Snarling, teeth bared, pupils widened to adjust to the darkness, this creature; an essence of nightmare agonized at the thought of being sealed away once more by the ghost of a mere filly, a pegasus with no magical ability no doubt. It was infuriating for her and she let out a scream into the cold emptiness followed by the echo of hooves smashing stone with powerful force. “Trappped... by a whelp! How dare she stop me like that, when I was so close to regaining what was mine, this body, this filly's wretched existence belongs to me!!! Only now I am impeded by that meddlesome Snowdrop and her spell...” The shade smirked and chuckled to herself. She looked out toward a light at the end of a tunnel which looked strikingly similar to Nightstone Castle's dungeon. But she didn't dwell on why it was there, her only opinion of it was annoying and worthless. She retreated away from the bars and deeper into her seal and attempted to take on her true form, only to be denied even that. “Nexus was a failure, he could not secure my return, he could not find someplace even that princess would not think to look, he and all of them FAILED!!! I am now a prisoner of a child, my power stolen to give her a boost of magic! But that does not change what little control I have. “Her anger makes it easier to posses her, negativity of any kind, to hatred and frustration, all of her feats of magic are mine in these states of agitation, but still she controls me like a puppet! Why, such a temper this one has, easily taken advantage of... but there are so many obstacles, so many blockades that half her full growth. Her potential is held back by friends and family. Sentimental trash!” The shade dug at the black mold that grew on the wall before blasting it with a crimson stream of magic. She had repeated all she had said again and again with no end since Snowdrops interventions, “Control should be mine!” the shade would shout for nopony to hear at random during her many hours of venting. “Your anger and your evil resign you to this fate. Perhaps sealing you here was an error, or perhaps I may have been wise to do so, the circumstance depend on how you choose to act with Nyx.” Luna’s words reached the shade's and she turned to see the princess of the night standing before her. With a gargling wretch of a voice, the shade spoke her name and bared her sharp knife-like teeth. Luna looked at the shade in the eyes and felt all of her actions as Nightmare Moon flood back to her, but she held herself up and stood against the flow of memory’s even as the shadow of Nightmare Moons former self neared, sensing Luna’s sudden rush and the growing pain of remembering. “Are you afraid, Luna?” The shade circled her. “Does it hurt to know you have placed a burden on the child, Nyx? To have made her my soul carrier as you once were?” laughter followed the creatures words and like a gust of wind she glided backwards and up onto a rocky causeway. “You need not be vile and cruel. With Nyx’s help you could be better then this.” “Spare me your foolish ideas, Luna! I would not change myself for anypony. My desire is to control all in this pathetic world, and destroy it if it pleases me. You and everypony else took that away. From. Me!!!” Luna frowned but persisted to Nightmare's unbridled hatred. Luna’s visit would be cut short as the shade launched itself at her with intent to take control of her instead, but a shield of white held her back and forced the monster to cower. It burned her, her black cloak of darkness was tipped with white flames before the shadows took over once more and the Shade’s glare met Luna. “I’ll make you regret, Luna!” laughed the shadow. Luna only shook her head and stepped into a veil of light. “I’m not going to give up on you, I wish Nyx the best.” And in a flash she was gone. The shade of Nightmare Moon laughed moments after. She strode very to the cell door, chortling in a sinister and unyielding tone. “You may have me trapped here Luna, but I know this body as easily as levitation, there are ways to escape if only briefly. The crack in your horn is the perfect way to come free of your seal, Nyx.” The cell door opened slightly with the nudge of her hoof, she grinned and came close to another bout of insane laughter. “We are one and the same, Nyx, and your body will be mine...” “I am terror... I am your nightmare...” =====================================================================
