Prologue

Year: 1512 July 1st Location: Los Pegasus, Equestria

Fifteen hundred years after Discords defeat at the hooves of Celestia and Luna using the elements of Harmony and five hundred years after Nightmare Moons banishment Princess Celestia looked on at the dragon horde that had taken Los Pegasus. Their leader Gregok intended to take all of the cities wealth and then move on too Canterlot uncaring of the homes of the ponies that he destroyed with his army. But she had a trump card she had tried to disuade him from his course of action told him ihis plan was suicide but he would not change his mind fully intending to defeat the dragon king Gregok and his army.

Celestia of course had listened to the stories he told of his adventures among the stars and knew that he was more than capable of it. Her former affinity with the Element of Honesty allowed her to see that he was telling the truth. He had spent ten years with her laughing listening and they had truly become friends but now that was about to come to an end he had marched straight into the City after borrowing a large portion of her magical power. A guard captain pegasus landed right next to her and bowed.

"Princess of all of the citizens have been evacuated as ordered, but ti would take a miracle to defeat that dragons" Sharp Spear was his name she believed "What should we do now?

"Sit and wait captain your about to get your miracle" Celestia replied as a large dome of red light began expanding outwards from the centre of Los Pegasus. Every dragon caught in its path was instantly turned turned to ash until it stopped on the very edge of the city leaving the buildings themselves untouched and soon only one dragon was still alive and it was already flying away and was soon out of sight.

Eventually the red dome dissipated and Celestia took off for lights origin point hoping to find some trace of her friend. She was shocked to find him encased in stone with his two hands about a hoofballs length apart. His helmet  was the only thing that remained normal it vaguely resembled a knights helmet which a red visor. Celestia levitated it and held it close to her body with her magic.  Hot tears fell onto the helmet as sorrow she had not known for five hundred years claimed her and she broke down.

She attempted to undo the petrifacation but the strange magic he had used was disrupting any attempt at spells taking hold.

"Why did you do it?" Celestia sobbed through her tears "we could have found another way you didn't have do this"

A group of guards made their way to the Princess and all removed their helmets in respect. Sharp Spear was only one of who dared to speak.

"We're so sorry Princess we all know how much he meant to you" Sharp Spear said consolingly

After a few more minutes of sobbing Princess Celestia  composed herself keeping the helmet held aloft.

"He'll be remembered for this I'll have a platform erected in the Canterlot sculpture garden and I want this moved there it will ensure that he is never forgotten and be very careful when moving him"

"By your command Princess" Sharp Spear  saluted his Princess as she flew away "Alright Everypony we have a lot of work to move move move!"

The other Guards all saluted and got work there was a lot to rebuild.

Date: July 5th 1512 Location: Canterlot Sculpture Garden

Four days later Princess Celestia stood before the crowd of ponies Buffallo, Zebra and even the goddess of the Gryphons who like Celestia was much larger than average Gryphons and several of her generals before the statue of their friend and hero. Which now stood opposite Discords statue on a platform made of gold. The Buffalo Chieftain stood forward to speak first.

"We Buffalo shall always remember him for his great wisdom, for with he resolved the petty conflicts of our tribes and brought us together to speak as brother and sister"

With that he rejoined the crowd and the Zebra representative stood forward.

"We of the Zebrican Republic shall always remember him for his great courage when he and a mere three hundred Zebra soldiers fought off a two hundred thousand Diamond Dog slavers" With that he rejoined the crowd and the Gryphon Goddess Alphya stood forward

"We Gryphons shall always remember him for his great Compassion and sacrifice when he slew the dread dragon Malykos at the cost of breaking most of the bones in his body and greatly damaging his organs all to save not only everyfeather but also a flock of chicks that were to become Malykos's next meal"

Celestia stood next took the front  as Alphya attempted to hide her tears behind her enormus wings as she went back to the crowd.

"I shall always remember him as one of my most cherished friends for without his friendship I do not know where I would be today Commander Shepard you shall be missed by us all fare you well"

As the crowd left to return to their own lands Celestia lamented on the fact she was unable to make the statue seem more impressive so she settled for making Discords statue look worse by comparison a few aging spells and some grime here and there and it definitely made the draconequus look worse. The Princess knew it was petty but it was no less than Discord deserved. With that she turned and made her way back to her castle.

Date: July 5th 1512 Location:Unknown

Meanwhile on an astral plane where his mind was confined a certain draconequus was sitting at a bar drinking a glass of choclate milk literally when a creature wearing armour with a crimson dragon and fur on top of its head appeared in the stool next to him. He recognised it as a human one fo the few creatures in the universe as chaotic and random as himself.

"What's this oh goody company you have no idea how boring the last fifteen centuries have been all on my lonesome" Discord exclaimed "So what did you do to get fossilised?"

Shepard shook his head and looked at the mismatched creature sitting next to him.

"Ugh my head who- who are you and where am I" Shepard asked feeling very disoriented

"Oh dear pardon my manners I am Discord and you my human companion are now confined to this astral plane where the minds of those who Celestia decides to fossilise get sent while their bodies remain stone" Discord explained with a grin

"Celestia told me about you that your complete liar and a trickster who earned his punishment" Shepard replied dryly

"A liar me never" Discord protested "I may occasionally bend the truth but why accuse me of such a thing like lying?"

Shepard simply gave him glare.

"Okay so I may have gone overboard on the chaos while I was out but in my defence I was heartbroken at the time, Celestia had the nerve to call me a mismatched freak in front of everypony and dump me right then and there" Discord recalled grimacing at the memory of the humiliation and rejection.

Shepard put his hand  on Discords back comfortingly.

"Maybe there was more going on then you knew about, maybe someone was forcing her against her will" Shepard suggested

"The rejection certainly felt real" Discord grumbled "Ah well its all in the past now"

Discords grin returned and he snapped his fingers vanishing the bar and changing the stools into chairs and a table with a deck of cards.

"So how about a game to pass the time?" Discord challenged

"How about Skyllian five poker or is the great spirit of Disharmony scared?" Shepard taunted

"Shut up and shuffle" Discord snapped suddenly getting an ominous feeling that he'd been tricked but shrugging it off.
