Keep the Past in the Past.....

...Or it may come back to bite you.

Rainbow laughed, a smirk on her face. "Seriously!? He was your first kiss!?"

Apple Jack turned away, blushing. "Ah was drunk! Don't blame me, blame him and the cider!"

The friends had been playing Truth or Dare, and after Rainbow's question, that she asked to one of them each game. Apple Jack had just admitted to Trenderhoof. "He came to Ponyville out of the blue!"

Rainbow turned to Fluttershy, wiping a tear from her eye. "Alright Fluttershy. Truth or Dare?"

Fluttershy looked as shy as ever as she spoke softly. "T-Truth."

Rainbow pondered some possible questions, before one stuck. "What happened the years before Flight Camp, and after that? We hadn't seen eachother for years after that!"

With that, Fluttershy froze. Her pupils dilated. Her body went rigid. She had a look of pure terror on her face.

"Um, Fluttershy?" Rarity questioned, looking wary.

At those words, Fluttershy bolted, shouting words like "NO!" and "I WON'T TELL YOU!" She slammed in to the Friendship Castle's walls, flying like a deranged humming bird.

"Calm down!" Rainbow shouted trying to hold on to the screaming pegasus. There was a strange beeping noise, but Rainbow ignored it.

Suddenly the door was slammed down, and two guards stood there, one pegasus and one unicorn. "Hold her still!" The pegasus shouted.

An aura of silvery magic enveloped Fluttershy, holding her still. "Lt. Fluttershy secure sir!" The pegasus then flew over to her, and forced a pill down her throat. She swallowed and calmed down before passing out.

The two guards turned to 'Lt. Fluttershy's' friends, who currently had their jaws on the floor. "Farewell, Madams." And they flew out.

"What." Rainbow said.

"The." Rarity gasped.

"Buck." Applejack marveled.

"Just." Twilight stared.

"Happened?" Pinkie finished.

"Fluttershy's a lieutenant?" Rainbow somehow forced out.

"This is way too much to grasp, even for me!" Pinkie shouted, rubbing her forehead.

Twilight was pacing the floor. "If Pinkie can't even understand this, how can I!?"

Applejack pointed to Fluttershy, who was starting to stir. "Look, she's wakin' up!

"Oh, good morning girls. I'm sorry for freaking out...." Fluttershy said calmly.

Every pony gaped at her. "W-what?" She asked nervously. "Do I have something on my face...?"

Rarity was the first to get her mouth working again. "No, it's just..... Those two guards gave you those pills, and called you Lt. Fluttershy...."

Fluttershy sighed. "I told them they didn't have to call me that..... And those pills....." She didn't continue.

Pinkie went over to Fluttershy and hugged her. "It's okay Fluttershy, you can tell us! We're your friends, we won't judge you."

"W-Well, okay..... I am a lieutenant. Before we discovered the Elements, I spent many years in the Equestrian Army. Those pills were for...... For Post-Traumatic stress disorder..." Fluttershy stopped, and looked at her friends. Most had a look of concern, except for Rainbow, who was looking at her with awe.

"Well, what happened...?" Rarity questioned.

"Well, it was a long time ago......"

Fluttershy's story.

"Lt. Flutterfly!" Sargent Quick Shot shouted in surprise as the yellow mare ducked behind the barracks, the pin of a grenade in her teeth. "I didn't expect you here!"

"Oh can it." Lt. Fluttershy shouted over the roar of magic shots and guns. "Pay attention Sargent." She glared at the blue unicorn next to her, who had a soft green mane. The stallion was cocky and flitted from one mare to another. Even if he was of higher ranking, she would have none of it.

"Ouch." The stallion winced. "If you keep acting like that, they won't promote you." The head of the military, Commander Missile, was thinking of promoting the mare, with her no-nonsense attitude, excellent sneaking skills, and lady like charm that was excellent for spies. She could handle a gun like it was a foals toy.

A second mare then joined them, Lieutenant Shooting Star, Fluttershy's younger sister. The two were thick as theives, and worked together on most missions. "You better not be robbing my sister of her innocence.

Lt. Fluttershy feigned being hurt. "You honestly think I would let this stallion seduce me in the heart of battle, let alone at all?"

Shooting chuckled. "I wouldn't put it past him." Suddenly a whooshing noise was heard from above.

"MOVE!" Quick Shot shouted, and they ran. But, Shooting tripped.

"AH!" She wailed.

Fluttershy turned around, but it was too late. "NO!"

BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!

Flutteshy sat in shocked silence as she stared at the spot her sister's wrecked body once sat. And, in an act of cruel fate, a purple hoof landed in front of Fluttershy's own, making her let out a scream. Quick Shot pulled her to safety, and watched in shocked silence as Fluttershy, the usually tough-as-a-wall mare, broke down in tears.

As soon as the battle had ended, she turned in her gear and was sent to therapy for months, where she had discovered her Post-Traumatic Stress disorder.

As Fluttershy's story had finished, tears had raced down her face. "Th-Those pills help with it. And since I couldn't have guards always around me, I have this bracelet, that beeps if I go in to panic mode." She brushed a hoof over her leg, where a bracelet faded in to existence. "They have too. If they don't..... I have heart attacks."

Pinkie's mane had deflated, and she was in tears. Rainbow had wrapped her wings and hooves around her closest and best friend. "I can't believe you went through that...." Rainbow whispered. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.

Twilight used her magic to open the door. "How can I......" She stopped, for standing in front of her were the two guards from earlier in the day. They walked towards Fluttershy, a confused look on her face.

"We are sorry for asking this of you, Lieutenant," The unicorn said. "But we need you again."

The pegasus stepped forward. "She has escaped." At those words, Fluttershy's face turned from scared confusion to unbridled rage.

"Not on my watch."
