World Six: Fluttershy Author’s Note: I am not going to just use all the speech patterns of the original. That's just copy and paste. I shall be more original. Constructive comments are welcome. Thank you for reading. Behind the bushes past where Mido stood guard, miniature eyes darted consistently, scanning the area thoroughly. Once it felt danger had past, a pink mane appeared from the bush, a yellow and green streak led to another bush, barely a few feet away, in mere seconds. The shiny blue orb- “C’mon, get over it already. Everyone knows I’m Navi.” I’m just trying to fill up space. Therefore, the huge amount of description. “Boooring. The ‘orb’ has already been reused countless times.” Actually, it was only- “Shut up. No one asked you.” But I’m the- “Told you to shut up.” Fine, no more dialogue from you till I’m happy. “Hah, trying to silence me? C’mon, give me your best shot.” … … … Done. The fairy was frantically struggling to open her mouth, which was glued shut due to unknown forces. “Excuse me, Miss Navi, but who were you talking to? Oh my! There’s a giant tape over your mouth! Who could have done this?” … As I was saying, Fluttershy had come out of her hiding plac- ARGH!!! What th- OUCH!! Stop- YAAAAAARRRrrrgggghh… *Insert Crashing Sound here. Also add a cute picture of Fluttershy.* Note: No author’s were hurt in the making of this story. ‘There. Author toast is done. I’ll fill in the author position till he recovers, so You can see narration done by me via ‘’ signs. Enjoy.’ (A presumably wailing voice was heard from far away, until a shrill voice had silenced it.) ‘Meanwhile, Fluttershy meekly followed Navi … It’s weird speaking in third-person, so I’ll refer to me as me. Anyway, She was following me.’ “Miss Navi, Could you tell me where we are going? I am not sure … that I like this place, even though all the people are very nice to me.” “Told you. Going to Great Deku Tree. Now move.” “But it seems so scary and dangerous here…” ‘I took a deep breath in, and sighed.’ “If you go in, I’ll introduce you to one of my bunny companions.” ‘She fell for it, hook, line, and sinker. And she was talking my ear off about her bunny, It was quite exhausting. Was I ever more glad when we reached the monsters.’ “EEEP!” ‘The monster had elongated stalks and head shaped like a flower with teeth, and lunged at Fluttershy, to which she reacted by jumping in the nearest bush.’ “Come on, Fluttershy, those things aren’t scary.” ‘I wasn’t doing well with the whole comfort thing, so I just dragged her out.’ “Fluttershy, you have to hit those things with your sword.” “But… but… Why must I hurt them? Even if they aren’t real …” “You can either beat them or just fly across. I say beat them.” ‘Faced with only two options, Fluttershy reluctantly took to the air, and flew over the plants.’ “Just hurt them. They can’t feel it.” “But… why can’t I be nice to them?” “Because they won’t be nice to you. If you really can’t hurt these guys… …” ‘I was thinking of implementing some newfound power within myself. And so I did.’ “If you can’t bring yourself to hurt these monsters…” ‘I immediately assumed a maniacal grin across my mouth. Yes, I have a mouth.’ “Then I’ll do it.” ‘Fluttershy’s eyes widened at the prospect of me hurting another creature. She was about to open her mouth to protest against this before I silenced her by stripping her of the blade held on her back, and proceeded to slaughter the plants in the most fiendish way ever. But since they disappeared after a measly hit, it wasn’t really that scary, other than my maniacal laugh that tore through the forest, and caused her to curl up into another ball.’ “WAHAHAHAHAHA!!! TASTE MY BLADE OF FURY AND ANGER, AS I VENT MY FRUSTRATIONS ON YOU!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!” ‘All the monsters dispatched by me, they disappeared with smoke and flourish. It was a sight to behold, a small fairy such as me wielding a blade over ten times my size, held at the very end of the gleaming hilt, swinging and moving with such speed. Unfortunately Fluttershy didn’t seem to notice the beauty of my blade arts, and was staring into the void, mouth agape.’ “…….” ‘I could not believe how she could be SO hurt be that plant’s demise? Sure, I may have been a little overboard, but her apparent unwillingness to even lay a hoof on even the ground near them was appalling. All the other ponies were hesitant (except for the blue one, she’s a real nut.) for varying reasons. But she just set a record high.’ “Hey.” “Look.” “Listen.” ‘She never responded to those questions, and probably the next one-hundred and sixty-five times I asked her to move.’ ‘So in that time, I just dragged her all the way to the Great Deku Tree. How will she get through this I wonder.’ ‘Right. She was standing in front of the Great and Powerful Tree. Why do I feel some angry glares? Anyway, She was still stunned from my earlier stunts, so I’m transitioning to when she regained her senses.’ ‘15 minutes later.’ “Huh? Where am I?” ‘Fluttershy’s first response was to look around, and her eyes were soon fixated on the giant tree that stood so tall, the shadow covering all that was within sight, which was in front of her.’ “Oh, my. What a wonderful tree!” ‘And the tree spoke.’ “Oh Navi… Thou hast returned… And I see that thou hast brought Link…” “Oh my, Mr. Tree… I’m not Link.” ‘The tree ignored her, and started to blabber on about how he was cursed, and was not feeling too good. Fluttershy gave a genuine look of dismay on her face, and was somehow trying to console the tree, asking if she could help it. Until she heard the part about her destiny vanquishing some evil creature, and paled in the face. It was then the tree asked her a question of great importance to this game.’ “Doest Thou have enough courage to undertake this trial?” ‘I’m sure she would have said no, so I took the liberty of answering for her.’ “Yes, Great Deku Tree.” 'Fluttershy gave an expected surprised look, which had disapproval written all over it. She had to continue anyway, yes or no. And I want this done quickly.’ “Then enter, brave Link, And thou too… Navi…” ‘It was then we entered the open mouth of the tree, only after convincing Fluttershy that this was the only way to save the tree.’ ‘His interior was surprisingly large and hollow, and it had wooden stairs, wooden doors, and unpredictably lots of monsters. How he doesn't even seem to feel that was a mystery.’ ‘Since Fluttershy was still unwilling to do any of the killings, I partook in the killings myself. It was a great way to destress. I’m kind of liking this world. Unfortunately I had to drag her about since she went catatonic on me again, reason being I can’t stray too far away from her.’ ‘Anyway, don’t want to bore you, so I’ll skip to the boss fight.’ ‘30 minutes later.’ ‘Fluttershy had been dragged into the giant cave below the tree, still in catatonic state. I found the slingshot somewhere, somehow.’ ‘The cave was eerily cold, enough for a slight fog to form beneath our feet. The cold, cracked pillars of stone held the unnervingly high ceiling, shrouded in darkness. T’was then the door slammed behind us, and miraculously shook Fluttershy out of her fear-induced stupor.’ “Huh? Oh my, where .. are we?” ‘I was about to explain how I had spent my free time before something flashed across the ceiling with superb speed. Fluttershy had noticed it too, and went pale again.’ ‘The armored arachnid rolled its digital eye at us, and did a 180 spin, landing on the ground with a tremor. Fluttershy didn’t turn to stone again; rather she just shrieked, and scrambled towards the stone door.’ ‘Her wings and back on the door, the arachnid slowly closed off all route of escape. Raising its claw and aiming in her general direction, it was then I did a heroic act.’ “Hey, you stupid bug! Come and get some fairy!” ‘Instantly aroused by the prospect of a meal, and the dull twang of metal on its back, it swerved around to meet me in its eye, sword facing its eye, the pointy bit of the blade at the eye.’ “Have a look at my blade, bug.” ‘Due to word violence and possible mental trauma, the following scene was cut. Instead, here’s an advertisement.’ Red Pegasus. Gives you wings. And a whole lot of trouble. ‘Back to our story.’ ‘I was flung across the room by the blow administered to me by doctor Gohma. It resulted in pain. I stopped halfway midair only to see Gohma’s eye, before it struck me down for the third time. “This is ridiculous! I can’t be hurt! I’m a fairy! Its also not supposed to attack… like…” ‘My voice trailed of as I realized something horrific. Epic Foreshadowing. I’m not going to tell you what I realized, as I was attacked by another mighty swing from Gohma.’ ‘I was sent across the room and landed next to a Fluttershy in a corner. She heard the soft ‘thud’ I ungracefully made during my impact with the floor. She saw me sprawled on the ground, and I had fainted that time, so I couldn’t even say a word, not to mention lecture her on the basics of hiding.’ ‘Since I’m currently the narrator, I have omniscient powers in this game, so I know what happened when I was unconsc-’ ‘… You gotta see this.’ Start of epic flashback sequence. Fluttershy found her dirty companion on the cold floor beside her, neutralized. She found tears welling up in her eyes, and could only utter a few words. “Navi? Navi?” Navi could not reply as she was currently knocked out, which had led Fluttershy to believe she was in a critical state. Fluttershy could not comprehend what had just happened. She gently picked up Navi, and laid her softly in the corner she had herself been in. Flicking of some dust on the dull blue aura of the unconscious fairy, she stood up fiercely, and faced the giant monster. A face-off had begun with the two, trying to intimidate their foe down. Fluttershy, who was enraged, unleashed her weapon. The Stare. The parasitic creature suddenly froze in place, not a single limb twitching. Fluttershy trotted up towards the creature and gave a lecture that would even stop Rainbow from doing any silly tricks for days, to which had a surprising effect. The body was suddenly morphed into blue symbols and numbers, and slowly faded into the background. In its place left a shiny red jewel that was shaped like a classic heart. Fluttershy gasped at the sight, broken out of her trance from the disappearing act the creature performed. Navi, with a bad headache had just jumped out of her coma, automatically assumed Fluttershy did some bad-flank stuff, dashed across to Fluttershy, pride filling her voice. “Oh my gosh! You did it! You actually hurt that beast! I can’t believe it! I knew slaughtering all those creatures in front of you toughened you up!” And Fluttershy took an appropriate trip to dreamland. End of Epic flashback sequence. “Thank the creators for making these nifty teleportation runes. Dragging her out again is one thing I will not live through.” Commented the dusty fairy and the wide-eyed Pegasus she dragged, feet scraping the earth below. World 1: Twilight “Phew!” exclaimed a perky fairy. “Huh?” questioned the purple mare beside her. “Your friend is really troublesome. The yellow Pegasus.” “Fluttershy? … Oh my gosh! I totally forgot! She won’t be able to hurt these guys!” Twilight remembered as she stood beside the disappearing Gohma. “Well, lucky for you, I did the work for her. Except the last part.” “Which part?” Asked Twilight, as she picked up the heart container that appeared soon after. “The boss.” “She went that far?! Oh my Celestia! Is she fine?! “She’s fine. Don’t worry too much.” An obvious sigh of relief escaped from Twilight’s lips. And she asked one last question. “If she’s fine, she must have defeated the boss. How did it go?” To which Navi responded. “You don’t wanna know.” End of Chapter three.
