I will be using various ship types and other items created from the EVE Universe. All rights go to CCP games and the various creators of MLP. (Those guy are awesome!) Those who play or know about EVE can skip this 'chapter' if they so choose. It contains ship types and some back ground stuff about capsuleers. Story starts with the other chapter. (Capsuleers are immortal spaceship pilots that use the most powerful technology ever created. By using special implants, they can transfer their consciousness to another body on death. Due their 'expend ability' capsuleers have become a very powerful force in New Eden. Wither the populace loves or hates them, they are needed. Capsuleers can be found in just about any trade, from simple miners, right up to the CEO positions of major corporations.Capsuleers use 'pod technology to control their ships. These pods are inserted into ships and allow the pilots mind to control the ship with minimal effort. This brings the crews needed to pilot ships down considerably. However, even demi-gods need something to keep an eye on them. So using the best technology each empire can offer, CONCORD was founded to regulate capsuleers. CONCORD'S reaction time is legendary, bringing swift 'justice' (Justice in form of the aggressors ship being blown up)).
What you will see here is a collection of ship types that i use will use throughout the story. I want to keep this simple so i will just list the ship types and what they do. With some pictures so you can get an idea of what they look like. (For those of you who are current EVE players, most of the pictures shown will not have undergone the current V3 shading and will look differently to their game counter parts, I hope this is not a problem).
I got all of these from google, so while i cannot credit the artists directly, I want to thank them considerably for their effort. (Same deal with the story image...what ever you call it. I forget all right.)

As he sat down, he let out a small sigh. The various faction were just not going to give up on each other. With the Minmatar pushing deep into Amarr space and the Gallente being beaten back by the Caldari. It was all going to hell. To make the New Eden even worse was the null-sec alliances. There are apparent reports of a huge war in the 'Delve' region just to the north. It was not really his concern, but it made him wonder if there was anything left of 'peace' in the world.
Jack sat down and flicked onto the CONCORD news channel. Same old stuff, nothing new. Empires fighting each other, people being abducted by Sansha's nation, as well as the usual adverts for people selling ships, weapons, modules etc. But a new report caught his attention.
"A newly discovered star system?" he whispered to himself.
"Just south of here near...hmm...i might want to check that out" he thought to himself.
Life as part of the militia can get tough sometimes. Although he loved fighting for a as noble and just as the Federation, he sometimes grew weary of it all.
CONCORD had declared the new system 'ready for investigation by capsuleers'.
Jack smiled to himself as he got up and walked to the end of the hand rails up the the docking area. From there he could choose from a large range of ships. Jack is a capsuleer. An immortal spaceship pilot with 2/3 years of experience with the Federation Navy. He had joined the Gallente militia as soon as he graduated from the advance military pilot course during his first weeks of ascending to 'capsuleerhood'.
He quickly scanned through his list of ships, ranging from simple frigates to a Thanatos carrier that he had spent months training and missioning for. It was his first capital ship and his pride and joy. But he won't be needing that today. Instead he chose his Imicus. A simple frigate fitted with scan probes and a cloak. He placed himself into his pod, and plugged the wires into the special socket in the back of his head. As he switched the systems on, the door closed and he felt his subconscious take control of the basic ship function. He could feel the cloak , scan probe launcher and the other various modules the ship had been fitted with. Pleased that everything was working, he hit the 'set destination' button and proceeded to undock from the station he was in
The system he wanted was only about 7 jumps away, but he lived in low sec. All the solar system in New Eden has a security number given to them by CONCORD. 1.0-0.5 is high sec, where it is usually quite safe to go about your business. Anyone that attacked another person without good reason was instantaneously destroyed by CONCORD. 0.4-0.1 is considered low sec, still under empire rule and the eye of CONCORD. But here was a much more dangerous place. You could attack anyone or get attacked by anyone and the aggressor would only lose some security status (A status you must above -0.1 if the pilot wants to enter a high security system) and sentry guns would open fire if the aggressor had a global criminal countdown.
The area jack was heading through ranged from 0.3-0.1 security status system. So he had to be careful or avoid pilots of enemy militia's and the pirates that roamed the low sec regions of New Eden.
After carefully picking his way through the systems (and narrowly avoid getting blow up by a pirate gate camp) he made it to the mystery system. CONCORD had not yet given the system a proper name as it was still under review. So the system was dubbed 'UL89-KH'. Just like all null sec systems. The new system had an unknown security status for the time being, but you were relived to see a CONCORD BS outside of the gate.
Jack jumps through without any problems and sets his ships computer for what appears to be the only planet in the system. This planet only had a single moon as well. Even Sol, the supposed birth place of humanity had several planets and lots of moons. There was obviously something irregular here. Never the less, he proceeds to warp to the planet.

Luna walked calmly into her room, lest she give away her real feeling to the guards around her. Today was a day same as any other. Yet she could feel something....unusual. Something she had never felt before. It was like there was something else present besides her, even though the room was empty. She sighs and puts the feeling to the back of her mind for a while. The sun was setting and she needed to bring her beautiful night once more upon her home. She walked onto her balcony, closed her eyes and channeled her power through her horn. The moon began to move along its steady course into the night sky. With her duty done, she walked back into her room and quietly slumped onto her bed, eager to try and find out what this annoying feeling was.

Jack ship came to rest next to the 'soon to be customs office' that was in orbit around the planet. During his trip, he had be able to acquire some new information on this mystery planet. The reports that came through said that the planet was inhabited by a very large range of creatures. And that the most predominant were-
"Ponies?...of all life that exists in the universe, why ponies?"
Jack had been getting his information from a fellow corp mate that had woken up recently. His name was jay and he had been jack's friend since they graduated to become capsuleers.
"I'm not sure why self to be quite honest. But the system is very strange...it makes me feel like i'm in a worm hole or something."
"What makes you think that" jack asked curiously.
"Well, it has a different effect on ship systems, like there is something affecting the integrity of the entire system" Jay stated.
"I'm not entirely sure what you...you...what the hell??!" Jack shouted down the channel.
"Jack? Are you ok? Jack?!" Jay shouted but it was in vain, as jay was completely captivated by what he saw in front of him. Jack focused his camera drones a little more and saw that the moon was moving, but not slowly like he or anyone else would expect, but rather in large chucks. The moon its self even seem to glow a little bit, a dark blue aura was surrounding the the moon as it moved. Then quickly as it appeared, it disappeared leaving him completely awestruck.
"Jack! Come you idiot...just don't leave me there in a middle of a sentence' Jay grumbled over the channel.
"S-Sorry Jay but...but..." he trailed off yet again.
"But what? Your not making any sense." Jay was starting to get a little frustrated.
Jack mentally slapped himself, and thought about what he saw.
"Jay, your defiantly right. There is something really weird in this system. I just saw the systems only moon glow and move like a couple hundred Km...." as he trailed off yet again.
"Ok, this is getting really weird. What do you think we should do?" He asked.
Jack thought for a moment and came up with a plan, it was a crude plan, but a plan none the less.
"Alright, this is what i think we should do. I'm going to go off and make a safe spot in system. I'l bookmark it and head back to station. In the mean time, can you and Andy get some of those drop suits and pods together?"
"Your not seriously thinking of landing on the planet are you? We have no idea whats down there, initial reports barely told us anything." But jay could not help the small smile creeping onto his face. First humans to touch down on an undiscovered world inhabited by 'supposed' sentient equines. Now offering no resistance, he let his smile grow.
"Alright, il talk to Andy about getting us some gear. But how do you suppose we make contact?"
"Well, the CONCORD says that the planet has the same atmosphere composition as a lot of other 'garden' worlds. So we can breath normally down there without gear. Grab a few assault rifles though and make sure that the suits shields are strong, i want us to be well protected in case we come across anything hostile. We shall be ambassadors on behalf of the Gallente Federation" He finished with a smile.
"Okay...but how do we get down there." Jay inquired.
"Simple" Jack replied.
"We will get Andy to light a cyno in system and bring my carrier in. That way we can drop anything we might need from orbit. Including ourselves."
"Can Andy even fly a Thanatos?" He asked warily.
"I know he can, he flies them with a bloody triage module." Jack laughing as he finished.
"Alright, i'l come with you. But if we get killed your buying me a beer and a new set of +3's" Jay smirked.
"Fine, suit up and i'l make the safe spot and get the carrier ready. Don't forget to tell Andy or this won't work."
They both cut the channel and set about their respective jobs. Both wondering what they will find when they get to the surface. Jack could barely contain his excitement. He was looking forward to this.
An hour passed, in that time they had managed to bring his carrier in with little problem. The only exception being that they lacked the fuel in which to jump, so they can to run off to a local trade hub to get some. Delaying them by about 25 minutes. But they were all now in system, and running through final checks.
"Ammo?" Jay shouted.
"Check!" Jack replied loudly.
"Food"?"
"Check"
"Medi-packs?"
"Check"
"Vehicle fuel?"
"Check"
"Oxygen tanks?"
"Check"
"Alright, lets go through our emergency supplies" Jay shouted as he walked towards Jack.
"You sure? We're carrying a lot all ready..." He replied cautiously.
"We're not taking more than the pods can handle. Besides, we have not idea whats down there. They might be killers."
"I somehow highly doubt that..." Jack said, rolling his eyes.
"What makes you so sure?" He questioned.
Jack looked away from his list and looked at jay like he was some sort of idiot. "The scans say that the 'native species' as it were, are no more than up the bottom of our ribs. Their tiny. And besides..." He finishes but climbing onto the armored jeep next to them. "I don't think they be able to withstand this" He finished with a grin on his face and he loaded the monstrosity of a weapon that was on the jeep. Jay looked up to where jack was loading the ammo into the thing.
"I'll never understand how the Minmatar are able to make weapons that fire such rounds and such high rates of fire...its scary how they do so."
What stood before him was an armored, roofless jeep which bore a single 9.87mm rapid fire mini gun. It was belt fed and had a well earned reputation for cutting men (and small vehicles) in half. "What I will never understand if how this thing works." He replied. "The handles are held together with freaking duct tape. And I swear that there is chewing gum holding some sort of vital component together in it..." Jack finished loading the vehicle and jumped down from it.
"Ha ha, more than likely" Jay replied. "Anyway, we need to check these emergency supplies, I'm not leaving without them."
"Alright" Jack grumbled.
"Extra ammo?"
"Check"
"Extra fuel, food, medicine etc"
"Check, check, double check"
"2 cheap, dirty holo vids in case we get stranded?"
"Check...?" jack said with a hint of worry.
"Relax, there not for you." Jay smiled. "Are my 'special magazines' in there? You know...the 'clean' ones?"
"And by 'clean', you mean 'unused'. Am I right?" Jack grimaced.
"Yup. Those ones." Jay smiled.
"Check..." Jack said. Now feeling ill at the thought of what those magazines might go through.
"Alright, that's everything. Get the gear loaded on the LRC and move it over the drop zone. Jay finished.
"What the hell is an LRV?" Jack questioned.
"The jeep you moron. Light Recon Vehicle?" Jay replied, face palming.
"Sooo...you guys are actually going to try this huh?" A deep hearted voice said.
"Thats the idea Andy. Of course we will give credit to you who helped us." With jay waving a hand at him.
"HA, very modest of you." He chuckled. "But whats your plan?"
Jay tapped a button on the interface in the cabin and brought up a 3D map on the scanned area.
"Jack said that this area here would be a great landing zone. Its a 20 meter clearing in these thick woods and its within quick driving distance to what we think is a large town. From there I guess we will just say hi and hope they don't try and kill us." Jay finished with a half smile.
"Looks to me like you don't want to go boy? Hmmm...?" Andy inquired.
"Its not that. I'm just not sure what we will find down there." Jay finished.
Andy was about to ask another question when a small beeping sound filled the room. He swung around on his chair and tapped the flashing button. "You alright jack?"
"Good thanks. Tell Jay that everything is loaded and ready. We can go anytime." He said over the channel.
"Alright, he is on his way" Andy finished, swinging his chair round to face Jay. "I have the co-ords for the drop, pop these into the computer and hit 'fire' when ready Andy." Jay handed the code over to him.
"Very well. Suit up lad, you have a lot of work ahead of you" He smiled turning around to face his console again.
Jay walked in and strapped himself into the sides of the pod. "You ready?" He asked Jack. "Dude, I was *born* ready. Lets do this!" Jack shouted back.
"Alright. Andy, we're good to go. FIRE NOW!" Jay shouted.

Rushing through the skies is something that she will never get used to. The adrenalin pumping its way around her system, her mane cutting through the air. It felt exhilarating. She came to rest on a cloud and stared up at the sky. "What a great day...I hope nothing ruins today" She sighed happily to herself. But something caught her eye and was a little started by what she saw. It was like a small, bright orange spark in the sky, right above her. At first she thought it was nothing but it got bigger and bigger. She raised herself to her hooves and realized that whatever it was. It was heading towards her. Fast. That thing was an orange spark a very seconds ago, now its a large ball of flame. And it is still heading towards her quickly. Rainbow quickly darts off towards the safety of Ponyville, namely the library. Maybe she can get an answer on what this mysterious thing is.
Twilight was going about her chores and daily business like any other day. It was mostly quiet with only the few grunts from her #1 assistant. The only thing to ruin this lovely setting my a crash that came from her bedroom window. Twilight had become farmilar with this sound over the past few years she had been living here and did not pay too much attention to it.
"Hello Rainbow" She said in a tired expression.
"Twilight, quick. You HAVE to come see this! I'v never seen this before!" She explained.
"I'm sure whatever it is, it can wait until i have finished re-organizing this shelf." Twilight replied.
"No. You have to see it now. It's falling straight from the sky and is heading straight for us!! Rainbow Dash cried.
This was enough to grab the purple unicorns attention. She quickly spun around.
"What is falling from the sky?" She asked quickly.
"I don't know! Thats why I'm asking you now! Quickly, come see it!" With that, rainbow burst out through the front door of the library. Twilight promptly followed with spike behind her. They both looked up and their mouth dropped with what they saw. Whatever it was, it looked like it was going for them. But Twilight knew better, and saw from the angle of...whatever it is, it was going to miss them. But not by much. "Rainbow, 2 things." The unicorn stated. The cyan pegasus turned around. "Number one, its going to miss us but barely." The speedster sighed in relief for a split second. "Number 2, get all the girls together and meet back here and quickly as possible. I don't know what it is, but it wont harm Ponyville." She finished with a sense of pride. The pegasus saw this and gave a quick salute before speeding off towards sweet apple acres. Twilight rushed into the library to get a few things in her saddlebags.
"Whats going on?!" The small dragon next to her asked in frustration.
"Something big is falling from the sky and heading for the Everfree forest. I intend to find out what" Twilight quickly replied.
"Alright, said the dragon. "But please be careful." He pleaded. The unicorn turned around and patted spike softly on the head. "Don't you worry. I will be" She finished, smiling.

With a mighty thud. The drop pod came to a sudden halt. The doors dropped and the 2 Gallentians stepped out.
"Atmosphere scan complete. Looks like most other terrestrial worlds. Air is safe to breath without head gear." Jay stated.
"In that case." Jack replied. "Im taking mine off." jack proceeded to remove the helmet and take a deep breath in. "AAaahhhh, I have not smelt a proper world in months. Not since my training finished."
Jay took off his helmet and smiled as he drew breath. "Maybe this won;t be so bad after all."
"See? I told you" Jack smirked. "You want driver or gunner?" he asked.
"Driver" her replied, climbing into the drivers seat of their LRV. "You take gunner"
Jack climbed onto the back of the jeep with a smile on his face and he cocked the weapon. "I thought you would never ask."

"Ok girls. This is it. We have some strange thing that dropped out of the sky somewhere into the Everfree forest. We have no idea what it is, but we need to assess that it is not a threat and see what we can learn. I saw where it landed and think it is in a large clearing near the old ruins." Twilight said. "We will simple go there, find out what it is and head home. Any questions?"
"Errm...well...yes, one but im not sure...err...do we have to go...?" Asked a timid pegasus.
"Yes, we do. Its important. Who knows what is out there? We must find out" Replied Twilight dutiful.
"Well...ok...as long as...-"
Her sentence was cut short by the panicked cries of ponies outside the library.
The 6 ponies rush outside to find a panicked Roseluck. "Roseluck, whats wrong?" Twilight inquired.
"Something is making a load noise from the Everfree forest and whatever it is, is heading this way" She said quietly.
Upon hearing this, the girls rushed through town and onto a near by hill over looking the front of the forest. At first they saw nothing but then something moved quickly through the brush. Heading straight towards the town. It broke through the tree line and stopped just in front of it. They stood their with inquisitive faces starting at this thing. It then started to slowly make it way towards them. The girls did the same. Only with rainbow hovering above them. They were within 10 meters of each other when she heard it shout. "Stop right there!" The 6 poines promptly stood in their tracks. Rainbow stopped but continued to hover. "Be you friend or foe?!" It demanded. "Friend!...I guess, are you here to hurts us?" Twilight inquired. "Only if you hurt us first!" It answered. "You may approach. We will not harm you, this I promise"
"Do you Pinkie Pie Promise?" Shouted the poofy pink pony.
"Err..yeah sure, whatever you call it" Replied the thing. The 6 ponies seemed satisfied with this and ventured closer to the thing. As they got closer they could see that it was some sort of Self-moving cart they were riding with 2 tall bipedal creatures on it. One of these creatures got off the 'cart' and stood in front of it. The other stayed where he was, but did not seem hostile. The creature in front of the 'cart' walked towards them with his front...paw? Out stretched. Twilight looked up and took the paw in a shake. "My name is Jay Broker. The guy behind me on the jeep is Jack Altair" Jack replied by giving them a wave. "Well, you seem nice enough but...what are you?" Asked a bright, white unicorn.
"We?" Jay replied with a smile. "We are humans. I come and offer peace on behalf of the Gallente Federation"
