In the back seat of a car driving down the road there was a blond teenage girl looking out the window with a bored look. She wore a light green T-shirt, blue skinny jeans, and wore a gold lyre necklace. Next to her was a teenage boy with short brown hair. He wore a black sweat shirt and baggy denim jeans.
Lyra felt a strange sense of deja vu. She looked over to her brother Toby to see if she could try and brake the silence but couldn't think of anything to say. She turned back around and fiddled with her necklace. She was very talented at playing the lyre. Her friend always joked about how ironic her name was. She loved playing it, expesily for her brother. It always made him feel a little better whenever he felt depressed. She was shook out of her thoughts by a strange feeling in the back of her mind telling her to look forward.
As she turned her head to look out the front windshield she saw a truck coming straight for the car.
She screamed.
"AHHHHHHHH!" Lyra Heartstrings screamed as she woke up covered in sweat. She through the covers off and looked down. She was met with her normal pony self. She sighed in relief.
Hooves steps could be heard running up the stairs to her room. "Lyra!?" Bonbon exclaimed in worry as she came bursting through the door.
"I'm fine. I'm fine. I just had the dream again." Lyra said to her best friend.
Bonbon groaned. "Again?!" She exclaimed. "Seiriously Lyra, I really think you should see someone about this Human thing. I'm getting worried."
"I'm fine, Bon." Lyra tried to reassure her. "It just felt so real, like... like a memory of a past life or something."
"Okay, now your talking crazy. You've been reading too many books." Bonbon said.
Lyra just rolled her eyes and got out of bed. "I have not." She said as she walked past Bonbon and out the bedroom door with Bonbon close behind. "I just need some fresh air."
"At three in the morning?" Bonbon asked.
Lyra picked up her lyre and turned to her friend. "Yes. I'm just going to play my lyre and try to relax. I'll be back in a couple minutes." She said before walking out the front door and towards her favorite bench.
"We've been w-walking around for hours and haven't seen any sign of Slender." Toby complained.
Masky sighed in annoyance "Then what do you suppose we do then."
"We could find one of them pony things and force it to tell us were the nearest forest is." He suggested.
"Yea, that'll go just great." Masky said sarcastically.
"Fine. Lets hear your plan, smartass." Toby said.
"How about we just split up and look. It will be alot faster and a lot less irritating." Masky said and looked at Toby.
"Ohhh. I get it. you two want some alone time. Hahahahaha!" Toby laughed as he walk a different direction. "Have fun. Hahahaha!"
"He is so lucky he can't feel pain." Masky said as he clenched his fists.
"Little shits telling me were t-to go when they don't even know were the fuck there going." Toby said as he walked. He moved his goggles above his eyes so he could see better and pulled down his bandana. He only ever did this when he was alone. He came to a hult when he heard a fimiliar sound.
Flash Back
Toby was laying in his bed staring at the ceiling. He heard hid door open and turned to see Lyra.
"Hey Toby." She said as she walked in, lyre in hand. "Hope I'm not bothering you."
"No. Your fine." He said dully. "So w-what do you want."
"Just wanted to come and try and cheer you up a little." She said as she sat down on the foot of Toby's bad and started playing her lyre.
End Flash Back
Toby's eyes widened. "Lyra?" He whispered. He bolted in the direction of the music. He knew his sister was dead and it would be impossible for her to be alive, but he's seen a lot of impossible things after being taken in by Slenderman. As he got closer he felt more hope that his sister was alive. The music he was hearing was the exact same tune that she would play to him.
When he turned a corner and found the souce of the music his hopes were shattered in a million peices. In the distance instead of his sister there was a mint-green unicorn playing a gold lyre that looked just like his sisters necklace. It was sitting in a way that a human would with its eyes closed in relaxation.
Toby suddenly felt extream anger towards this pony.The pony that made him believe that Lyra was still alive only to shatter every bit of hope he had. He slowly grabbed his axes. He just wanted to forget his life, but this pony had to remind him of the only person her truly cared about. He titened his grip on his axes and clenched his teeth in pure anger. An image of Lyra's mangled corpes flashed across his vision for a second and he charged.
As Lyra was playing she heard something and opened her eyes to see what it was, only to be tackled off her bench moments later. She looked up to see who tackled her only to see the same boy she seen in her dreams. He had a look of rage, but had tears running down his face. He raise two axes in the air and was about to strike. Memories from a life she should not remember living flooded her mind. "Toby?"
Toby froze. That voice. That was Lyra's voice. And she knew who he was. Toby dropped the axes and stared at the pony. he blinked and found himself stareing at his beloved sister. "L-Lyra?" He blinked again and he saw the pony once again. "B-but your-"
"A pony?" Lyra finished. "I know. I was born a pony, but I was also born a human. Wow, this is confusing. It's like I have two lives crambed into one head."
"Y-your alive." Toby said.
"Yea, I guess that's what being reborn does to a- OOF!" She was interrupted be Toby grabbing her into a hug. She could already feel her fur getting stained with tears. Lyra hugged back.
Lyra heard something coming towards them and looked up to see Bonbon rocketing strait for Toby. She didn't have tiem to react as Bonbon bucked him right in the temple causing him to fly into the bench and shatering it. Bonbon walked up to a completely shocked Lyra. "Lyra! Are you okay? Did that creature hurt y- BAM!"
Lyra punched Bonbon in the face before she could finish. "HOW DARE YOU DO THAT TO MY LITTLE BROTHER!!!" She screamed and ran to Toby's side. "Toby. Toby? Come on Toby you can wake up now! Seriously this isn't funny! TOBY! WAKE UP!" She yelled as she tried to shake him awake. She put her ear on his chest to try and hear a heart beat. Nothing. She hugged him and started sobbing.
"Lyra." Bonbon said as she put a hoof on her shoulder.
Lyra turned around and gave her the most hate-filled glare Equestria has ever seen. "Don't you touch me!" She said with so much venom it could fill the entire ocean.
"Lyra, please. Can you explain what is going on?" Bonbon pleaded.
"The end of our friendship." She said before vanishing in a flash of green magic with Toby. She quickly turned around to see her front door being slammed shut. She ran up to the door and tried to open it, but it was locked. She started pounding on the door. "Lyra! Lyra open the door! This is my house too, you can't just lock me out! Lyra!"
Slender sensed something wrong. Something had happened to Toby. Someone had attacked him. This really pissed Slender off. Looks like someone made the top off his Hit List.
