Chapter 2: Complications
With The Princess and Angelica, I decided to bring out the bourbon and my glass again. I opened up my freezer and took out the ice cube tray; I took out 3 ice cubes and put the ice cube tray back in the freezer. I filled my glass half full and swished the concoction around, as I heard the sweet music of the ice cubes jingle in the glass. I took a sip and recoiled a bit at the horrible after taste of the drink. Most people say that the worst thing about alcohol is the after taste but I find that the taste is just there to remind you how strong the concoction is and why you are drinking it. The reason I drank was to wash away my memories of bad times and to fall asleep peacefully. It’s not the dreams I worry about since I have none it’s more of the insomnia I have in my day to day life.
It’s 2 glasses later; I go to the living room and see Angelica sleeping on the couch. Her blanket has fallen off her so I put it back over her body and head off to my room, I fall asleep almost instantly. When I wake up I hear two distinctive female voices talking. One is Celestia’s and the other one I’m not sure who it is but it has a kind of preachy tone to it like it was born to lead people and ponies alike. I decided to eavesdrop on they’re conversation.
“Do you think that they will hurt us Princess?” she said with a tone of worry.
“I don’t know my faithful student but whatever you do, don’t try to attack it or resist I have a feeling that this species is more dangerous than it looks.”
“I will trust you judgement Princess and hopefully I’ll have enough energy to warp us back very soon.”
“Exactly how soon will that be my student?”
“I should have just enough power to send us back in two months tops.”
“Hold that thought Twilight.” She paused for a second. “James you can come out now.” I step into the room.
“How did you know I was eavesdropping?” she looked upon me with a frown.
“Well your shoes and floor aren’t exactly the stealthiest combination.” She giggled and put on a warm smile. “Also I have better hearing than most ponies so to me you were as loud as a dragon. But luckily my student didn’t hear you or I would think if she did she would probably write this off as treachery or worse. Isn’t that right Twilight?” Twilight smiled sheepishly at me. “Now please excuse yourself and take Angelica with you, outside please.” I ran to the living room and woke up Angelica.
“James what is it?” she said clearly still trying to shake the cobwebs out of her head.
“Angelica, Celestia has order us to stay outside while they talk about private matters.”
“Why?”
“That is none of our business, unless you want to talk to the freaky Alicorn and she forces us to do it.” She got up and we walked outside.
This next scene is taken from Celestia’s perspective:
It seems that Twilight was more worried about this than I expected but that is her nature is it not, I still remember when she was my little silly filly student always riding on my back and sitting on the throne, always questioning me and even though she is much more mature than she was then. I miss those days, they were such happy times.
“Princess, are you even listening to me?”
I threw her a gentle grin “Sorry Twilight I was just thinking of better times. But enough of this worrying we will find Luna soon enough.” Ah yes the one thing that I didn’t want James to know. Luna is out here with me as well and if I sense correctly she is not exhausted one bit. “Twilight I think I have enough power to send her our location as a beacon in her mind, so do not disturb me until I open up my eyes.”
“As you wish Princess.” I close my eyes and find my sister’s brainwave pattern. This is easy since me and her brainwave patterns are exact copies of mine so I contact her telepathically. ‘Ah, Luna my sister how are you doing today?’
‘Fine Celest, where are you?’
‘I have got a native to accommodate us with room and board, he wasn’t that will though.’
‘I have got room and board as well, but this native knows more about me than he is letting on.’
‘How so?’
‘He seemed too eager to help me and he was not upset with my appearance. Today I plan to interrogate him in his dreams or just see what he’s thinking about.’
‘Well be careful you may see some disturbing stuff in his mind.’
‘Why do you say this sister?’
“Have you ever been in a stallion’s mind?’
‘No not really... Oh I see what you’re getting at; I never knew you had a sense of humour big sis since it always seems you have a stick up your flank.’
‘Well I will give you our location and when you’re done can you please bring the male with you?’
‘Okay I have received your location and will come as soon as I’m done. See you later sister!’
‘See you later as well.’ I broke off the connection and relaxed a bit.
“Princess, is Luna safe?”
“She is as safe as we are Twilight; she too has got room and board given to her by a native.”
“Princess I seem to be sensing Ponies in our area, are you sure we can trust the native.”
“Don’t worry my student I will question the native about this, if it will make you feel better.”
“Thank you Celestia. Let’s go fetch the natives now, so they don’t grow suspicious.”
“Twilight I think that our private time is already making them suspicious.”
This scene goes back to James
“I don’t like this.” Said Angelica it seems that she is the one most phased by the situation, well why shouldn’t she be? There is an alicorn and unicorn in my house who wanted some private time to talk. Princess Celestia opened the door.
“It’s safe to come in everypony we are done talking, oh and James I have a question for you.”
“Yeah, what is it?”
“Are there Ponies in your world, more direct ponies like us?”
“Well we do have ponies but they are not intelligent.”
“What do you mean by ‘not intelligent’?”
“I mean they can’t speak or do half the things you can do.”
“Ah I see thank you James, my student thought you were keeping us in the dark about stuff”
“I feel the same way she does about the situation except I have more of a reason to think that way, so tell me Celestia am I going to get an more visitors or is something else going to happen?”
“Nothing else is going to happen James.”
“We both know that you are lying Celestia so let’s just cut the bullshit and tell me whose coming.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I saw the smile I saw all through grade school, it was the he’s stupid and will never figure out what’s really going on smile.
“You know I’ve seen that smile and grown to know what it means, listen as long as you’re on our planet you follow our rule and the rule is there is no lying to us. Now tell the truth or I’m going to hurt you and trust me I don’t want to do that.” I put my hand on gun in its holster; I have been carrying my revolver ever since they had that private conversation.
“YOU SHALL DO NONE OF THAT!” This voice was as loud as fuck and I looked up at the sky and saw another Alicorn hovering over me. It had a human on its back and it’s horn was pointed at me. I laugh a fake hardy laugh.
“You think you can destroy me with your horn, are you a fucking idiot!”
“I don’t aim to kill you just incapacitate you from doing any harm.” With that, a light hit me and I couldn’t move anything except my head. I turned my head toward Celestia.
“I SHOULD HAVE LEFT YOU AND YOU’RE FUCKING STUDENT BACK WITH MY DOGS! YOUR LIKE EVER GIRL I’VE MET IN THIS WORLD JUST A BACK. STABBING. BITCH!”
With that the black Alicorn knocked me out. I awoke in a daze, no hearing, and a splitting head ache. Not knowing what happened after the black bitch hit me I looked around and saw that I was duct taped to a chair and it seemed the Celestia and the other Alicorn were arguing about something, that’s when Angelica came in sneaking with a shotgun it seems she went back to her house to pick out a gun from her massive gun collection. That’s when my hearing came back with full force and I saw Twilight beside me casting some kind of healing spell.
“Every person that’s not human stand down or I will shoot the purple one!” Princess Celestia and the other Alicorn looked at Angelica as she pointed the shotgun at Twilight.
The Black Alicorn spoke up “Goddess sakes! I’ve had enough of this!” she put a paralyzing spell on Angelica and her gun clanged on the floor. Celestia levitated Angelica to another chair and duct taped her to it. I thrashed my head and pulled my arms and legs but to no avail could I get free.
“But listen Luna they have done nothing wrong, I am the one at fault here, I have betrayed them by not tell them the whole story, where this could have been a time of rejoicing and friendship. I instead turned it into a time of hatred and lies; I am truly ashamed of myself.” I saw her hang her head in shame. I felt a knife cut the duct tape off of my arms “So with my sincere apologies will you accept my hoof in friendship” I put out my hand to meet her hoof.
“I accept your apology and friendship the only thing I ask is that you don’t do it again.”
“I will accept your terms James and I will no longer talk behind your back.” She looked at both Twilight and Luna “Isn’t that right Twilight.” Twilight nodded and Luna stepped forward
“I don’t think his partner will be as willing to forgive as he was.” Everyone looked at Angelica and she just shot them an angry, I coughed and spoke up.
“Well Angelica it’s your choice you can either forgive them or we will leave you duct taped to the chair for a month or two. Neither are very good choices and you don’t like both of them, so I am going to take the tape off your mouth so you can say yes or no.” I ripped the duct tape off fast.
“Ow! Fuck, be gentle for god sake!” She looked up in thought “I’ve decided and I say no.”
“Fine, remember this day Angelica as this was the day you could have changed things for the better.” I put the duct tape back over her mouth. I turned to Celestia. “Do you have any other information you would like to tell me”
“Well it seems while you were out we found out we do exist in your world, but it seems in a more gross and kind way.”
“What do you mean ‘Gross and Kind’?”
“Well it seems we have our own show based on our world called My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I’m afraid that this will lead to complications later on. It seems that someone from your world is able to enter ours, also it seems that there are explicit images of us on this ‘internet’ as well.” She looked at Twilight. “This is our next mission we will find this Lauren Faust and question her on how she knows about us.”
A/N Yes it is done! I was up till 3 am last night finishing this chapter and hopefully chapter 3 will be as interesting as this one, I really like this book because it really hasn’t been a subject that has been touched by anypony and if I’m wrong then I’m sorry okay. The reason I like this so much is because the atmosphere in this book is so tense and you can really feel that it’s like they’re walking on eggshells all the time. I honest think this maybe my best book because I can really get into it. We’ll see ya in two days and if you have a suggestion of a pre- reader please tell me since I have none or you can put yourself in the loop and maybe you can have your own lines in the story ;) Hope you enjoyed this I am really just getting started.))
