Full Moon, Graveyards and hide and seek
We started walking to the graveyard; I smiled to myself as I looked up at the full moon. I was looking forward to this; we've never been to the graveyard during Halloween. I looked over at Star, and she looked a little nervous.
"Are you okay Star?" I asked. She looked back and gave me a small smile.
"I'm just a little nervous, I'm not so sure about playing hide and seek in the graveyard during Halloween,said qmurmured. I just nodded.
"We'll be okay; it's just hide and seek" I smiled. Onyx and Star Fall nodded.
"Yeah, I mean it's Halloween and all but it's not like there’s going to be weirdos in the graveyard,Really, that's" Onyx said. I shook my head.
" That's not helping Onyx," I said, shaking my head. We finally made it to the gate of the graveyard; I flew over the gate and opened it. I smiled to myself as we walked thrcemetery, I wondered where we were going to play hide and seek. Star Fall and Pacific were nuzzling and whispering to each other, and I smiled to myself when I heard Star making gagging noises again.
"Ugh, make it stop; I see your guys’ affection at school and now out of school. Kill me," she said dramatically. I couldn't help but start laughing at the situation.
"Oh Star you'll be just like us when you and Prism get together," Pacific said. I nodded in silent agreement. We made our way through the graveyard looking around for places to hide; I kept stumbling a bit here and there.
"You okay Bubblegum?" Roxy asked me. I nodded again.
"I just drank a little too much hard cider," I said, slurring my words a little. Pacific and Roxy laughed a little.
"Well, it happens to the best of us," Roxy said. I nodded in agreement; we stopped by the big willow tree in the middle of the graveyard.
"Okay, so this looks like a pretty good spot to play hide and seek," Onyx said smiling. I nod in agreement.
"Okay, so who's going to be the seeker and who's going to be the hiders?" Star Fall asked.
"How about us girls and Star Fall hide and Onyx seeks,, it" Pacific said smiling. Onyx sighed.
"Fine, fine. I'll count to 50" Onyx said. I smiled and ran off towards the lake at the bottom of the ; it might be the edge of the graveyard, but I thought it was a good spot. I sat down in the long grass and waited. I heard Pacific and Roxy hiding in the pine trees towards the lake. I could hear Onyx looking around for the other ponies I sighed and laid my head down. I took a deep breath in and sighed, and I loved the smell of grass. I heard Onyx find Star Fall.
"Dude just because your black doesn't mean you can hide just in plain sight, really " Onyx said laughing.
" know where to hide, Roxy, Pacific Star, and Bubblegum took the best spots,said"stated in a pouting voice. I tried not to laugh; I could see the look on his face now. I could hear someone walking in my direction; I lay lower in the grass. I thought it was Onyx and Star Fall looking for me, but it wasn't, I tried to keep my breathing quite. It was a tall creature sniffling around; it smelled like a timber wolf. I started to freak out; I really hoped it didn't find me. It snarled and I could see all of its sharp teeth. It let out a low, menacing growl, I slowly started to back away from where it was. I'm not one to usually freak out, but I've never been around a Timber wolf before. It started to make its way into the tall grass; I started to back up more until I hit something. I slowly turned around and saw another Timber wolf, I let out a scream and flew into the sky, I felt something hit my back leg. I cried out in pain, I could feel something warm trickling down my leg. I looked down and saw deep slashes down my back leg, I started to cry. I landed sloppily in front of Star Fall, Onyx and Roxy.
"Oh my god Bubblegum what the fuck happened to your leg?" Roxy asked. All of a sudden they heard a menacing howl break the silence. They looked at me and we started to run. I didn't know where Pacific was, I hoped she would find us. We kept running, well, I ran as best I could with 3 legs. I noticed I was leaving quite the blood trail, if the Timber wolves wanted to find us they'd just have to follow that.
"You guys, we need to bandage my leg, or those two Timber wolves will know where we are. I could hear galloping, I knew it was Pacific.
"Did you guys hear that howl? Oh no Bubblegum what happened?" she asked quickly.
"Timber wolf" was all I said.
"We need to bandage her leg or the timber wolves will know where we all are," Onyx said. He pulled out one of his bigger feathers and Roxy ripped part of her costume and gave it to Pacific to make a bandage. I smiled to myself as Star Fall puts it on my leg; the pain was now a dull throbbing pain. We continued running towards the gate of the graveyard. I let everyone threw and then I locked it, I flew over and we started to make our way back to Ponyville. I could hear the timber wolves howling in the distance, I got chills down my spine just from that. We made it to the hospital and ran inside. I saw nurse Redhart.
"Please help us, she got scratched by a Timber wolf" Onyx yelled. The nurse ran to us and ushered me into a room, the doctor took my bandage off and gasped, my wound had become worse. I forgot how severe Timber wolf scratches were. They put a paste on it, it stung so bad I couldn't help but cry out in pain. They wrapped up my leg and told me to come back tomorrow morning, I nodded and we started to walk back to my house. I noticed I was still a little drunk, I was glad my little brother was staying at Button Mash's house. I smiled when I saw that Sugar Cube Corner was still open. I stood at the counter.
"Hey Bubble gum what's up?" Pinkie asked happily. I smiled.
"Hey Pinkie Pie can I have a bottle of Apple Cider and a cupcake?" I asked. She nodded and handed me my Apple cider and cupcake, I munched on the cupcake for a moment and took a big gulp of my cider. I sighed happily. We started to slowly make our way towards the end of town where the steps to my house were, I noticed a pony sitting there crying. It was Fossil, I sighed. I looked at my friends, they nodded and wandered off over to one of the little fish ponds nearby. I slowly limped my way over to my boyfriend, I sighed as I sat in front of him. He looked up and his eyes were horrified.
"Baby what happened to your leg?" he asked suddenly. I sighed as I stretched it out. Another lonesome howl broke through the dark.
"A Timber wolf attacked me while we were playing Hide and Seek in the dark, and it left gashes on my leg. Onyx, Pacific and Star Fall made me a temporary wrap for it and when we got to the hospital the gashes had gotten bigger until it was a huge gaping hole in my leg" I finished. Fossil's eyes started to water again, I sighed as I stretched my wings and forelegs out. He was sobbing in my arms; I shushed him and ran my hooves over his mane. His crying slowed but he was still sad, I hated seeing him like this. He looked up at me and I kissed him gently, he smiled as he kissed back. “Better babe?" I asked smiling, my yellow eye glittering, my light pink mane flowing in the cool breeze. He smiled at me his orange eyes shining. He nodded and hugged me one more time.
'I'm glad you came back to me, I'd be lost without you. You're my one true love Fossil. Together always and forever' I thought to myself with a big grin on my face.
