"So, what type of weapon exactly?"
"Some type of projectile launcher, not like Celestia's stupid guard's crossbows."
"Well, at least we can create those crossbows and try to at least take them out."
"Fine. Come back and tell me when the crossbows are done."
"Yes, my Queen."

Back in Ponyville...

"Whew!"
The Red Mercs looked at what they "built."
All they did was dug out a 10 feet deep hole with the length of a football field.
"Da. Was good work."
Medic facepalmed.
The buckets of Gravel were used as paths that lead to the future place of the main entrance.
"We certainilly need some help."
Soldier remarked,
"Even from the pastrel hippes."
"Then why don't we get them to help us then?"
Scout asked.
The mercs ran off to find a pony construction building company.
Medic was left behind, and he sighed. He pulled out gauged cylinders out from his australium-powered backpack.
"Lets go practice some mediziene."

The Changeling Hive...

Knock! Knock!
"Who is it!?!"
"Its me, my queen."
"Is the production of crossbows done?"
"Yes. We are currently training a group to use them correctly."
"Good. Order the blacksmiths to make more crossbows for us. Lets show these intruders that they cannot stop us!"

The Ponyville construction company headquarters

"So your saying that your mercs from another world now here summoned by Princess Celestia herself, and to defend Equestria, and want to build your own HQ?"
"Yeah!"
"Ok. That will be 20 thousand bits."
Scout, Soldier, and Engineer facepalmed.
"Can we have a private talk between me, Mr. Patriot, and Hardhat over ere'?"
The company boss shrugged and nodded yes."
Scout, Soldier, and Engineer walked out of the room.
"What the fuck? 20 thousand bits?!?! That's gold, pure gold right there!"
"Ah' handle it."
Engineer went back inside to talk to the boss.
"Me and mah' team over here is under Celestia's order. She'll pay fer' it."
The boss pony sighed, and nodded.
"Well, I send the bill to Celestia as you say so."
Scout heard it outside the room and said a silent Yes!
Engineer came out with Heavy and Demoman.
"Well, lets see to the protection of this town!"
Scout sighed.
"Yo, dusk is coming!"
"Well, lets go back to the castle!"

Midnight. The Changeling Hive.

"My Queen. The two attack groups are ready."
"Start the attack. First on two outposts on the outer west Everfree forest, fly over the forest itself, and attack Ponyville, home to Celestia's favorite pupil and the intruders."
The Changeling Captain saluted with its hoof.
He trotted towards the entrance of the hive.
"Charge! Squad 1 will go south-west, and Squad 2 will go south-east to attack the two outposts. We will meet up at ponyville from your direction. Go!"
The buzzing of wings made the noise of the changeling squads even scarier as they flew up in the dark night. Some of them wearing armor, some of them don't.

2 AM in the morning... Twilight's castle.

Scout woke up to the buzzing of wings, smoke, and zooming of arrows.
"Aw, crap! Incoming!"
The Red mercs woke up immediately and grabbed their weapons.
"Yee-Ha!"
"Charge!"
"Raaa!"
"Wait, where's medic?"
Medic burst in, panting, arrows stuck in his Uber pack, carrying cylinders full of diffrent types of liquids.
"Ze changelings, they're attacking!"
Medic set down his cylinders down and pulled the arrows out of the uber pack. 
"Lets go practice medizene. Again!"
The Red mercs charged out into Ponyville. There, they saw some buildings on fire, ponies screaming and items shattering, wood clanking onto the floor.
Whoosh!
Crossbow arrows zoomed towards the Red mercs as they jumped behind cover.
"Dispenser going up!"
Engineer said as he placed a toolbox on the ground and started whacking it with his strange Jag.
The Changeling Squad 2 took cover behind some boxes,not knowing what to expect.
Soldier and Demoman grinned. 
Demoman pulled out his sticky launcher and launched 8 stickies around the boxes. 
"Shiny balls? Wat."
A changeling said.
Beep!
Ker-boom!
"I'll be over ya like shingles!"
Some survived, and started shooting arrows. 
"Time to hide, baby cowards!"
Heavy said as he revved up his minigun.
Medic healed Heavy with the strange medigun, and popped the uber.
"I am BULLETPROOF!"
Arrows bounced off Heavy harmlessly as Heavy cleared changeling Squad 2 with his minigun.
Soldier shot rockets at the squad, while scout and demoman sat next to the dispenser.
Scout heard a hiss, and turned around to see squad 1 aiming crossbows at him.
"Incoming!"
Scout grabbed his flying gullotine and threw it at the changeling captain.
Blood spattered from his body, and he slumped to the floor. Scout doged the incoming barrage of arrows. 
"Sentry goin' up!"
Engineer said, whacking the level 1 sentry with the jag as it did non-lethal damage to the changelings.
"Agh! Medic!"
Demoman said, five arrows striking him. Medic rushed into the crossfire, getting striked twice. 
Meanwhile... Soldier finished off Squad 2 and rocket-jumped into the air.
"Screaming eagles!"
Pwomp! WHACK! Critical Hit!
One changeling got stomped by Soldiers Manntreads and another got market gardened.
"You got dominated, hippe, get a job!"
Demoman fired cannonballs from his Loose Cannon and leaped behind cover. 
The Squad got scattered, and took cover. By the time, Engineer grinned as the sentry gun upgraded to level 3.  It spat out hellish projectiles at the changelings, ending some changelings. 
"Giddy-up!"
Scout ran up, only to be met a arrow to the leg.
"Ugh!"
Scout pulled out his scattergun and shot the changeling.
"I'm running circles around you, I'm running circles around you!"

Meanwhile... At Rainbow Dash's house.

Rainbow Dash woke up at the noise of explosions and zooming of arrows.
"Ugh... whats going on?"
She walked outside, and met a changeling in full armor aiming a crossbow at her.
"Whoa!"
ZOOM!
Plink!
Rainbow Dash flew quickly into her house, and slammed the door just as the arrow hit the door. She locked the windows, and blocked the door. The changeling smashed the door down with brute force, but Rainbow Dash was ready.
SMACK! 
POW!
FLING!
Plink!
Thud!
Rainbow Dash smacked the changeling, did a upperhoof, threw it across the room, the changeling managing to shoot but miss, and land with a thud.
"What the hay is going on?"
She saw Ponyvile in flames, buildings crumbling to the floor. Only East Ponyvile and the town square was still intact.
She flew down, and in the burning west ponyvile section was the mercanaries, fighting a squad of changelings with crossbows.
"Get to it la-agh!"
Rainbow dash gasped.
Demoman got struck in the nuts by a arrow.
"MEEDDIICC!!"
Medic started to heal him, when Demoman equipped the Splendid Screen and The eyelander.
"ARRRGH!"
BANG!
An imaginary crowd cheers in the background as Demo charged at a changeling and bashed it to death. Shocked at the charge, the last 3 changelings were late to react.
"I'm gona' glue you butt toghether, in HELL!"
Swing!
SPACKK!
Dark greenish-blackish blood spewered everywhere, as two changeling heads fell to the ground. The last one managed to escape, but was shot down by the level three sentry Engineer built.
"Makin' Bacon. Woo-wee!"
"Ha! Ha! Ha!"
Rainbow Dash was about to hurl at the sight of blood, but she keep her food in.
"What? Thats how they all fight?  Damn, it is disgusting and horrifying!"
Scout heard Rainbow Dash and looked up. He motioned Rainbow Dash to come down and talk.
"What was that? Why are all of you so violent!?!"
Rainbow said.
"We just doing our job. In our world , we kill for a living."
"Why? Can't you just resort to peace?"
"Nope."
Heavy, Soldier, Demoman, and Medic ran off to get some buckets of water while Scout, Rainbow Dash, and Engineer stay at the scene to clean up and keep watch for any incoming changelings.

6AM Western Ponyvile...

Twilight Sparkle with Rarity and Fluttershy looked at the ruins of ponyvile.
"What happened here?"
"I don't want to know.*Squeak*!"
"Its like the dreadful place of the diamond dogs, ugh!"
When they came to the north and south areas of Ponyvile, it was totally ruined, most buildings burned to the grounds, remains of crossbow arrows where everywhere. Twilight shuddered at the sight of pony blood on the floor.
When the three came to the western section of Ponyvile, they gasped with fear. Even though the houses where slightly charred from the fires, changeling blood painted the floors and walls. 
"Yo, missy, whazup?"
Twilight looked towards Scout, sitting next to a sleeping Rainbow Dash, a dispenser, a sentry gun, and a sleeping engineer on a metalic arm-rest chair.
"You did this?!? You burned ponyvile and hurt its residents?"
"Wat? No."
"Why is there blood on the ground?"
"Well, some changelings decided to come by and fuck things up, but we killed them all."
"Yea!" Engineer said suddenly, then grabbed a beer and chugged it.
"I saw it with my own eyes! He was fighting changelings for real Twilight!"
Rainbow pleaded.
"Well, fine, I believe you."
"Damn, I feel hungry."
Scout said.
"How about we go to Sugarcube corner for some treats?"
Scout smiled.
"Yes!"
Engineer open his eyes.
"Ah' stay here, ah' ain't hungry."

Canterlot Castle...
Celestia was staring at a delicious cake.
No guard was there to alert Celestia about ponyvile.
BANG!
Princess Luna ran into the room.
"Sister!"
Celestia turned around.
"Wat?"
"Ponyvile was burned mostly to the ground!"
"How come you didn't tell me?"
Princess Luna sighed.
"I forgot until the sun came up, and even though the guards reminded me, I just... drifted off..."
Princess Celestia just facehoofed. 
"Well, send emergency suppiles to Ponyvile to help it recover."
"Yes sister."
Luna walked out of the room.
Celestia teleported to her own room, and started to write a letter.

Dear Princess Twilight,

I know that Ponyvile has been burned down, I just need to know how many is injured or missing, emergency help will be coming from canterlot. I also want to know what caused the burning of Ponyvile.
