//------------------------------// // Chapter 3 // Story: Equestria: the Land of Acceptance // by Tracelander //------------------------------// As Luna and I walked out of the room, Luna asked "Why me?" I looked at her solemnly "Because Celestia could never understand. You do. You have been insecure. You have been misunderstood. You have been ignored. And so have I. My life was filled with sadness of the hurt of those who don't care and also of the deaths of those who did. You understand." Luna stared at me with her lips parted slightly in disbelief. She quickly moved down the hall and I had to trot to keep up with her. When we got to a door with a golden plate upon the front. It had Starflower etched into the gold. "This door leads to your rooms. Usually we shall eat with my sister and subjects but tonight we shall dine peacefully without fear of ridicule." Luna opened the door using her magic while I followed her into the rooms I was astounded by the enormity of the space and while I'd been in large bedrooms before this was by far the largest. Looking back Luna smiled, then jumped because of the loud voice coming from nowhere. "Well, well, annoyed who would have thunk it! Moon-butt and Star-weighs-a-ton.... Both in the same room!" "Discord!" I shouted my astonished face turning intoa annoyed one. "I will not be forgetting how you just uped and left me having to explain why there just appeared a random Alicorn in Equestria! Luna laughed saying "You tell him Starflower!" Discord teleported himself in front of me smiling "I think you did fine on your own though you trembled a bit too much. And my dear how would you know how much you weigh? I am, after all, the one to transported you to Equestria!" I stepped around him focusing more on the fact of how cool it was to hear my hooves on the smooth cobblestone floor then on the fact that I didn't know how much I weighed in Equestrian terms. Discord smiled knowing he had ruffled a feather or two. "Come on in! I've been keeping supper warm on the table here." There was indeed a table with couches around it in the middle of the room. Straight back in the room there was a large canopy bed with a nightstand beside it. Other than that it was quite empty. Walking to the table I sat cautiously wondering if Discord had boobytraped the couch. Thankfully he hadn't. Luna came and sat across from me while Discord sat to my right. She instantly took a plate and started filling it up then paused as I just stared hungrily at the salads and fish trays and the pastrys and the fresh fruits some I recognized and others I didn't. Luna sat aside her own plate wisely thinking of the fact that I had no idea how to use my magic. She levitated a spoon in front of me saying "Think of holding this spoon as maybe you normally would but using magic. It might help if you close your eyes" Closing my eyes I inhaled focusing on the spoon thinking back on how I would wrap my fingers around a spoon at home then changed that into the odd feeling that I had felt inside my head at the base of my horn earlier that day. "Well done," came the quiet voice of Luna, cutting into my thoughts. I opened my eyes to see the spoon and the middle of it encased in a purplish blue aura. I then applied this new knowledge to balancing a plate and putting food on it. I then took the spoon and moaned in pleasure as the taste of a cherry tart dissapated upon my tongue. Hearing laughter I opened my closed eyes that had been enjoying the taste of the tart I stared at Luna and Discord laughing. I glared at them indignantly saying "It's not funny!" Discord wiped tears from his eyes and magicly teleporting a screen he showed me eating the tart. Bursting out in fresh peals of laughter Luna and Discord were such a sight I started laughing too. After we finished out laughter we finished out dinner together. Discord said "I shall see you in the morning for breakfast." He left leaving me to Luna. Luna looked at me saying" I shall teach you all there is to know of being a princess of the night.
