"They say when two ailcorns are born at one time, that the world changes. But who wants to believe that?" Princess Luna read the book further. It was a legend that had been passed down from royals and higher beings before her. "One day there will be one born of a white coat and pink mane. Then there will be one born of a dark coat with dark mane." She mumbled the rest of the passages to herself, already knowing of these prophecies. "The next set will be born only a year apart.." She gasped. "Tia and I are only a few years... Five at the max..." She whispered.
"What are you doing dear sister?" Luna quickly turned to see her older sister walking in the darkened room. "You're going to ruin your eyes with how dark it is in here." Celestia had lit a few candles and looked at her sister sitting near a bookshelf.
"This book that mother and father had left us. It tells of all the alicorns that will be born. Just what they look like though..." She said while flipping through the book further.
"That book tells of what has already happened." Celestia took the book away from her and shut it. "You're going to scare yourself." She said while placing it on the shelf next to Luna.
"It said that there are going to be two born within a year of each other soon..." Luna frowned. "Will our world be able to handle that?" She pouted.
"We will try and prepare... But only if the signs are there. I will not fill my subjects will lies of an old pony who wrote this fairytale." She said while walking out. Luna watched as her sister left the royal library. She glanced out the window and ended up sitting near the window watching the Everfree Forest.
"Any loyal subjects she has won't be there any longer...." Luna mumbled. "One day I will be ruler and be able to prepare my subjects the way I want to..."
