Chapter 1: First Contact

The creature says something to me but I don't know what language its using. "Please help us!" I ask it, hoping it understood me.

It just tilts its head and then looks around. I notice its gaze lingering on the quadruped that's still nuzzling Fluttershy who seems to have calmed down now that she's met a new animal.

"Hello, what's your name?" Fluttershy asks it. The 'dog' for no better term barks at her while wagging its stumpy tail. "Oh... my, I can't understand him. I've never been unable to talk to an animal before," she says with a bit of sadness. The dog whines a little and just licks her face.

The biped just stares at the display with its head tilted to its left. I shake my head and get my thoughts together, with this creature's help we can get to the Elements and stop Chrysalis! But my train of thought is interrupted when the side of the castle has a hole blown out of it with Princess Luna falling to the ground.

"LUNA!"

A large dark blue Equine falls to the ground from the hole that now sits in the side of the building, the Equines all rush off to it and I follow after them.

We arrive to see it, I'm guessing it's a female as well as the others with how pampered their hairs are, to see she's badly injured. Her fur is covered in blood and cuts, she's barely breathing.

I pull out one of the few Nanite Healing Canisters designed to repair the biological parts of the Warframe as well as other people I have and kneel beside her, I don't know if this will work on them but it's better than letting her die, so with that I pop the cap off and inject her with the serum. She starts twitching as the Nanites start to close her cuts, repairing broken bones and stop any internal bleeding.

Her eyes open and she looks slightly dizzy.

'Oh... My head feels like its been used as a dance floor for one of Miss. Pinkie's parties.' I slowly open my eyes to see a large black and red creature looming over me with some sort of syringe in its hand.

I quickly react and fire a blast of magic at it and send it flying a good ten metres or so, doing that just aggravates my headache more though.

"PRINCESS! STOP! Its friendly! It saved us from a swarm of changelings!" Twilight tells me fearfully as if expecting some kind of retaliation from the creature.

I look at her with a confused expression then back to the creature, who somehow stands back up like nothing happened, not even a scratch is on it.

It sounds like its grunting in annoyance. "I think it just saved you as well, it injected you with something and all your wounds just closed," she tells me with a look of awe.

I slowly get back onto my hooves, I feel no pain, well a slight soreness like bruises but it's like I was never beaten and thrown out of a window at all.

"We thank thee for aiding us and we apologise for our actions just now," I say with a bow of my head. It just tilts its head slightly but eventually nodded in return.

"I'm sorry, Princess, but it seems like it can't understand us," Twilight informs me.

Before anything else is said, ten Changelings fly out of the hole and dive bomb at us. I try to fire off some mana bolts but my magic is drained from the battle with Chrysalis and my headache is making it hard to concentrate. I hear three loud bangs and turn to see the creature holding some sort of tool or weapon and pointing it above us.

I look back up as another seven bangs go off and each Changeling's head blows off in a spray of gore. Such accuracy and precision, it hit them all dead centre at the base of their horns, it sidesteps as the bodies slam into the floor around it.

It just killed them without hesitation, just what in Tartarus is it?

I reload my Lex with a fresh magazine and keep my sight on the hole, I see a large insect with green hair and tail appear looking down at us, it also has insectoid wings and a jagged horn.

I increase the zoom of my vision and I see its expression, its very angry. It leaps out of the hole and its horn glows a bright green, it then disappears in a flash of green light. My minimap picks up something behind me so I turn around and point my pistol at the big bug, Nightshade turns and growls at the insect as well.

I set my sentinel to guard mode, in case it attacks me. It laughs with a distorted tone and then starts neighing along with other noises but again I don't understand them. The others behind me all go on the defensive, this can only mean that this is the leader of the invaders.

"I'm giving you only one chance to leave peacefully, or I'll be forced to give you another breathing hole," I threaten it in a cold tone.

Chrysalis is just mocking the creature, but it just stands there unmoving. It spoke something in a cold dark tone that sent a shiver up my spine, but Chrysalis just laughs at it. "This is your last defence? A strange monster that can't even talk?" she giggles maliciously. "My my, you are getting desperate."

Her horn glows and so does the bipeds head but nothing happens, Chrysalis frowns and tries again with the same result... nothing.

She growls. "What's going on? Why can't I sense your emotions!" she says angrily. The dog growls back at her with more malicious intent and baring its sharp teeth.

Chrysalis fires a large bolt of green magic at the creature but he just stood there and took the blast with a slight recoil of its left shoulder.

The biped instantly lunges forward and with its left hand, punches the Queen on her right cheek. She's sent tumbling a few metres before she recovers, Chrysalis stares back with a shocked and stunned expression as green blood dribbles down her chin... That blast the creature took was strong enough to knock even Princess Celestia out!

The Queen then snarls and hisses at the biped, but again its undaunted. I can only imagine what it must have been through to be this fearless.

Well I can safely say it wont go peacefully, force it is then. I aim at her head and fire two shots off as my Sentinel peppers it, the large insect reacts and surrounds itself with a green barrier or shield. The shots bounce off but leave large cracks where they hit, I fire three more shots at the same spot which shatters its defence.

The third shot just grazes its shoulder as it barely dodges, a sizzling sound is heard as the corrosive compound of the bullet erodes her chitinous like skin. My Sentinel starts clicking as it runs out of ammo.

The insect hisses in pain then takes to the air and lets out a horrid Shriek, a swarm of over a hundred smaller insects surrounds me with ill intent. The large bug is grinning down at me, if it could see my real face, it would see I'm grinning as well.

I channel my energy into my right leg as I raise it up and with a roar, slam it down cracking the cobble stone paths and sending rocks and dirt into the air along with all the insects around me. Their bodies couldn't withstand the pressure of the void energy I unleashed and cave in, all that remains is floating crippled corpses caught in my void energy field.

The big Insect goes wide eyed and flies higher, it gives me one last glare with bared teeth before it shrieks again and flies away, the others following behind it. Huh, its smart at least, it knew it was a battle it couldn't win.

I turn around to see seven pairs of terror filled eyes.

By my stars this thing is a titan... It single hoofedly repelled the Changeling army. I just hope it does not turn on us next.

I gasp as I recall my sister's condition, I need to go check on her!

The creature puts its weapons away and stands tall and proud as Luna flies up to the hole in the castle. I've never seen or heard of anything like this, it could probably take on a horde of dragons and win. The dog sits beside it and looks just as proud.

Fluttershy is hiding behind Rarity, Dash is hovering a few metres higher than normal, and Applejack actually looks afraid.

"Ordis, how are the stabilizing thrusters?" I ask him.

"The stabilisers are fully functional, Operator. It's the main jump drive thrusters that are destroyed, reaching orbit right now is impossible, in both the Orbiter and Liset," Ordis replies.

"Alright, can you get in contact with Lotus?" I ask him.

"Connecting... Negative, communication link to the void has been lost, we'll need to fabricate a signal booster before we can attempt again," he tells me.

That shouldn't take too long to make. "Okay, bring the Orbiter over to my location and standby." I'm brought out of my thoughts as the dark blue equine suddenly latches onto me from behind and flies up to the hole as the others make some loud noises. I'm slightly startled, but I don't feel any ill will coming from her.

"Yes, Operator," Ordis replies.

We land on the ledge to see a larger white equine on the floor in much worse condition. I look to the blue one to see her with tears in her eyes, I guess she wants me to help the white one as I did her, I pull out the last healing canister I have on me and walk over to her. The... I guess guards are pointing their spears at me.

The dark blue one neighed loudly and they backed off. I kneel beside the white equine and inject her in the shoulder with it, the armoured equines are keeping a close eye on me but gasp as the cuts, gashes and broken bones close and heal. It takes a few minutes for her to come around but she opens her eyes.

And I'm blasted by a bolt of energy again. Only this time, it only sent me on my ass.

I open my eyes to the sight of a large black and red being. Due to the recent fight with Chrysalis, I thought it was one of her soldiers, it does have a chitinous like cover. So I do what my instincts told me and blast it with my magic.

But my magic is very weak right now and I didn't push it away far enough. "Sister! Be still, tis an ally! It drove the Changelings away!" Luna tells me.

I look back to the being as it stands up and... dusts itself off... like it didn't even feel that blast, true it was a weakened one but it would have still blown a hole in the wall.

"What is it?" I ask my sister.

"We dost not know, Twilight and her friends first encountered it, thou wouldst have to ask her," she replies.

The being walks up to me and extends its hand, I stare at it for a few seconds and place my hoof on it. With a nod it helps me onto my hooves.

I look at its blank face with both caution and curiosity. "Erm... Hello?"
