song going to be?" Asked Comet tail.
"Well the commission paid pretty good, so I decided to take the rest of this week, plus next week off to relax." Replied Noteworthy.
"Thats not a bad Idea." Said Comet tail.
Noteworthy got up.
"Im gunna treat myself to a massa ge at the spa." Said Noteworthy. "See ya tonight?
"Maybe." Replied Comet tail. "Might do some extra stargazing tonight."
"Well catch ya later then." Said Noteworthy.
Noteworthy trotted away.
"I should visit Twilight now." Thought Comet tail.
Comet got up and trotted towards the direction if the library.

Comet tail was in ponyville, about five minutes away from the library.
"Maybe she finished her research on that meteor shower." Thought Comet tail.
He bumped into a small purple mass.
"Im sorry." Said Comet tail.
He looked down to see that he had bumped into Spike.
"Oh hey there..... Comet tail is it?"
Comet tail nodded.
"Your Twilight's pet dragon right?" Asked Comet tail.
Despite Comet tail's increased interaction with Twilight, he was unfamiliar with the purple dragon.
Spike put on an annoyed look.
"Im her assistant."
"Oh....... Sorry bout that." Said Comet tail.
"Its alright." Said Spike. "If your heading to the library, Twilight is still there, im off to visit.... Somepony."
Comet tail raised an eyebrow.
"Somepony?"
"You dont know her." Replied Spike.
"Right...... See you later I guess." Said Comet tail.
"Later."
Comet tail continued his walk to the library. Once he reached the building, he stepped inside.
"Twilight?"
Comet tail noticed a foul smelling green smoke coming from the basement.
"What the hay?"
Comet tail grabbed a nearby rag and held it in place over his muzzle with magic. Then he stepped downstairs. The basement looked like some sort of a laboratory. The smoke filled the entire room.
"Twilight?"
He looked at a nearby table. Lying on the ground near it was an unconscious Twilight sparkle and several broken beakers.
"Twi!?"
Comet tail ran over and got the purple unicorn onto his back.
"Don't worry Twilight, i'll get you out of here."
Comet tail went upstairs, closing the basement door behind him.
"Come on Twi!"
He carried twilight upstairs into her bedroom and set her onto the bed. Then he checked for A pulse.
"She needs CPR." Thought Comet tail.
He rolled her onto her back, then got himself into a position over her. He opened her mouth and began to preform CPR. Suddenly Twilight's eyes shot open. Comet tail 's mouth was on Twilight's. Awkwardly, Comet tail pulled away and sat next to Twilight on the bed.
"Why were you...."
"You were passed out in the basement." Said Comet tail. "I was doing CPR. "
Twilight's eyes widened.
"Must have mixed some wrong chemicals and made some sort of a a hazardous gas." Said Twilight.
"You think your going to be ok?" Asked Comet tail.
Twilight sat upright next to him.
"The chemicals didn't appear to be too harmful." Replied Twilight. "I think im going to be alright, got to get a vacuum orb down there to clean that gas though."
Comet tail sighed.
"Thats good." Said Comet tail. "Find out anything about the meteor shower?"
Twilight looked at the floor.
"Only what was In your notes, tonight is a perfect time to study it but my telescope is full of chocolate." Said Twilight.
Comet tail gave Twilight a look of Confusion.
"Chocolate?"
"Dont ask." Said Twilight. "Without a telescope, I cant study the shower and find out when it will exactly come."
Just then Comet tail got an idea.
"The observatory!" Said Comet tail.
"What?"
"The observatory has much better telescope!" Said Comet tail. "You can come over tonight and we can study It together!"
Twilight smiled.
"That could actually work." Said Twilight. "I'll grab some books, then tonight me and Spike will head down."
"Great." Said Comet tail.
He got off the bed.
"I' ll see you tonight then."
Comet tail began to head for the exit, not noticing the figure that was standing in a nearby window still, listening to their entire conversation.

"Everything looks right."
Comet tail gave the observatory one final look over. It was dark out now, Twilight was due to arrive at any moment.
"Telescope is ready....... Star maps out, other things i need.... Check... And I hid the scrapbook."
Comet tail decided to keep the picture he found a secret to himself. He was perfectly willing to show it to Twilight, but when he believed the time was right. There was a knock on the door.
"That must be her."
Comet tail answered the front door, standing on the other side was Twilight and spike.
"Hey Twilight." Said Comet tail.
"Hey." Replied Twilight.
"Come on in." Said Twilight.
They stepped in and Twilight looked around.
"Wow, this is an impressive place." Said Twilight.
"Its alright I guess." Said Spike.
Comet tail gestured to the Observatory's large telescope.
"Set up whatever you need." Said Comet tail.
Twilight nodded and took off her saddlebag.
"Spike could you set up?" Asked Twilight.
"Can do." Said Spike.
Spike went to work while Twilight walked up to Comet tail.
"How did you end up living in this observatory?" Asked Twilight.
"Well i got transferred here from Canterlot after the previous astrologist assigned here well......"
Comet tail looked down.
"I don't like to think about it...." Said Comet tail.
"Sorry to hear that." Said Twilight.
"Its quite alright." Said Comet tail.
Spike finished Setting up one of Twilight's notebooks.
"Done." Said Spike.
"Good job." Replied Twilight.
"The meteors should be in position in an hour." Said Comet tail.
There was a grumbling noise.
"What was that?" Asked Spike.
Comet tail looked at his stomach.
"Sorry." Said Comet tail. "I didn't eat yet."
"Thats alright." Said Twilight. "Im kinda hungry myself."
"Id offer to cook something, but we kind of need to get the Telescope sighted in." Said Comet tail.
"Spike." Began Twilight. "I need you to run into town and grab some dinner."
Twilight levitated a small sack of bits out and gave it to Spike.
"Maybe some neighsain food." Said Twilight.
Spike nodded.
"I'll be back in a bit." Said Spike.
Spike ran out the door.
"Uh... Thanks." Said Comet tail.
"Its the least I could do." Replied Twilight.
"Lets get the Telescope ready." Said Comet tail.
"Yeah, lets." Replied Twilight.

"She turned them green?" Asked Comet tail.
The two were preparing the telescope, talking as they did so.
"Yeah, and when the dentist found out, she flipped!" Replied Twilight.
The both laughed.
"Hate to be her." Said Comet tail.
There was a knock at the door.
"Its me!" Yelled Spike's voice.
Twilight opened the door with magic and spike stepped in with a take out bag.
"How was the walk there?" Asked Twilight.
"Alright." Replied Spike. "Except it felt like I was being watched......"
"Im sure it was nothing." Said Twilight.
Twilight levitated two things of Neighsan food and chopsticks out of the bag and floated one over to Comet tail.
"Hope you don't mind, I kinda just got what sounded good." Said Spike.
"Its alright." Said Twilight.
Twilight began eating her food.
"Not bad." Said Twilight.
Comet tail started eating his food.
"You seriously think somepony was following me?" Asked Spike.
"Think about it Spike." Began Twilight. "Why would anypony follow you?"
Spike shrugged.
Comet tail looked at the Telescope.
"Think its almost ready." Said Comet tail.
Comet tail set his food down.
"Oh! Your right." Said Twilight.
She set her food down and walked up to the telescope, picking up a notebook with magic as she approached.
Comet tail looked into the telescope. He could see countless numbers of stars, he noticed a series of bright objects in the sky.
"I think I see it...." Said Comet tail.
"Zoom in." Suggested Twilight.
Twilight began taking notes.
Comet tail zoomed in the telescope, now he could see the meteors up close. He could see their color, debris falling off of it, even its shape....
"The hay?....." Muttered Comet tail.
The meteors were shaped like hearts, and up close their trail was pink.
"They're..... Hearts?"
Twilight stopped her note taking.
"Hearts?" Asked Twilight.
Comet tail stepped aside, allowing Twilight to take a look.
"They do....."
"See anything like this before?" Asked Comet tail.
"Gimme a sec." Said Twilight.
Twilight levitated a book out of her saddlebag and opened it up to a page. On the page was a sketch of the meteors.
"The meteoras cordis." Said Twilight.
Comet tail watched the meteors from the telescope.
"Judging by the distance......" Began Comet tail. "The shower should be here in about two days."
Comet tail looked at Twilight.
"So whats the meteoras cordis?"
"Its a meteor shower that occurs once every 15 years." Said Twilight. "Legend says that a a pony who watches it alone will end up finding their soulmate right after."
"Thats pretty interesting." Said Comet tail.
"You said the Shower would be in two days, right?" Asked Twilight.
Comet tail nodded.
"Thats the night of the apple family harvest party...." Said Twilight.
"Guess so." Said Comet tail.
"We should do further research into this." Said Twilight. "Any books on astronomy here?"
"But of course." Said Comet tail. "They're in my room, come on I'll take you there."
Comet tail gestured to the staircase.
"Lead the way." Said Twilight.
They grabbed their food and walked upstairs, leaving Spike downstairs.
"Maybe I was being watched...." Muttered Spike. "Maybe I-"
Spike noticed a figure looking in through a nearby window.
"What the?"
Spike walked up to the door and opened it.
"Can I help you?"
The figure bucked Spike with enough force that he was flung back inside, hitting his head on a shelf. As the purple dragon lay unconscious on the floor, the Figure stepped into the observatory. He was dressed in a black hooded cloak, hiding his face.
"What do you have Comet...." Mumbled the Figure.
The figure noticed Comet tail's notebook on the table.
"Bingo."
The figure opened it up, he flipped through its pages and stopped at one page in particular. It was a page that contained doodles of Twilight sparkle.
"Looks like you got the hots for that piece of flank." Muttered the Figure.
The figure pulled back his hood, revealing himself to be Golden grape.
"Cant wait to wreak this little dream of yours...."

Comet tail slowly opened his eyes, light poured into the room from his window.
Morning.
Comet tail was lying on his bed, on top of the covers. As he tried to get up he felt something weighing him down.
"Huh?"
Comet tail looked up and noticed Twilight peacefully sleeping, using his body as a pillow.
"Must have fell asleep while studying the books." Thought Comet tail.
Comet tail felt Twilight stir.
"Wh-what?" Murmured Comet tail.
Twilight raised her head and looked at Comet tail.
"Oh! Comet, im so sorry-"
"Its quite alright Twilight." Said Comet tail.
They both got off of the bed. Comet tail could see the empty take out-boxes of their dinner. He made a mental note to clean it up later. Several books were stacked on the floor.
"Guess we stayed up a little too late." Said Twilight jokingly.
"Yeah....." Replied Comet tail. "If you want you could stay for breakfast."
"Thanks but I need to open the library." Said Twilight. "Also, I think we should keep this meteor shower between us."
Comet tail raised an eyebrow.
"If other ponies knew, they would be all over it trying to find their special somepony the easy way." Said Twilight.
"I see your point." Said Comet tail.
Twilight headed for the stairs.
"And Comet...."
"Yes?"
"........ Thanks for having me over."
Twilight headed down the stairs.
"Awesome night." Thought Comet tail with a smile on his face.

Comet tail walked down to the library.
"Wonder how shes doing today..."
He was about to open the door when he head laughing coming from the other side.
"Who's in the library?" Thought Comet tail.
Comet tail slowly opened the door open a crack and froze up. Sitting at the table was Twilight and..... Goldengrape. Both were laughing.
"No....." Muttered Comet tail in horror.
Goldengrape got up and stepped outside.
"Good day Comet fail." Began Goldengrape.
"Why are you in there?" Asked Comet tail.
"Comet, I made a promise awhile
back and I intend to keep it." Said Goldengrape.
Goldengrape knocked Comet tail onto the ground.....
"Shes mine now Comet."
Golden grape knelt down to look Comet tail directly in the eyes.
"Tomorrow im going to take her out for dinner." Said Goldengrape.
"Wh-why are you doing this!?" Demanded Comet tail. "How did you know!?"
"You know why im doing this Comet."
Goldengrape stood up.
"Payback."
Golden grape stepped back inside.
"No......" Muttered Comet tail.
Comet tail ran towards the observatory.
"No......."
He was so busy running that he didn't notice a small figure watching him leave.

Comet tail ran into the observatory and locked the door. He wasn't heartbroken, he wasn't jealous, he was crushed.
Crushed that Twilight would pick his arch enemy over himself, crushed that Goldengrape would be doing this just out of revenge, crushed that he didn't tell her how he felt.
Comet tail opened a drawer and floated out his burnt scrapbook.
"Goldengrape......" Thought Comet tail.
Comet tail thought back to the very beginning of their feud.

A YEAR AND THREE MONTHS AGO.......
Comet tail sat in the observatory, looking over notes he wrote down from last night's stargazing.
"Polaris serphus is in sector A..... and. Neptus is-"
Comet tail was cut off by a loud grumbling sound.
"Huh?..... Oh my stomach."
Comet tail got up.
"It is lunch time....." Thought Comet tail.
He looked towards the kitchen.
"Maybe I'll go out for food." Thought Comet tail.
Comet tail slipped on his saddlebag and walked outside. For the first time in two months, Comet tail was going to ponyville.

Comet tail found a pub to eat at. He was sitting in a booth seat, looking over a notebook. He had a half eaten plate of salad on the table as well.
"Libra one is in sector five...." Muttered Comet tail.
His thought process was interupted when a cherry landed on his book.
"Huh?"
Comet tail looked towards the direction that the cherry came from. Sitting at a nearby table was four ponies, all snickering. The first was a dark brown colt with a black mane, the second was a black colt with a silvery mane, the third was a pink mare with a bright green mane. The last was Goldengrape.
"Sigh...... Hooligans...."
Comet tail levitated the cherry off of his notebook and approached the table. Goldengrape looked at him.
"What do you want?" Asked Goldengrape.
"Im kindly asking you to stop throwing things at me." Replied Comet tail. "Im focusing on-"
The black colt splashed his drink into Comet tail's face.
"Nice one." Said the Brown colt.
"Let me tell you how things work here." Began Goldengrape. "Everypony here respects me, and my friends here. "
Goldengrape wrapped his front hoof around the pink mare.
"Dont bug me anymore or else I might have to hurt you"
Comet tail growled.
"Oh whats the nerd gunna do now?" Taunted the black colt. "Bore us to death?"
They chuckled.
"No." Said Comet tail.
Comet tail grabbed Four drinks from
a nearby table with magic.
"Im Gunna do this."
Comet tail poured the beverages into the pony's heads.
"And my names Comet tail!"
Some other ponies in the pub that noticed started laughing.
"Oh thats really funny nerd." Growled Goldengrape
Goldengrape made a gesture with his hoof. The two colts got up and pinned Comet tail to the floor.
"Im Dying of laughter!"
Golden grape got up and stood over Comet tail.
"My jokes have a much better punchline."
Goldengrape raised his hoof, then a cup flies into his face.
"Put him down." Said a voice.
Comet tail turned his head and saw three stallions standing, looking at Goldengrape. A blue unicorn, a blue earth pony, and a caramel colored earth pony.
"Stay out of this." Said Goldengrape. "Or your next in line for a beating!"
"Yeah lay off!" Yelled the pink mare.
"No way!" Said the blue pony.
"We have had it with you thinking your better than everypony." Yelled the unicorn.
Everypony in the bar was watching now.
"Hittem Goldie!" Yelled the mare.
"Oh im gunna." Said Goldengrape.
Golden grape stepped away from Comet tail and punched the caramel coated stallion right in the face.
"Gah!"
"Nice one Goldie!" Said the mare.
"Thanks." Replied Goldengrape.
The two blue ponies helped their friend up.
"Your a thick skulled punk!" Yelled Comet tail.
"Oh dont think I for-"
"WHATS THAT RACKET!?"
A green pony with glasses stormed out of the back room. He had a barrel for a cutie mark.
"Who started this!?" He yelled.
"Goldengrape did." Replied the blue unicorn. "Him and his friends threatened to harm this unicorn."
"Is that so...."
Goldengrape started to panic.
"Well you see...... HE STARTED IT!"
The next thing anypony knew, Goldengrape and his crew got kicked out the door...... Literally
"Congratulations punk!" Began the pony. "YOUR ALL BANNED FOR LIFE!"
He slammed the door and walked back into the back room, not even looking at Comet tail.
The three stallions approached Comet tail.
"You alright?" Asked the caramel one.
He helped Comet tail up.
"Yeah im fine. Thanks." Replied Comet tail.
"Names Caramel."
The blue earth pony stepped forwards.
"Blues Noteworthy, but you can call me Noteworthy."
The unicorn stepped forwards.
"Pokey pierce, your new here aren't you?"
"Sorta." Replied Comet tail. "I moved here awhile ago but I haven't been into town that much, im from Canterlot."
"Small world." Said Pokey. "Im a Canterlot pony myself."
"Your alright with us." Said Noteworthy.
"Your the first pony ever to stand up to Goldengrape." Said Caramel.
"He's definitely a piece of work." Added Comet tail.
"After what you did though, ponies wont be so scared of him." Said Pokey pierce.
"Your welcome to hang out with us." Said Caramel. "We meet here almost every night at this exact table."
Comet tail smiled.
"I might just have to take you up on that offer."
Comet tail levitated his saddlebags onto himself and gathered up his belongings.
"Later then." Said Comet tail.
"See ya." Said Noteworthy.
Comet tail stepped outside, he didn't notice a book falling out of his bag.

Comet tail was in the observatory, reading a book. It was dark out now, the sun had set and the moon was in the sky. There was a knock on the door.
"Hm?"
Comet tail set his book down and opened the door. Nopony was there.
"Hello?"
Comet tail stepped outside.
"Anypony there?"
Comet tail looked at the sky.
"Never get tired of seeing that sky." Thought Comet tail.
When he looked back down, Goldengrape was standing in front of him with a saddlebag and a lantern. Before Comet tail could react, Goldengrape knocked him onto the ground.
"Goldengrape?!" Said Comet tail.
"Make yourself comfy Comet Fail, Its story time." Said Goldengrape.
Goldengrape kicked him.
"This ones called, What happened after the nerd got me thrown out of the pub!"
Goldengrape cleared his throat.
"Once me and my friends got banned, Ziggy and Sandy, you know who they are right?" Asked Goldengrape.
Comet tail assumed that was the two ponies who pinned him down.
"They thought I was weak and decided to bail on me!"
Golden grape kicked Comet tail again.
"I didnt really like those blockheads anyways." Said Goldengrape. "What really ticked me off was what happened after that!"
Comet tail gulped.
"That pink mare, Daisy, she was my Marefriend!" Yelled Goldengrape.
Goldengrape kicked Comet tail again, this time in the stomach.
"She decided that I was too. HARSH!" Yelled Goldengrape. "Me, harsh? CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!?"
He kicked Comet tail again.
"She broke up with me!" Yelled Golden grape. "I lost the respect I earned!, my friends!, EVEN MY MARE FRIEND! All because of your stunt back at the pub!"
"You did t earn that respect!" Grunted Comet tail. "You gained it through fear and threats!"
Goldengrape kicked Comet tail in the face.
"But this is what happens right now." Said Goldengrape.
Goldengrape took out a book, the same one Comet tail dropped. It was a scrapbook, one his sister had given to him the day he left Canterlot.
"Im going to tell you just what Im going to do to you..." Said Goldengrape.
Golden grape set the book on the ground and looked at it.
"What are you-"
Goldengrape threw the lantern onto the book, causing it to catch fire.
"NO!"
Golden grape bent down to Comet's eye level.
"Im going to make your life a living hell." Began Goldengrape. "Every chance at happiness you get, I will crush."
He kicked Comet tail again.
"You will suffer Comet, We both are."
Goldengrape got up and turned to leave.
"And nopony will live happily ever after..... The end."
Goldengrape walked away as Comet tail picked up the scrapbook with magic.
"No!"
Comet tail manages to put the book out and holds it in his hooves.
"N-no....."
Comet tail just sat there, holding the book.

"This is why he's doing this." Muttered Comet tail. "He knows my feelings........ He wants me to be..... Miserable."
Comet tail clutched the Scrapbook to him tight.
"But....h-how did he....... Know?"
Comet tail laid on his side, sobbing as tears rolled down his face.

Outside a small figure witnessed the entire thing through a window.
"I got to help him......"
The figure reached for the handle to Comet's front door.

The front door creaked open. Comet tail turned his head to the door.
"Wh-whos there?"
The figure stepped inside.
"Its okay....." Said the figure calmly.
Comet tail looked in surprise.
"Spike?"

"Wh-What are you doing here?" Asked Comet tail, still crying.
"I was picking up a book for Twilight, then I saw Goldengrape push you." Said Spike. "I saw everything......"
Comet tail wiped his face with his front leg.
"Spike..... You wouldn't understand."
"Try me."
Comet tail sighed.
"Im on love with Twilight."
"I knew that." Replied Spike.
Comet tail looked at him confused.
"You act funny whenever your near her, you always visit, you freaked out big time when you hurt her with the door."
Spike paused.
"Plus ive been reading alot of detective comics so I can notice these things."
Comet tail looked down.
"Well Golden grape stole her....."
"Listen..." Began Spike. "Your better than that Goldengrape guy."
Spike put a claw on his shoulder.
"Theres got to be something that can give you an edge over him."
Comet tail's head shot up, he was no longer crying.
"Thats it!"
Comet tail flipped open the scrapbook to the page that had the picture of him and twilight on it. Spike's eyes widened.
"Wha-who- how did you-"
"Its a long story but I'll give you the short version." Said Comet tail. "Back when I was a little colt, I had feeling for a mare, but we were separated. Twilight is that mare!"
"Your the first love she remembers from magic kindergarden." Muttered Spike.
"Thing is, I don't remember the exact details......."
Comet tail looked down
"I don't remember much from back then....."
Spike smirked.
"I might be able to help with that."
Spike took a book out of his satchel. Comet tail picked it up with magic and looked at it.
"101 Memory spells......" Muttered Comet tail. "By I.T. Stands....."
"Theres a spell in there that reawakens dormant memories." Said Spike. "But you need a pony who is linked to the set of memories that you are reawakening."
"Spike your a genius!" Said Comet tail.
"Thanks." Replied Spike. "We just used the spell with Twilight and-"
Comet tail interupted him.
"No we cant......"
Spike raised an eyebrow.
"Why?" Asked Spike.
"She doesn't remember the details either..... Just a kiss." Replied Comet tail.
He looked at another picture in the scrapbook.
"But I know who does......."
Comet tail closed the Scrapbook and set the 101 memory spells on top of it. Then he ran upstairs.
"What is he doing?" Thought Spike.
Comet tail returned with a packed suitcase. He opened the suitcase and put the books in.
"Im going out of town for a day." Said Comet tail.
"What- why!?" Asked Spike.
"To get answers." Replied Comet tail. "While im gone I have a job for you."
"What do you need?" Asked Spike.
"Golden grape will go to any lengths to keep Twilight." Began Comet tail. "Block any and every pass he makes, spy on him whenever he goes into the library, meet me at the train station tomorrow."
Spike put on a determined face and saluted.
"I'll do it."
Comet tail smirked.
"Im counting on you little buddy."
Comet tail picked up his suitcase with magic and left. He had one more stop to make.

"Canterlot?" Asked Caramel.
Caramel and Comet tail were sitting in the park.
"I'll be back tomorrow for the harvest party." Said Comet tail.
"Wish you would tell me more." Said Caramel. "Why are you telling me all this though?"
"Just letting you know so you can tell the others." Replied Comet tail.
Comet tail got up and picked up his suitcase.
"See ya tomorrow."
"Later."

Comet tail took his seat on the train, he put his suitcase in the overhead compartment.
"Maybe I'll get the answers I need from her...." Thought Comet tail.
The train car was empty except for himself. He booked an express ticket for Canterlot in the fastest train he could find in the time he had.
Just then another pony got on, he was purple with a pinkish purple mane. He seemed familiar.
"Is that?.." Thought Comet tail.
He realized who it was. It wasPurple Vineyard, Goldengrape's cousin, the pony whose house he TP'd
"Uh oh."
Vineyard took a seat next to Comet tail as the train began to move.
"Guess im not the only pony with an urgent need to be in Canterlot." Said Vineyard.
"Uh.... Yeah." Replied Comet tail.
"Im sorry where are my manners, Call me Vineyard."
"Comet Tail."
Vineyard raised an eyebrow.
"So your the Comet tail that my cousin Goldengrape talks about." Said Vineyard.
"What does he say?" Asked Comet tail.
"He hates your guts." Replied Vineyard. "But you seem pretty fine to me, unlike that Caramel pony."
Comet tail looked at him.
"Caramel?" Asked Comet tail.
"My marefriend has a farm. Caramel is the most obnoxious field hand there." Replied vineyard.
"Hes not." Thought Comet tail.
"I like my Marefriend, but she has the worst choice in friends." Said Vineyard. "That Caramel pony, the yellow one that keeps eying her brother, the white one who recuses to be ten feet near dirt."
"Does Applejack know what he thinks of them?" Thought Comet tail.
"That pink psychopath." Continued Vineyard. "The rainbow one that SOMEHOW is dating a wonderbolt, and that purple one who does nothing but read."
"She doesn't just read." Thought Comet tail.
"So why must you go to Canterlot so fast?" Asked Vineyard.
"Its private." Replied Comet tail.
"Right....."
Vineyard rolled his eyes.
"Im going because of business."
"What kind of Business?" Asked Comet tail.
"The private kind." Replied Vineyard,
The rest of the train ride was quiet.

The train pulled into Canterlot station, the two ponies got off the train with their luggage and went their separate ways.
"Almost there." Thought Comet tail.
He walked through the streets of Canterlot, looking for his destination.
"Where is it?"
Then he noticed it. A small white home belonging to a mare named Bright skies. Comet tail approached it.
"Please be home."
Comet tail knocked on the door.
"Coming!" Yelled a female voice.
A unicorn mare with a pale yellow coat, a light blue mane, and a star for a cutie mark answered the door. She was about three years younger than Comet tail.
"Comet?"
"Sis."

Comet tail sat in Bright's living room as she sat opposite of him, pouring a cup of tea.
"This is quite the Suprise." Said Bright.
"Im not here to visit." Said Comet tail. "I need your help."
"What is it?" Asked Bright.
Comet tail explained his situation to her.
"And I cant remember any of it....." Finished Comet tail.
"Really?" Asked Bright. "I remember a little bit...."
"I have a spell that will reawaken my memories, but I need your help to do it." Said Comet tail.
"Just tell me what I need to do." Said Bright.

"Ready?" Asked Bright.
They were getting ready to do the spell.
"Do it." Replied Comet tail.
Bright's horn began to glow a bright blue.
"Here it goes."
A beam of blue light shot out of Bright's horn and flew into Comet tail's head.
Comet tail's eyes glowed pure white as the memories began to rise.

14 YEARS AGO
A young Comet tail, 7 years of age was being walked towards a school by an adult mare with a dark blue coat and a light blue mane.
"Mom I don't want to go to school!" Whined Comet tail.
"Just give it a chance." Said Comet tail's mother. "You might make a friend or two."
Comet tail groaned.
They reached the school and stepped into the front door. There were foals Comet's age playing games and a teacher sitting at a desk.
"Have a nice day sweetie." Said Comet tail's mom.
She departed, leaving Comet behind.
"Sigh..... Waste of time." Muttered Comet tail.
He walked around the room, looking for something to do. Unfortunately, all the games were full.
"Figures." Muttered Comet tail.
Then something caught his eye. A purple unicorn filly his age lying on the floor while reading a book. Comet tail approached the unicorn.
"Whatcha reading?" Asked Comet tail.
"A book." Replied the filly bluntly.
"Homework?" Asked Comet tail.
"Nope." Replied the filly. "Im reading this for fun."
Comet tail looked with surprise.
"You read for fun?" Said Comet tail. "Me too!"
The filly looked up from her book.
"R-really?"
"Yeah! Im Comet tail."
"Twilight."
"Is it alright I join you?" Asked Comet tail.
"Of course." Replied Twilight
Comet tail sat down next to twilight and they both began to read.

After the school day was finished, Comet tail returned home.
"Im home!" Said Comet tail as he walked through the front door. He noticed his mother sitting on the couch, reading a book.
"How was your day?" Asked Comet tail's mother.
"Eh, good I guess." Replied Comet tail.
Comet tail walked up the stairs towards his room.
"Twilight..... She has pretty eyes..... Wait, why am I thinking about her eyes?"
Comet tail stepped into his room.

FIVE DAYS LATER.
Comet tail had been thinking about Twilight for the past few days. He began to feel weird whenever he was near her. That Day he decided to ask his mother about it.
Comet tail approached his mother, who was adjusting a telescope.
"Mom, can I ask you something?" Asked Comet tail.
"What is it sweetie?" Asked Comet's mother.
"Ive been thinking about this pony alot..... And I feel weird when im around her...."
"Maybe she has a co-...... Wait her?" Said Comet's mother. "As in a filly?"
Comet tail nodded.
"Her names Twilight."
Comet's mother immediately stopped working on the telescope.
"Comet, sounds like you like this filly."
"She is my friend." Replied Comet tail.
"No honey, like as in..... Love."
Comet tail blushed brightly.
"Lu-love!?" Yelled Comet tail.
"Please lower your voice, your sister has a headache."
"Sorry mom..... Im heading upstairs."
Comet tail began to walk upstairs.
"Me..... In love with Twilight?" Thought Comet tail. "She actually is kind of cute..... And nice and smart....... Maybe I do like her..."
Comet tail stepped into his room.

THE NEXT DAY.
Comet tail decided that he would confess to
Twilight today. He walked around the park, looking for her.
"Where is she?" Thought Comet tail.
He looked around untill he finally saw Twilight.
She was sitting on the swing while two older ponies sat on a bench watching one a pink alicorn and the other a white unicorn.
"There she is." Thought Comet tail.
He got closer. Twilight noticed him.
"Hey Comet." Said Twilight.
"Twilight, could I talk to you for a sec?"
"Sure!" Said Twilight.
She got off the swing and they walked towards the jungle gym.
"What do you have on your mind?" Asked Twilight.
"Well...."
They reached the jungle gym and sat on the ground.
"Twilight........ I-uh...... I like you."
Twilight giggled.
"I like you too." Replied Twilight. "Your a great friend!"
Comet tail sighed.
"No not like that..... Im saying...... Oh forget this."
Comet tail Grabbed Twilight's head in his hooves and pulled her in for a kiss.
Both ponies had a bright red blush on their face. Twilight slowly closed her eyes and returned the kiss. From the bench the two older ponies watched.
"Awww, Twilight is having her first kiss." Said the alicorn.
"Kinda brings back some memories." Said the Unicorn.
They broke the kiss, both still blushing.
"Th-thats what you m-ment." Said Twilight.
"Yeah....." Replied Comet tail.
"Hey Comet...."
"Yeah?"
Twilight gave him a peck on the lips.
"I think I like you too......"
Comet tail smiled.
"Does this mean your my special somepony?...." Asked Comet tail.
Twilight giggled.
"Of course it does!" Replied Twilight.
Twilight gave him a quick hug.
"Lets go play on the swings!" Said Twilight.
Twilight ran towards the swingset while Comet tail followed close behind.

TWO WEEKS LATER.......
Two weeks have passed since Twilight and Comet became 'Special someponies'. They had gotten their share of teasing from their classmates, but they managed to ignore it most of the time.
Today they were going to a hair being held in canterlot. Accompanying them was Twilight's foalsitter Cadence.
"Look at all the stands!" Said Twilight.
Cadence chuckled.
"There definitely is allot of them." Said Cadence.
Cadence looked around.
"Wasn't your brother supposed to meet us here?" Asked Comet tail.
"He is." Said Twilight. "Where is he?"
Cadence sighed.
"I swear if hes getting another funnel cake......" Muttered Cadence. "Stay in this area, I might know where he is."
Cadence walked towards the direction of the food vendors.
"Now what?" Asked Comet tail.
He noticed Twilight was no longer next to him.
"Twi?"
He noticed twilight was staring at one of the games set up. It was a ring toss game with colored teddy bears as prizes.
"One game please." Said Twilight, taking out three bits.
The clerk chuckled.
"Alright then, three rings."
The clerk took the bits and set three plastic rinds in front of Twilight.
"Here it goes." Muttered Twilight.
She tossed one ring, missing its target.
"Again...."
Twilight tossed the second ring, also missing. Comet tail Approached Twilight.
"Let me try this one." Said Comet tail.
"Can you get it?" Asked Twilight.
"Watch me."
Comet tail picked up the ring and tossed it. The ring landed perfectly on its target.
"Wow how did you do that?" Asked Twililight.
"My dad taught me." Said Comet tail.
The clerk gave Twilight a Blue bear.
"Thank you very much." Said Twilight.
Twilight gave Comet tail a peck on the cheek.
"And thank you Comet."
The two ponies noticed Cadence and Twilight's brother Shining armor approaching them.
"We should get back to Cadence." Said Twilight.
The two foals walked towards the two older ponies.

FOUR WEEKS LATER........
Comet tail and Twilight walked towards Comet's house.
"They're moving you to a different class?" Asked Twilight.
"Yeah....." Replied Comet tail. "But I promise that I will find you again."
They stopped in front of his garage.
"Then we can be together forever." Said Twilight.
They leaned in and kissed each other only to be interrupted by a bright flash.
"What the!?" Said Comet tail.
Standing near them with a camera was a younger Bright skies.
"Gotcha!" Said Bright.
"BRIGHT!" Yelled both ponies simultaneously.

Comet tail finished processing his memories.
"All those memories......." Muttered Comet tail.
"Ya find what ya need?" Asked Bright.
"I think I did." Said Comet tail. "You have that photograph you took at the end?"
"I put it in your scrapbook before you left Canterlot." Replied Bright.
Comet tail's eyes widened.
"Oh celestia dont let it be...."
Comet tail took out the scrapbook from his saddlebag and began flipping through it.
"Wh-why is it burnt?" Asked Bright.
Comet tail stopped at one page in particular. It was mostly burnt except for one spot where a picture would have been. Only the spot was blank.
"What the hay?" Muttered Comet tail,
"I put it there...... It didnt get burnt did it?" Asked Bright.
"No." Replied Comet tail. "No marks close enough to where it would gave been."
"Then where is it?" Asked Bright.
"The only pony other than me to touch that book was.........Goldengrape!"
Comet tail closed the book.
"I know where it is!"
Comet tail looked out the window, it was night out.
"Sis can I spend the night here?" Asked Comet tail.
"Sure, and one more thing." Replied Bright.
"What?" Asked Comet tail.
Bright smiled.
"Don't forget to visit."

The following day Comet tail took the first express train back to Ponyville.
He stepped out if the train and into the train station. Spike was waiting for him.
"Your back." Said Spike.
"Any updates?" Asked Comet tail.
"He didn't try anything, but they moved their date to an earlier time so they could go to the Harvest party." Replied Spike.
"When?"
"Its in two hours." Said Spike.
"I need you to drop my things off at the observatory." Said Comet tail.
He gave Spike his suitcase.
"Then I need you to follow them on their date."
Spike smirked.
"Can do." Said Spike.
Comet tail began to walk away.
"Now I need to get that photo." Thought Comet tail.
But he couldn't do it alone. He needed help. And he knew just the pony to help him.

You want to break into Goldengrape's house and steal something back from him?" Asked Thunderlane.
The two were standing outside Thunderlane's house.
"Yep." Replied Comet tail.
"..... Eh why not. Im in."
Thunderlane looked inside his house.
"I got some infiltration suits just for this sort of occasion........" Said Thunderlane.

Comet tail and Thunderlane sat in the bushes in front of Goldengrape's house.
Comet tail had a black tactical best, boots, an orange scarf, and night vision goggles resting on his forehead (Comet tail questioned why he needed them). Thunderlane also had a tactical vest snd boots, but he also had a bandana around his neck with a smiling sharp toothed mouth on it, and goggles.
"Ever see the inside of his house before?" Asked Thunderlane.
"Nope." Replied Comet tail.
They saw Goldengrape leave the home.
"Hes gone." Said Thunderlane,
"Good." Said Comet tail. "Know the plan?"
"Find your thing and get out." Replied Thunderlane.
They approached the house.
"Is it locked?" Asked Comet Tail.
Thunderlane raised the bandana so it was covering his muzzle.
"Lets see."
Thunderlane opened the door.
"Nope....."
They both stepped inside.

The inside of the house was almost exactly as Comet tail imagined it, not clean but also not dirty. There were a few newspapers and soda cans littering the floor, and there was a single empty pizza box on the floor. The front door led the two into the kitchen.
"So this is where Goldengrape lives." Said Comet tail.
"You think he keeps torture devices in the basement?" Joked Thunderlane.
Comet tail rolled his eyes. He would have preferred for Caramel to be helping him but it was harvest day so he was working. Plus Thunderlane was the only one of his friends who would even think of breaking and entering.
"Look around here." Said Comet tail. "I'll check the next room.
Thunderlane nodded and Comet tail stepped into a nearby room.

Comet tail looked around the room. The carpet was orange with yellow wallpaper. There was a couch and an armchair set up near a coffee table. A small shelf was set up in one corner and the other had a small table with a potted plant on it.
"Must be the living room." Thought Comet tail.
Comet tail proceeded to check under the couch cushions.
"Nothing."
Comet tail looked at the potted plant.
"No way he'd put it in there." Thought Comet tail.
Comet tail looked at the shelf.
"Maybe....."
He approached the shelf.
The shelf was decorated with some trophies and framed pictures. The picture that Comet found the most interesting was one of Goldengrape standing next to a giant thing of grapes.
"Those are some big grapes." Muttered Comet tail.
Comet tail noticed a small photo album on the shelf.
"Hm?"
He picked it up with magic and opened it to the first page. On it stood a lone picture of A stallion and a Mare standing next to a small yellow colt.
"That must be Goldengrape."
He flipped through a few more pages. They all had pictures of a younger Goldengrape laughing and enjoying himself with the two older ponies who Comet tail guessed were his parents.
"He seems so happy." Thought Comet tail.
He flipped to the next page. The picture on that page was different. The mare was not in it and Goldengrape looked less happy.
"Wheres the mare?"
The next couple pages had Goldengrape either alone or with the stallion, he seemed to be growing less happy with each picture. About 3/4 of the way in, he noticed a school picture. In the picture a bunch of young foals were standing in a group with a grown mare standing to the right of that group.
"How the?"
Comet tail had the exact same picture in his scrapbook. He looked over the picture some more, he noticed that he was in the picture.
"This was the class I was transferred to." Muttered Comet tail.
Comet tail saw Goldengrape standing on the opposite side of the group from him,
"He was in my class..."
Comet tail barely knew anypony from his class, but he recalled a pony who looked slightly like Goldengrape, however he barely had any interaction with him. He decided to turn the page, the page was empty. The remainder of the photo album was empty except for the last page.
The last page had a picture of Goldengrape standing in Canterlot looking at something in the distance. In this picture Goldengrape was a few years older and he had his cutie mark.
"What is he looking at?" Thought Comet tail.
"Find anything?"
Comet tail turned and saw Thunderlane standing in the hallway.
"No." Said Comet tail.
He put the photo album back in its previous spot and walked to his friend.
"Kitchen was empty." Said Thunderlane. "Nothing out of the ordinary."
"Lets check the rest of the floor." Said Comet tail.
As they walked out of the room, Comet tail thought about the pictures one last time.
"After that mare vanished from those pictures Goldengrape started to change...." Thought Comet tail. "I'll worry about that later, right now I have to find my picture."

They finished checking the closet.
"Nothing but clothes and Board games." Said Thunderlane.
"There isn't much left to check on this floor." Added Comet tail. "Just a bathroom and a basement."
"Lets try the basement." Said Thunderlane.
They walked down the hall and looked at a wooden door.
"You first Comet." Said Thunderlane. "Make sure he doesn't have a pet troll down there or something."
Comet tail rolled his eyes and opened the door, revealing a set of stairs.
"Its probably just storage." Said Comet tail.
Comet tail slowly walked down the steps towards the basement.
"Any dead bodies!?" Called Thunderlane.
Comet tail reached the bottom of the stairs. His eyes widened at what was set up in there.
"Celestia......."
The basement was quite large, but what surprised Comet tail was the Grape plants growing. There was a large spot in the center where the floor had been removed and filled with soil. From that Soul grew numerous grape plants. Above the plants were multiple yellow and blue gems hanging from the ceiling, the yellow ones giving off a bright glow. Alot of the remaining space was filled by equipment that Comet tail did not recognize, and two wine shelves. On the wall was a framed document.
"This is...... Woah." Muttered Comet tail.
"Whats down there?" Asked Thunderlane.
"You got to see this." Replied Comet tail.
Thunderlane flew down and looked with surprise.
"Holy hailstorm....."
They walked around the basement.
"He has his own vineyard in his basement." Said Comet tail. "Is this even legal?"
"See that document there?" Said Thunderlane.
Thubderlane pointed at the framed document.
"Its a license from the canterlot government to make wine."
Comet tail raised an eyebrow.
"Wine?"
"This equipment you see is for making wine." Replied Thunderlane. "My Uncle Gutter owns a winery, the big machines turn grapes into wine."
Comet tail looked at the grapes.
"These grapes look healthy, despite the fact that they have been grown in a basement." Said Comet tail.
Thunderlane looked at the gems hanging from the ceiling.
"Sunstones and Rainstones." Said Thunderlane. "This setup he has is something."
Comet tail noticed a letter on one of the pieces if equipment. Ge picked it up with magic and began to read it.
Dear Cousin,
At first I doubted this underground vineyard idea of yours, but after tasting that wine sample you sent me I have to admit that I am highly impressed. This system of agriculture you created is revolutionary. Im going to Canterlot for a meeting with the highly respected Fruit Basket, and with your permission I wish to tell him of this brilliant idea of yours.
Your favorite cousin,
Purple Vineyard.
"Thats why Vineyard was going to Canterlot." Thought Comet tail.
"I still think Goldengrape is a jerk, But this is pretty cool." Said Thunderlane.
Comet tail put the letter back.
"Even jerks can have good ideas sometimes." Said Comet tail. "Lets check the second floor."
They walked back upstairs.

The walked up the staircase to the second floor. The stairs led to a hallway that was decorated with pictures of Goldengrape and other ponies. Among the pictures he recognized the Mare and the Stallion from the album, and Vineyard. There were five doorways in the hall.
"We both take two then we enter the last one together." Said Thunderlane.
Comet tail nodded as Thunderlane walked into a room on the right side of the hall. Comet tail walked into a room opposite the one Thunderlane walked into. It was a bathroom.
"Another bathroom?" Thought Comet tail.
He stepped out of the room.
"No way its there." Muttered Comet tail.
Comet tail turned his attention to another room.
"Maybe there...."
Comet tail stepped into the room, Closing the door behind him.

The room was dark, Comet tail fumbled around for A lightswitch. He felt it against the wall and flicked it on. The room was small with a brown carpet and yellow wallpaper. There was a desk set up against the wall with a chair. The desk was surprisingly clean except for a few papers. On the wall he saw a dart board that had a picture of his face tapped onto it. All the darts were in his forehead.
"This must be his study."
Comet tail looked at the papers on the desk, All of them were business related. He opened a Drawer on the desk and looked inside. All he saw was a journal and a pen.
"Maybe its in here..." Muttered Comet Tail.
Comet tail picked up the journal with magic and opened it.
May 5,
Vineyard sent me another letter today. Dont see why he cant just talk to me face to face, we live in the same town, and It only takes twenty minutes to get here. He wanted my opinion of that Farm mare, I dont care...... I did not mean for that to rhyme.
Comet tail flipped forwards a couple pages.
June 9,
Just learned that Mom passed away, She had it coming the moment she left me and Dad to fend for ourselves and ran off with that other mare. I got a letter she write for me before she croaked, it said she wanted to make up for my foalhood, left me half her life savings (other half went to her other "son") and some land rights up near Appleoosa. I don't forgive her, but I appreciate the dough, I can fund my little pet project now.
"Thats what happened." Muttered Comet tail. "The mare in the pictures was his mom and she left them for a another pony."
Comet tail flipped ahead.
June 30,
My underground orchard just started blooming. Soon enough I'll have my first crop ready for harvest and i'll make my first batch of wine. Also, I almost had a chance with this unicorn mare in the park, but Comet fail came in and told her that im some kind of a jerk. He is so going to get it.
Comet tail remembered that day. Goldengrape was hitting on a mare he knew from canterlot, Lyra Heartstrings. After that incident he found one of his astronomy books coveted in birdseed and at the mercy of a murder of crows. Goldengrape never had a chance, Lyra prefered mares. Comet tail flipped ahead.
August 28,
My grapes are ripe. Vineyard called me crazy to try but I showed him. Now just have to get them ready to be turned into wine. I also got a letter from Dad today, Apparently he moving out of Canterlot to Appleoosa. He says he cant take the pressure of his wine company up there so he sold it and bought a ranch. I never did like that stupid city anyways.

My first batch of wine is done. I started off making six bottles. The first one was for me to test (great stuff). The second bottle I gave to Vineyard so he would shut up about my basement grapes being a bad investment. I sent the third bottle to dad. Two bottles were sent to some wine tasters in Canterlot, and I kept the last one for myself. Guess I owe this to my mom. She may have abandoned me and dad but if not for her money I never could have done this. I'll just name the wine after her.

Shes with another stallion. My Daisy is with another stallion. I saw her in the park with that coconut or whatever his name is. I also ran into Comet tail on the way back, but I wasnt in the mood to deal with him. Comet tail. Hes the reason she left me. After I teach coconuts a lesson, Im going to get the revenge I promised that yellow whimp.
P.s. Vineyard says hes gunna ask out that Apple farmer tomorrow, he has to stop telling me every little detail of his life.

I finally know how Im gunna do it. I know how im going to get back at Comet Fail. I found his journal and according to the doodles in it, he has the hots for that purple unicorn who runs the Library. Twilight sparkle, shes friends with Vineyard's marefriend. Using the things I found in that notebook, Im Going to ruin his life. However I have to say he has guts. Nopony has ever stood up to me before him. Maybe i'll name one of our fouls after him, really tick him off.
Comet tail closed the journal, shocked by his discovery.
"That how he knew." Said Comet tail. "My notebook."
Comet tail put the journal away and closed the Drawer.
"I dont know how he got his hooves on it, but right now I have to find that picture. Its the only shot I have left."
Comet tail stepped out of the room to find Thunderlane Waiting for him.
"Nothing?" Asked Thunderlane.
Comet tail shook his head.
"Then theres only one place left."
They looked at the last room.
"If its not here, its either in the bathrooms or gone." Said Thunderlane.
Slowly Comet tail opened the door.

(Sorry if that ruined the mood, but I HAD to do that.)

The room gad blue wallpaper, a hardwood floor, a queen size bed with yellow sheets, drawers, a large snake tank, and a closet. The walls were decorated with pictures and posters of various bands and movies. They both knew which room this was.
"Golden grape's bedroom." Muttered Comet tail.
"Check over by the bed." Said Thunderlane. "I'll handle the closet."
Comet tail walked towards the bed. As he did so he passed by the snake tank and noticed its occupant, A blue snake with green eyes. Comet tail had heard Goldengrape mention the snake before, and now he saw the snake with his own eyes.
"You must be Hissy." Said Comet tail.
Hissy true to her name, hissed at him. Comet tail ignored its actions and walked to the bed. He looked at the nightstand, the only two items on it was a box of tissues and a heart shaped picture frame with a picture of Goldengrape and Daisy holding eachother affectionately.
"Daisy broke up with Goldengrape." Muttered Comet tail. "Why does he still have this?"
Thunderlane opened the closet and started to look inside. Comet tail opened the nightstand Drawer and looked inside. There were several items inside.
"Is it in here?"
Comet tail dug around but there was no picture inside.
"Rats." Said Comet tail.
Hissy perked her head up at the mention of the word.
"Hey Comet I found something!" Called Thunderlane.
Comet tail Ran over to the closet. Inside Thunderlane stood in front of a medium sized safe.
"If the think he took from you was that valuable, It could be in here." Said Thunderlane.
"Can you open it?" Asked Comet tail.
"Watch me."
Thunderlane began to crack the safe.
"Give me a few minutes."
Comet tail thought about everything he had seen inside Goldengrape's house, everything he had learned. Goldengrape was a happy foal once, but after his mother left he started his decent into becoming the pony he was today. He had a good idea that he believed in. But that did not change who he was. Goldengrape threatened ponies, he was using Twilight just so he could get revenge.
Thunderlane finished unlocking the safe.
"Done."
Comet tail watched as Thunderlane opened the safe.
Inside were several items, documents, and even a spring loaded hoof knife.
"Is that a spring loaded-"
"Yep." Interrupted Thunderlane. "Lucky......"
Comet tail noticed one item standing out in the contents. A picture with the back side facing him.
"Turn around Thunderlane." Said Comet tail.
"What, why-"
"Just do it."
Thunderlane turned around and Comet tail grabbed the picture. Slowly he turned it around.
It was his picture. Comet tail smiled. You could tell it was older, but it was very clear who the ponies in the picture were. A younger Comet Tail kissing a younger Twilight Sparkle on the lips, eyes closed, both ponies blushing slightly.
"Finally......" Muttered Comet tail.
Comet tail stuck the Picture into his vest.
"Lets get out of here." Said Comet tail,
"Lets, That snake is creeping me out." Replied Thunderlane.
They were cut off by hoofsteps.
"Its right over here."
"Uh oh, He's back." Muttered Thunderlane.
Comet tail closed the closet door as he heard two ponies walking in.
"Whats going on out there?" Asked Thunderlane.
"Close the safe. I'll find out." Said Comet tail.
Thunderlane closed the safe while Comet tail opened the door a crack. He saw Goldengrape standing next to Twilight sparkle as she looked around.
"Its........ Different." Said Twilight.
"Well im a different kind of colt." Replied Goldengrape.
Twilight noticed Hissy.
"I-is that a snake?"
"Don't worry, Hissy is a good girl."
Hissy hissed angrily at Twilight.
"That means she likes you."
Twilight took a step back.
"I should get back home, Spike must be wondering where I am." Said Twilight.
Comet tail could tell she was starting to get nervous.
"Please stay a little longer, I get lonely here sometimes." Said Goldengrape in a slightly needy tone.
"You sit upon a throne of lies." Thought Comet tail.
"No, I really have to-MMMMFFFFFF!!!!"
She was cut off when Goldengrape pressed his lips against hers, the look on Twilight's face was clear that she did not expect or want it.
"Whats going on?" Asked Thunderlane.
Comet tail was filled with rage. He felt like rushing out of the closet and teaching Goldengrape a lesson, a very painful lesson.
Twilight pushed Goldengrape away from herself and ghasped for air.
"You are disgusting!" Yelled Twilight.
Comet tail felt his rage suddenly vanish.
"Your tongue was everywhere! And it tasted like sour grapes!"
"I like grapes." Said Goldengrape.
"And your manners at the restaurant were poor as well!" Yelled Twilight.
"Look if you give me fifteen minutes, I can show you the time of your life." Said Goldengrape.
Twilight blushed.
"Im going to kill him." Thought Comet tail.
Twilight turned around and bucked him in the face, sending him onto the ground.
"Ow!"
Twilight turned to leave.
"This is why your last marefriend left you!"
Twilight trotted out. Goldengrape got up and rubbed his face.
"How does she kick that hard? She spends all her time reading." Said Goldengrape.
Goldengrape suddenly clutched his stomach.
"Uh oh." Said Goldengrape.
Goldengrape ran out of the room.
"Nows our chance to leave." Said Comet tail.
They opened the closet door and exited the room.

Comet tail set the last of his "spy gear" on Thunderlane's bed.
"Aren't you going to take yours off?" Asked Comet tail. "We don't really need it right now."
Thunderlane was still wearing his gear, except with the bandanna lowered.
"Not just yet." Said Thunderlane. "Blossomforth thinks its hot."
Comet tail sighed.
"Thanks for the help Thunderlane." Said Comet tail.
"Hey I had fun doing it." Said Thunderlane. "We should break into houses more often."
Comet tail chuckled.
"See you later." Said Comet tail.
"Later."
Comet tail got up and left.

Comet tail approached the Ponyville library and saw Spike outside. The purple dragon noticed him and ran up to the unicorn.
"How did it go?" Asked Spike.
"I got the edge I need." Said Comet tail.
"Great, but Twilight doesn't want visitors right now." Said Spike. "You can talk to her at the harvest party."
"Thanks, I'll do that." Replied Comet Tail.
"Also did Goldengrape need to use the Restroom at any time?" Asked Spike.
Comet tail raised an eyebrow.
"I think so."
"Then the laxative worked." Said Spike.
"Right......" Said Comet tail.
Comet tail walked towards the direction of the observatory, he had a party to get ready for.

Will Comet tail get the girl? Will Goldengrape get his revenge? Will I ever stop listening to Ezio's family and Venice rooftops at the same time!?

Also I found that the Defalco theme from black ops 2 goes good with Goldengrape's scenes.

Goldengrape stepped into his room.
"Twilight thinks im disgusting." Said Goldengrape.
Goldengrape opened a drawer near Hissy's tank.
"She probably hates my guts right now."
Goldengrape took a mouse out of the drawer and set it into Hissy's tank.
"Must be desperate to find a special somepony now."
Hissy wrapped herself around the mouse, squeezing it tight. Goldengrape smiled and let out a small laugh.
"All according to plan."
Goldengrape lifted his matress and took out a sheet of paper that had been under it, then set the mattess back down. Hissy squeezed the mouse tighter.
"Just have to wait for the right moment."
The mouse stopped moving,
"Then revenge will be mine."
Goldengrape looked at the paper. On it was a few words and a time.
STARTOP HILL
11:07PM
"Be good Hissy, Im going to a party."
Goldengrape walked out of the room as Hissy lunged at the mouse.
Comet tail looked over his notes as he sipped a cup of coffee.
"The Meteoras Cordis are going to be passing by tonight." Thought Comet tail.
In his notes was a map of an area near Sweet Apple Acres. Two spots were circled In on it.
"Theres two spots in the area that have better visibility of the shower than others..." Muttered Comet tail. "A gap in The West Apple orchard, And Startop hill."
Startop hill was a hill where the sky was easily visible. The hill itself was located just off of the Farm's property. Comet tail had been there several times to watch comets, meteor showers, and other astrological phenomena.
"Im finally going to do It tonight." Said Comet tail.
Comet tail had a plan all figured out. He would Leave the harvest party early with Twilight to get ready for the shower, then as it was about to happen he would confess his feelings and show Twilight the picture.
"Nothing can Stop me now."
Comet tail trotted into his bathroom to prepare a bath.

Comet tail Approached Caramel's house, Saddlebags on his back.
"Here we go." Said Comet tail.
He knocked on the door.
"Caramel are you there!?" Called Comet tail.
No response. He knocked again.
"Are you asleep in there!?"
"Coming!" Shouted Caramel.
A few moments later Caramel answered the door.
"Hey Comet."
"Ready to head out?" Asked Comet tail.
"Yeah, just give me a Sec." Replied Caramel.
Caramel closed the door and returned a minute later with his Saddlebags.
"Good to go." Said Caramel. "Lets get to that party."
The two stallions headed for Sweet apple acres.

Comet and Caramel approached Sweet apple acres, both in the midst of a discussion.
"So You had to go to Canterlot to get a book you needed?" Questioned Caramel.
"Yeah." Lied Comet tail.
"Wouldn't Twilight have the book you needed?" Asked Caramel.
Comet tail quickly changed the topic.
"I saw Vineyard on the train there."
Caramel stopped, Comet tail swore he could see his eye twitch.
"Mel?"
"I-....im alright." Said Caramel.
"I think he was going to some sort of a meeting up there." Said Comet tail. "I had a short conversation with him."
"What did he say?" Asked Caramel.
"He said Goldengrape hates my guts."
"No Surprise there." Said Caramel.
"He also doesn't like Aj's friends.... Or you."
Caramel's eyes widened.
"He doesn't?"
Comet tail shook his head.
"He said you were obnoxious, and he thinks all Twilight does is read." Said Comet tail. "Should we Tell Applejack?"
"No." Replied Caramel. "She wouldn't believe us unless we had proof."
"Maybe we could get proof." Said Comet tsil.
Caramel raised an eyebrow.
"What do you mean?"
"When he gets back we could find some proof that he doesn't like Applejack's friends and give it to her." Said Comet tail. "She would dump him faster than a cheetah in a foot race."
Caramel smiled.
"Sounds like a plan." Began Caramel. "Lets get to the party."

They reached the barn where the party was taking place. They could hear talking and music coming from the inside.
"Sounds like they're having fun in there." Said Caramel.
"Yeah." Said Comet tail. "Lets go join them."
They stepped inside the barn. String up lights were set up inside, there was a refreshments table set up in the corner, and a small band was set up near a section of the barn that appeared to be the dance floor. There were several ponies inside socializing and dancing.

"This is a bigger party than last years." Said Caramel.
Comet tail smelt the fresh baked apple treats Comming from the refreshment table.
"Food smells better too." Added Comet tail.
They both chuckled.
"Im going to find Lucky." Said Caramel.
"Alright, have fun." Said Comet tail.
Comet tail walked towards the refreshment table.
"Im starving." Thought Comet tail.
He approached the table and noticed a familiar purple unicorn levitating a half eaten apple fritter.
"Twilight!" Thought Comet tail.
He approached Twilight.
"Hey Twilight." Said Comet tail.
"Oh hey." Said Twilight.
Comet tail picked up an apple fritter with magic.
"So how was your day?" Asked Comet tail.
"Not good. I had a date, but it turns out he was the complete opposite of everything I wanted in a colt." Replied Twilight.
Comet tail took a bite of his fritter.
"Im starting to think that theres no pony in this town for me."
"Im sure theres somepony here." Said Comet tail.
"But nopony like the one from canterlot...." Muttered Twilight.
Comet tail took another bite of his fritter.
"Don't forget about the meteor shower tonight." Said Comet tail.
Twilight's ears perked up.
"Oh yeah, it slipped my mind."
Comet tail smiled.
"We should probably head for Startop hill to see it." Said Comet tail. "It has a better view."
"Right, Get me when you want to head down." Said Twilight.
Comet tail nodded and walked away with his fritter.
"Thats it!" Muttered Twilight. "Thats how I find me special somepony."

Comet tail had been at the party for an hour and a half now. He decided that he needed a breath of fresh air, so he stepped outside.
Comet tail looked up at the sky.
"Just a little bit longer......" Muttered Comet tail.
He noticed Caramel step out of the barn.
"You needed some fresh air?" Asked Comet tail.
Caramel looked at his friend.
"No. I have to check on something." Replied Caramel.
"Oh." Said Comet tail.
"I'll only be a bit." Said Caramel.
Caramel walked away. Comet tail looked back at the sky.
"Maybe I should find Twilight and get ready to head out." Muttered Comet tail.
Comet tail walked back inside.

Comet tail looked around the barn.
"Where is she?"
Comet tail noticed Pokey standing nearby talking with Pinkie Pie. Comet tail Approached the two.
"So I said lettuce? Are you nuts?" Said Pinkie pie.
"Hey." Said Comet tail.
The pair looked at him.
"Comet." Began Pokey. "How are you?"
"Good." Replied Comet tail. "You seen Twilight?"
"No, sorry." Said Pokey.
"Oh oh! Spike would know!" Said Pinkie in her enthusiastic tone.
"Thanks." Said Comet tail.
Comet walked away from the two.
"Where is he....?"
"Comet!" Said a voice.
Comet tail turned and saw spike running towards him.
"Twilight ran off." Said Spike.
"What?" Replied Comet tail.
"Twilight ran off somewhere. I tried to follow her but I lost her."
Comet tail looked at the exit.
"I might know where she went." Said Comet tail. "Stay here and make sure nopony looks for me."
Comet tail galloped towards the exit, passing by a nervous looking grey stallion.
"Why didn't she wait for me?" Thought Comet tail.
Comet tail exited the barn.
"I have to get to Startop hill."
Comet tail ran out of sweet apple acres.

The path to Startop hill was just off the dirt road leading to sweet apple acres. It was essentially a wooded area, full of trees but one could easily see the sky from the ground. A couple apple trees added diversity to the area.
Comet tail ran down the wooded path.
"Twilight!?" Called Comet tail.
Then suddenly a hoof stuck out from a tree in front of Comet tail, tripping him as he ran over it.
"Ooohhh...."
"Nice try Comet fail."
Goldengrape stepped out from behind the tree.
"Goldengrape!" Yelled Comet tail.
"I take it your going to see the meteoro cordless."
"Its meteoras cordis!" Said Comet tail.
"Whatever."
Goldengrape began to walk around Comet tail.
"I know you saw my notebook." Said Comet tail.
"You think I care that you know that? Guess what, I don't." Said Goldengrape. "All I care about is getting my revenge."
Goldengrape kicked one of Comet tail's hind legs.
"You ruined my life." Began Goldengrape. "I lost the respect I earned, my two idiot lackeys...."
Goldengrape stomped on Comet tail's front left hoof.
"And the only mare who ever understood me!"
Comet tail grunted.
"You didn't earn that respect, you stole it! You bullied everypony into respecting you." Said Comet Tail.
"You can kiss Twilight goodbye."
Goldengrape kicked dirt into Comet's face.
"Shes mine now."
"She would never end up with a thug like you!" Yelled Comet tail.
"I beg to differ." Said Goldengrape. "I know how that shower works, You watch it and you find your Soulmate. How would Twilight react if she thought that Soulmate Was me?"
Comet tail growled angrily at him.
"One that shower is finished, im going to walk up to her." Said Goldengrape. "Shes going to think im her destined match. Just like the books said would happen."
"The only way you would succeed, is if you kill me." Said Comet tail.
Goldengrape laughed.
"Im not going to kill you." Said Goldengrape. "Your going to watch our 'love' bloom into a lifelong unity, from the comfort of a wheelchair!"
"Ive had enough of you Goldengrape."
Comet tail got up.
"This ends now!" Yelled Comet tail.
Comet tail took off his saddlebag and set it against a tree.
"So we got ourselves a hero." Said Goldengrape smugly.
Goldengrape smirked.
"This is going to be fun."

Goldengrape swung at Comet tail. The unicorn dodged his attack and swung his right hoof into Goldengrape's face,
Comet tail was no fighter, but he knew a thing or two from going to the gym with Thunderlane and watching Kung-Fu movies with Pokey.
"Guess you actually got some fight in you." Said Goldengrape.
Goldengrape charged at Comet tail. Comet tail sidestepped and punched his right shoulder.
"Barely hurt!"
Goldengrape turned to Comet tail and punched him in the neck.
"You think your the good guy in all this!?" Yelled Goldengrape.
Goldengrape tripped Comet tail and kicked his head.
"Your no hero Comet, your a nerd with a crush!"
Comet tail got up.
"Well im more of a hero than you are!" Yelled Comet tail.
Comet tail swung at Goldengrape. He blocked the punch with his front hoof.
"Your sloppy Comet fail!"
Comet tail headbutted Goldengrape, knocking him back a bit.
"But I got a few tricks." Said Comet tail.
"Your not the only one with a few tricks." Said Goldengrape.
Goldengrape swung around and bucked Comet tail with his hind legs. The impact sent Comet tail flying against an Apple tree.
"Your a wimp Comet! Ever since magic freaking kindergarden!"
Comet tail slowly got up.
"What do you remember about magic kindergarden!?" Yelled Comet tail.
"I remember you sucked up to the teacher! And you were a huge tattle tale!"
Comet tail's horn began to glow.
"But lets not dwell in that any lo-"
An apple flew into his face, splattering all over his muzzle.
"Gah!"
Comet tail had several apples floating around him, all held by magic.
"Never hurts to give a teacher an apple!"
Comet tail threw the rest of the apples at Goldengrape, most of them hitting him.
"Fight me like a stallion!" Yelled Goldengrape. "You fight like a fruit salad!"
Comet tail ran at Goldengrape and punched him multiple times. Goldengrape managed to sidestep a punch and hit Comet in his side.
"Im actually working up a sweat!" Said Goldengrape.
Goldengrape decided to finish things.
He tackled Comet tail into a tree and pinned him down.
"Before I shut that mouth of yours, tell me Comet. Why did you, YOU of all ponies decide to stand up to me?"
Goldengrape raised his front right hoof.
"Why?"
Goldengrape swung his hoof at Comet's head, but the blow never connected. Goldengrape's hoof was surrounded by a blue glow.
"What the!?"
Comet tail's horn glowed the same color.
"Why did I decide to stand up against you?" Said Comet tail.
The glow spread to the rest of Goldengrape's body, the stallion was slowly lifted into the air.
"What are you-"
Comet tail got up.
"Because Nopony else would!" Yelled Comet tail.
Comet tail used his magic to throw Goldengrape around, smacking him into trees and against the ground.
"GGGGAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" Was all Goldengrape could yell.
Comet tail decided Goldengrape had enough so he released him, causing the Earth piny to collide with a tree.
"Ah..... My back....."
Comet tail trotted over to Goldengrspe and held his head in his hoof as he knelt down to Goldengrape's eye level.
"Stay away from Twilight....."
Goldengrape's eyes displayed a look of fear.
"And If I ever see you harming any pony ever again, then I'm going to give you a much more painful ride. Kap-eash? "
Goldengrape merely nodded.
"Good."
Comet tail got up.
"Now leave."
Goldengrape scrambled to his hooves and ran to the direction of the main road. Comet tail took a moment to revel in his accomplishment.
"I just beat Goldengrape....." Thought Comet tail.
Comet tail picked up his saddlebag and put it back on.
"Im losing time, I need to find Twilight."
Comet tail galloped towards the direction of Startop hill.

Comet tail reached Startop hill. Sitting at the top was Twilight Sparkle.
"Time to do this." Thought Comet tail.
Comet tail slowly walked up the hill. Once he reached the top he looked at Twilight.
"Twilight."
Twilight quickly turned around.
"C-comet?"
Comet tail took a step forwards.
"Comet I have to see this alone." Said Twilight.
"Why?" Asked Comet tail.
"Comet, All my friends are getting into relationships. I want one too."
"What about the pony from Canterlot?" Asked Comet tail.
Twilight Sighed.
"It was stupid of me." Began Twilight. "That stallion probably moved on and found a new marefriend."
"Twilight I have to tell you something." Began Comet tail.
"What is it?"
"Twilight I......."
The words would not flow well.
"I...... I..... ." Said Comet tail.
Comet tail decided to speak with his actions instead.
Comet tail pressed his lips against Twilights.
Twilight felt suddenly happy. She slowly closed her eyes and returned the kiss.
"Finally...." Thought Comet tail
They broke the kiss.
"That kiss...... It was just like...." Muttered Twilight.
Comet tail floated his picture out of his saddlebag and handed it to Twilight. Twilight looked over the picture with surprise.
"Thats me.... Kissing......"
She looked at Comet tail.
"Your........"
"Him."
Twilight blushed lightly.
"I cant believe it...... We found eachother again." Said Twilight.
"Guess were back together now." Said Comet tail.
Twilight wrapped him into a hug.
"And I want it to stay that way." Said Twilight.
Comet tail hugged her back. He could herl a tear dripping down her cheek and falling onto his shoulder.
"Are you crying?" Asked Comet tail.
"Im just...... So happy." Replied Twilight.
Comet tail looked up, the meteor shower was starting. Several meteors with pink trails decorated the sky.
"Its starting." Said Comet tail.
They looked at the meteors.
"Its amazing." Said Twilight.
"Never in my years of astronomy have I seen something like this." Said Comet tail.
Comet tail briefly turned away from the shower and noticed a figure on a nearby hill.
It was Goldengrape.
Despite the distance between them, Comet tail Recognized him immediately. Goldengrape looked at the two ponies before turning around and leaving. Comet tail looked back at the meteor shower.
"Its over, all the longing to be with Twilight, all those years of having to put up with Goldengrape, its all finally over." Thought Comet tail. "This is where the next chapter of my life begins."
They watched the last meteor go by.
"Now what?" Asked Comet tail.
"Spike can handle himself at the party." Said Twilight. "How about we head into town to celebrate our reunion."
They both got up and Twilight smirked.
"I could go for a coffee."
"Lead the way." Said Comet tail.
The pair walked away from the hill.

TWO YEARS LATER.
Comet tail knocked on the library door.
Over the past two years all of Twilight's friends had found Coltfriends. Comet tail's relationship with Twilight had grown greatly, the two were almost inseperable. The two often discussed literature and science while on dates and stargazed together often. Comet tail even bought a wedding ring to give to Twilight when he believed the time was right.
Goldengrape never bothered another pony ever again, in fact he moved out of Ponyville a week after his confrontation with Comet tail. The night he left, Comet tail found a bottle of wine with a six marked on it lying on his doorstep. Comet tail concluded that it was a peace offering and shared it with Twilight (both of them liked it).
Twilight answered the door.
"Comet." Said Twilight. "You made it."
Comet tail stepped inside.
"So what is this anniversary present you said you had?" Asked Twilight.
They were celebrating their two year anniversary today.
"My sister found a couple scrapbooks buried in her basement." Said Comet tail.
Comet tail took off his saddlebag and took a scrapbook out of it. It was similar to the one that had been burnt only with a blue cover.
"She had alot of pictures of us."
Comet tail opened the book and the two unicorns looked at its contents.
Inside were several pictures of them as foals doing various activities together. Twilight recognized one of her and Comet at the fair. There were also alot of more recent pictures of them on various dates.
"This is great." Said Twilight.
Twilight turned the page. There was an empty spot in the album.
"Why is there a picture missing?" Asked Twilight,
"I got it right here." Replied Comet tail.
Comet tail took out his damaged scrapbook and floated a picture out of it. It was the picture of them together that Comet found the night they went to the coffee shop, the very picture that made Comet realize who Twilight was.
"Heres to the best two years of my life." Said Comet tail.
Twilight grabbed the picture with magic and placed it in the scrapbook.
"We have come pretty far, haven't we?" Asked Twilight.
"We sure have." Replied Comet tail.
They kissed each other. After a minute they broke the kiss and nuzzled each other's necks.
"I love you Comet."
"Love you too Twi......"
