Dark, stormy clouds loomed over Heaven, home of the angels. Most are submissive with their passive powers however, one remained disobedient with his cursed powers given to him before he died by the hands of the government. Before the whole curse invaded his body, the humans called him Luminous for his bright blue eyes. One day, a mysterious, black aura came in from seemingly nowhere and nearly consumed all of his humanity. In the nick of time, he managed to push the curse away but some remained inside his head, giving him time to control his newly found powers.
Over time, a government spy noticed his odd powers and reported him to officials. After days of spying, they caught him losing control of his light and darkness. They resent the spy out and... that was the end of his story. Years later of investigation, he learned that "spy" was actually an angel sent from the skies under the command of god. Almost immediately after, he began a scythe of the sturdiest materials money could buy. With months of crafting practice, he finally created the scythe of his dreams. It was almost as tall as him and had a black glow with white streak running through it. It could be used as a conduit for his powers.
When god gained awareness for his "activities", he sent the most elite guards after Luminous. Upon entering the temple, the elites caught up to him and surrounded him. Thanks to the scythe though, he defeated the guards in the blink of an eye and progressed through the temple. The interior was covered in a bright gold but with the intentions that brought him here, it gave off a very dark vibe. Pillars supported the room while doors were leading just about everywhere throughout the temple. After calmly walking through the eternally long hallways, Luminous stumbled across a door that was a vibrant, sparkling gold.
After admiring the door briefly, he put some extra power into his kick and busted down the door with ease. Inside was a giant, sitting on a throne with thunder cracking in the background. When the smoke cleared, a clearly irritated angel with a flaming red eye.
"Don't think I don't know what you've done. You've taken everything from me. Everything mattered most." Luminous stated through his destructive rage.
"No time for idle chit-chat? Shame. I was looking forward to getting to know you before you get obliterated." The giant calmly spoke.
"I will make you pay for everything you've done to me and my family." Luminous readied his scythe.
"Don't get so cocky boy, you never know what's gonna happen-"
"Shut the hell up! You were the one who got cocky, sending your pathetic guards after me! Did you think I wouldn't be able to handle them?" Luminous allowed a crimson red aura surround him.
"This magic... where did you get it?"
"Like I would tell you, old man!"
"Insolent child! You will know the wrath of all those who dare to provoke me!"
"Bring it on!"
The giant slammed his fists down, causing a minor earthquake. Thank to his wings, Luminous glided upwards avoiding the ground. Without a moments loss, the giant created dark, chained spears while Luminous was still hovering. With quick flicks of the wrist, Luminous blocked all the spears attempts to stab him. Shortly after, A large group of spears this surrounded him from all directions.
"Blinding Light!" A bright wall came from seemingly nowhere and destroyed all the spears surrounding him. Now it was his turn to attack. "Apocalypse!" A crack opened underneath the ground and created a dark funnel, dealing continuous hits to the victim caught in its wake. While the spell was busy, Luminous teleported around 5 location through the battlefield and left magical light spears surrounding the room. After the Apocalypse spell broke, the five locks activated and trapped the giant in a blue ball. A bright trail appeared above the spear a made a big circle around the bubble.
After studying the ball that trapped him, the giant stuck his hand through a weak point in the shield, causing it to crack around the area of impact.
"He can't be..." Luminous crouched on the ground and a dark ball formed around his hand. After the spell was complete he charged the giant. "You're coming with me you bastard!" He landed a heavy impact on the giant, causing him to lose his balance and stop the attempted breaking of the bubble. A blue light consumed both Luminous and the giant, causing them both to disintegrate from existence.

Days later...
"Spike! I need those books!" A feint voice came from the second floor of the library.
"Just a second, Twilight!" A tiny green lizard replied while trying his best to grab the book on the highest shelf. Just as he had managed to grab the book, a huge boom came from the exterior of the library, causing both to flinch.
"Did you hear that spike?"
"It was probably just one of Rainbow Dash's Sonic Rainbooms."
"Her rainbooms sound different than that! Gather the girls, Were gonna go investigate the source of the noise."
"Yes mam!" Spike grabbed a quill and began writing a short, but descriptive letter. After he was finished writing the same thing 5 times, he channel his flame breath in order to reach the Elements of Harmony instead of the princess.
"Elements, check. Books, check. Paper, check. Quill, check" Twilight continued mumbling on about her checklist while the other girls were making their way to the tree house in the center of town. Once the Elements of Harmony were gathered, Twilight put her items in the saddlebags she wore on her back. Applejack was first to arrive. Next was Rainbow Dash, then Fluttershy, next was Pinkie Pie, and who could forget the fashionably late Rarity.
"Oh good, you girls are here. We have no time to lose!" Without giving the rest of the group a chance to reply Twilight was already out the door. The gang trotted fast in order to catch up.
"I'm just gonna assume that the only reason you want to go there is because of science." Rainbow asked, irritated already
"Well duh! Think of all the possibilities!"
Rainbow Dash facehoofed. "Of course."
The 6 ponies stopped at the entrance to the everfree. "Well, here we go!" They all traveled into the dangerous Everfree Forest.
Off in the far distance, a large crater with a bipedal figure burned in the center of the Everfree. "That's the last time I try gunning it." Luminous said as he rubbed his head. Slowly, he stood back on two feet while using a nearby tree for balance. After a long minute, the world around him began to clear and now it was possible to see the surrounding environment.
"The hell? Why am I in freaking forest? I'm pretty sure I was in Heaven til' just a minute ago." The final moments of the fight flashed inside his head. "Oh yeah. Let's hope he didn't get here too." Luminous slowly regained his balance. "Suppose I should find some civilization."
He noticed that the crater was rather deep then he had anticipated and had to climb out. After finally managing to climb the wall, his legs finally woke themselves up. Shortly after, a feint crunching sound could be heard in the ever expanding forest. He prepared his weapon, ready to strike at any given moment. What stepped out of the bush came as a great shock to him. A majestic, white pony had emerged.
The white figured stared at him for a moment until finally speaking. "Do you understand us?"
"What? No hi or greetings?" Luminous questioned.
"Forgive me for my rudeness, but I simply needed to know if you spoke our language. After all, it would make talking quite easier."
"I agree, but you didn't come here for idle chit-chat have you?"
The figures expression turned serious. "No. I haven't. I came to issue a warning. For one, my ponies will be here in just a moment and likely attack you on sight. They've never been to kind to visitors and I think they will be a little extra rough with me around here."
"Go figure. Everybody would probably go jump off a cliff if the ruler asked them too."
The princess giggled. "Don't worry I wouldn't do something as cruel as that. Oh goodness, where are my formalities? My name is Princess Celestia."
"So you are the ruler." Luminous finally lowered his scythe.
"Yes. What is your name?" Celestia smiled
He hesitated for a moment. "...Luminous."
"Well, Luminous. I suggest you might start running."
"What? You're just gonna let them pulverize me?" Luminous smiled
"Despite my status I can't control what they do whenever something unknown is next to me or Luna."
"I see. Well, I guess I will take your advice." Luminous tried to open his wings but they were stuck to his back. "What the?" He tried forcing his wings out. but to no avail.
Celestia looked at him with a confused glare. "What's wrong?"
"Can't get my wings to open, that's what's wrong!"
"Well, Sorry to say but I can't use my magic to pull your wings out. It would get too painful too fast."
Luminous sighed. "Well thankfully, I practiced parkour when I was alive."
"Princess!" A large group of ponies shouted while jumping out of a bush.
"Well, i'll take this as my ticket out of here."
"Meet me in Canterlot later. We have things to talk about." Celestia pointed to a large city on a mountain with a... hoof? She soon teleported away from the forest.
"Fine."
"Princess, get back to Canterlot, We'll take care of this... thing!"
"Oh come on, can't we talk about this?" Luminous said, sarcastically. The lavender unicorn fired a bolt at him. "Guess not."
The orange tossed a lasso at him, which Luminous countered by throwing his scythe in the middle of it. "Ha! got yer' tool!" Suddenly, she felt her lasso get lighter. "What in tarnation?"
The orange cowpony looked back at the owner of the scythe. Black molecules began forming just above his hand. "Is that the best you got?" Luminous began spinning the weapon on a single finger. "Yeah, the princess told me to run and all, but I don't want to." Luminous readied his scythe into a battle stance. "I'm gonna fight."
Luminous teleported left and right, posing in a different position each time. "Hold still!" Twilight shouted while firing multiple magical bolts.
"I. Don't. Want. To" Luminous said in between teleports.
"Ah've had enough of this." Timing her toss, Applejack sent the rope flying, hopefully catching his weapon. There was a sudden tug at the end of the rope. She yanked the rope backwards and sent the scythe flying towards her. Luminous slowly looked at his hand and found nothing there. The giant metal weapon landed on the ground with a muffled "thump".
"You really think simply taking my scythe away deems me powerless? Just because I lose my weapon doesn't mean I can't still fight. Still..." Tiny black molecules began forming around his hand and the original scythe began losing form. "I can just take back what's mine. Anyways, I'm getting bored. Who wants to grab a cup of tea and talk this over?"
The marshmallow of the group calmly moved forward. "Well, I suppose we can instead of resorting violent means." She glared at her friend. "Come to my boutique and we shall talk this over like proper ponies."
"About time." Luminous stretched his arms and arched his back. "I was getting tired of teleporting."
A sudden though popped up in the mind of Twilight. "How are you able to teleport that much?" Even with high magical potential it would tire any pony out eventually."
"I'm a mage. It's like a unicorn," He pointed to Twilight's horn. "But better."
"Now that I think about it, you girls have been awfully quiet." Rarity looked behind her. "Is there something you would like to say?"
Without giving anypony a chance, A pegasus with a rainbow colored mane flew right into his face. "How do we know you aren't a spy?"
"Calm down, Rainbow. He ain't ah spy." The orange cowpony looked at him."But he sure isn't from 'round these parts."
"Gee, really?" Luminous replied sarcastically.
"Fluttershy, do you have anything to say?" Rarity said, ignoring his sarcastic remark.
"Well, i was just if..." Fluttershy's voice
"What was that dear, we couldn't quite hear you."
"If he eats meat." She barely managed to say.
"Uh, yeah?" A look of horror took the neutral expressions of the ponies. Luminous looked at the crowd and facepalmed. "I'm fucking sick of this. Do any of you have a dog?"
"Ah do..." the orange cowpony said, still terrified.
"Have you ever bothered to look at your dog's teeth?"
"No..." She replied.
"Then let me do the honors in saying that he or she has canines just like these." He opened his mouth and revealed his canines.
Marshmallow cleared her throat, bringing everypony back to reality."Now let's get going to-" She was cut off a by a quick, pink blur.
"A new pony! Hi my name is Pinkie Pie, what's yours? I love to throw parties for everypony!" Pinkie gasped, while somehow defying the laws of physics. "I haven't thrown you a party yet! I haven't even introduced you to-" A sudden magic bubble formed around her mouth.
"I needed a break from that."
"Yes, Pinkie can be quite talkative." The marshmallow giggled. "Come to think of it, We never introduced ourselves. I'm Rarity. The one who fired magic at you was Twilight." She pointed to her with a hoof. "This here is Applejack. Rainbow Dash was the one who just charged you out of nowhere, The one you silenced is Pinkie. As you can probably see, the one hiding behind my legs is fluttershy. Now, since everything is all cleared, let's just go to the Boutique."
"Right." Luminous removed the magic barrier around Pinkie, preparing for the metaphorical bomb about to be dropped straight on top of his head.
The magic around Pinkie's mouth began to slowly fade into oblivion, making it easier to talk for her. Once the magic faded, Pinkie took a deep breath. "Hey! Why did you do that it was incredibly rude and uncalled for!"
"Look, can you please just be quiet for a few minutes? I have a headache and really don't want to deal with you right now."
Pinkie had a slightly surprised look on her face. "Why are you such a meanie pants?!"
"Because you wouldn't understand the hell I went through before I came here!" Luminous shot back.
Pinkie had finally quieted down, much to the internal joy of Luminous. After putting with the antics of these... things, Luminous pulled out an MP3 which he teleported from somewhere. Thankfully it was at full power, meaning he didn't have to listen to these equines for a while. One song that seemed catch his attention the most was this song in all caps called DYE He pushed the play button and the music began to quietly play out of the built in speakers.
The 6 equines beside him stared at the device in astonishment.
"What is this thing?"
Twilight used her telekinesis and pulled the device away from Luminous to study. Suddenly, a black aura grabbed the device from her and slowly placed itself back into Luminous's grip.
"Don't you know it's rude to steal things from people?" He asked in an irritated tone.
"Hypocrite..." Twilight mumbled.
Just as the aura died, the music suddenly blasted out of the speakers at max volume. "It's in Japanese? How interesting."
Suddenly, he felt something nudge his should. He looked to his left and saw Rainbow Dash hovering. "You got any other tunes in there? The music here in Equestria is pretty boring."
"Oh? What kind of music?" Luminous asked.
"The fancy stuff." Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes while Luminous gagged.
"Classical blows. Let's see what else we got on here." Luminous began scrolling through the songs and found Eifel 65. Before he could hit play, a town suddenly came into view. "Oh well, Maybe later." Luminous shoved the mp3 back inside his pocket while Twilight stared.
"Uh, can I help you?"
"Can I study that thing you had?" Twilight politely asked.
"Blunt, aren't you? Knock yourself out kid." He pulled the mp3 out from his pocket and tossed it into the air just to have Twilight catch it with her magic. The town suddenly came into view and it looked as if it the whole place was made of wood and hay. What's worse, is that it was all ponies. The 7 figures stood at the very entrance of the Everfree, examining the town. Every...thing was a pony. a freaking pony. This was like a 5 year old's fantasy land and Luminous treated it like one. He laughed at the sight.
"What's so funny?" Questioned Rainbow.
"The fact the whole freaking town's population is ponies!" Luminous laughed a little harder.
The other 6 groaned and began walking towards town. By the time Luminous's laughter died down, he flew over towards the rest of the group and slowly began moving towards town. The 7 eventually reached town and found themselves in the middle of the market on the busiest of days. The moment they stepped outside, they were all greeted by stares, Fear being the dominant emotion.
They all continued staring until one finally started talking. "What the buck is that thing?" A random stallion questioned.
Twilight cleared her throat. "As you see here,we have found alien life!" She proclaimed gleefully. "I assure you, he means no harm!"
A pony scoffed at this statement. "That thing means no harm? How can we be so sure?" The crowd murmured in agreement.
Just then, A group of royal guards flew straight down into ponyville, somehow missing the human. "Is everypony here alright? Celestia sensed a magical disturbance somewhere around here!"
"Try looking behind you!" A stallion in the crowd shouted.
They both slowly turned around and saw the human, sitting in front of the crowd. "Stop right there, criminal scum!"
"Seriously? Ponies are already declaring me a criminal? Talk about judging a book by it's cover. Also, why do I feel like that's from something..." Luminous pondered as he used his wings and stood on two feet again.
"Do not move, and we shall not harm you!" The left guard shouted.
Luminous stretched his arms out and brought them over his head while arching his back "I could say the same to you."
Just then, a larger group suddenly appeared, surrounding him. "Come on, you don't have to do this. My image here is bad, and I don't want to make it worse."
They guards pointed their spears straight at him. "So be it." Luminous focused his magic energy into his hand and Twilight could sense it.
"Wait, Luminous!" Twilight interrupted them. "Please don't do this! Just go to Celestia and-"
Luminous inhaled sharply. "Yeah, don't want to do that. Also don't want to deal with these guys either." He began channeling his energy into his hand again. A small black flame appeared just floating above his right hand. "So what i'm trying to say is," He tossed the black flame right in front of the guards. "Fuck off."
Luminous quietly teleported himself onto a bed and took comfort in the fact he was away from nearby any ponies. He sighed and rolled to the left, only to be greeted by a wall. Somehow, the wall was quite comforting. After being beaten in battle by a god, attack some ponies wearing armor, it felt nice to have a little bit of peace at the end of an irritatingly long day such as this one. He unconsciously begin to drift off into a slumber, when the creaking of a wooden door opened.
"Well, I suppose we could figure this out tomorrow." Said Rarity.
"Yes. We need to figure out if he's a threat or not. For all we know he could destroy ponyville!"
Luminous suddenly had an idea and channeled his voice into an echo and laughed with the echo active. "Pony, please. You couldn't stop this if it was the last thing you do!" He quickly switched off the echo and laughed inside the room he was in.
"Where are you?" Twilight said in a half shout, half questioning tone.
Luminous switched it back on. "In the most obvious-ok, you know what? This is lame. I'm inside your room." He yawned with echo still active.
Twilight charged up her stairs and found Luminous lying down on her bed with Celestia's warm sun as an alternative to a blanket. She took in the image before her and started asking questions. "Why did you run from the guards?"
"Come on. No "Hi there!" or, "What are you doing here?" I expected more from you." Luminous smirked.
"That doesn't matter. You could get in trouble with the authorities if you keep running from them." Twilight hastily informed.
"Haven't you ever noticed," He quickly placed his arms above him and began pointing at invisible dots. "I don't give a fuck!" He said, while pretending to shove something aside at the last word and calmly laid back down on the bed.
"There's no need for the vulgar words in here now-" Rarity suddenly felt herself being lifted off the floor and being placed back down in the living room. "How rude."
"Tell me about it." Twilight landed right next to her with an unamused face. "Well, I'll talk to him. You can go back to the boutique if you want."
"I shall. I want nothing to do with this ruffian at the moment!" She quickly turned and opened the door to allow passage, only to be nearly slammed shut.
"Luminous, can you come down here? I want to talk!" She shouted only to be greeted with a feint snoring sound. With a huff, Twilight grabbed a quill and began writing down a letter. The letter was briefly and sloppily written and it looked like it was a hastily prepared note like a kidnapping victim sending a letter for help. Suddenly, a loud "bump" could be heard from the roof. Suddenly it began making quiet, but more frequent "bumps"
"Huh. Probably just some foals throwing rocks. Better reinforce the windows." With a small glow, the windows were sustained in a barrier, making harder to crack and/or break. After the bumps stopped, a small window creaked open and a figure slowly flew in, holding a knife in its hoof. Slowly, it came closer to the bed and raised the knife. It quickly swung downwards leaving a feint "whoosh" sound as it descended
The knife was suddenly met with another piece of metal and resulted in a loud "clang". Luminous's scythe blocked the attacker's assassination attempt and resulted in a standoff between the two. "You sure you want to do that buddy? Looks like you bit off more than you could chew." The attacker increased his strength, resulting in a metallic rubbing sound as Luminous held his spot. Suddenly, his eyes glowed a bright blue and the assailant flew backwards into the wall.
Suddenly, Twilight came rushing in. "Luminous are you-" She gasped at the sight. Luminous was retracting his scythe while there was a royal guard unconscious, leaning against the wall with a small dagger next to him. "What did you do?!" Twilight shouted to Luminous.
"So, let me get this straight. You hate me so much, you would rather have me get killed then compared to knocking this guy out for a few minutes." He glared at Twilight with an expression that said, "Are you fucking kidding me?".
"I-i didn't-"
"Save it, Twilight. Let's tie this guy up and be done with it." He said in an obviously irritated tone.
Quickly a rope and a chair from downstairs floated upwards in a blue aura. The magic picked up the guard and placed him in the chair and tied him down with a nearby rope. The guard quickly came to, with a slight hissing noise.
"Hissing? It can't be... Is there another changeling attack being planned?!"
"Calm down. Let this thing speak." He said while the half conscious changeling began waking up.
The assailant slowly regained focus, finding something bipedal and lavender standing in front of him.
"Wake up." The bipedal one commanded. There was no response. "I said, wake up." He put the scythe to his neck, the cold, metallic feeling jolting the changeling awake.
Once it's vision cleared, it saw the target of the assassination attempt. "You..."
"That's right. It's me you little shit." Obvious rage tinting Luminous's voice.
Twilight recoiled a little at his sudden use of foul language.
"I admit. You did a good job hiding from us this long human." The changeling said, venom coating the word human.
"Why do you want to kill me?" Luminous bluntly said.
"Oh? Did I make it that apparent?" The changeling grinned smugly.
Luminous slowly felt even more rage beginning to overcome him. "Why do you want to kill me?"
"Like i'd tell an outsider."
"Am I really going to have to do this?"
"You won't get any-AHHHHH! Mother of Chrysalis, it hurts! It hurts!" It began flailing it's arms and fore leg back and forth, somehow hoping to get rid of the pain. Looking down, the Changeling saw it's green blood spewing from it's leg, while the leg itself was lying on the ground. It looked back up and saw the bipedal, holding a weapon over it's shoulder, covered in dripping, green blood.
"Well, I'm surprised any neighbors haven't come to knock and say hi."
Twilight stared in absolute horror. The lengths he would go to in order for some information was unbearable. He cut off it's for Celestia's sake! "Luminous! Why would you do that?!" She screamed in absolute horror and shock as to what Luminous had just done.
"It's called interrogation. It's a method humans use to get info out of terrorists and or criminals." He glanced back to the changeling, who was gritting its teeth hoping the pain would soon disappear. "Though, they only go to this length back in the old days."
"Just because you want info out of them doesn't mean you have to cut off their limbs!"
Suddenly, the door to the library burst open and Applejack suddenly busted inside the library. "Twi! are you..." Her sentence faded off as she took in the image before her. A changeling, strapped to a chair with a limb missing with Luminous being the apparent victim as there was blood on the scythe he was holding.
"What in tarnation did ya go doin' that for?!" She said in a half shout, half question.
His glare somehow managed to turn even darker than before. "I should have figured. It's always friends and or enemies first, then it's whatever else. Do you do this to all foreign visitors to or just me?"
"What are ya-" Applejack stopped when she felt a hoof stop her from moving forward.
"He's right Applejack. We're sorry we never listened to your part of the story. Please go on. We're listening."
Luminous's glare lifted and was replaced by a slight smile. "Thank you Twilight. What happened before was-"
Suddenly, something dark green slowly wrapped around the changeling's chest, revealing something strapped and ticking quickly.
