//------------------------------// // For glory! // Story: Praise the moon! // by xluferx //------------------------------// It took only weeks for the building where all the future members who will join the Warriors of the Moonlight can reside with all the accommodations, and the size of the building was almost as big as a castle; yet how was that even possible? It took years to finish the castle where Celestia and Luna reside nowadays, but the difference is that this time Luna herself helped in the construction. And in those weeks Lunaire didn’t say idle the whole time, as Solaire did he spread the word of the Moon with fervor and devotion that the citizens heard every word he had to say to them. Every time Lunaire had talk to them he did at night and the ponies who were interested waited with excitement till the night only for hear him speak about the wonders of his beliefs, furthermore some ponies began to accompany him when he start his praises below the glory of the moon. And the princess of night couldn’t feel happy, finally after so much time of grieve her little ponies appreciated her night; and to add the cherry over the cake (which hopefully is safe from Celestia’s mouth) some of her night guards returned and the number of recruits increased. However there were more important things to do. Celestia and Luna were searching for their respective knight; they needed to find them before they could start with a serious talk concerning Equestria. After Lunaire spread the wonders about the night there was polemics between the citizens, the dispute was about which celestial symbol was the best but it never got violent in any kind but it surely was noticed the mental division the two sides made, and what worried them the most was that there were ponies who remained neutral to the subject but are being pressured to choose one side. Meanwhile, a normal pony guard was doing his daily job by patrolling his specified perimeter. He walked through one of the many halls of the castle insides; he always was looking forwards but after passing a certain entrance his head turned to the right side and saw the two knights from the crown, such fact mild confused him because both of them don’t like to be near the other and they always try to remain as far as possible from the other and seeing them that close and praising together was a sight to behold. Yet he had a job to do, so he kept doing his patrol ignoring the fact that auras began to form around the celestial knights. The naïve earth-pony kept walking until both princesses appeared in front of him, as he was trained he bowed in respect but he was caught of the guard when he was lifted from the floor and had to connect gazes with the desperate eyes from both princesses. “HAVE YOU SEEN OUR KNIGHTS?!” “Ehhhh…they were together at the sanctuary” The sanctuary was a recently included small room requested by both knights so when they feel the urge to praise alone. Hearing the phrase ‘praising together’ didn’t fit well in the slightest, and their worries increased. Almost immediately both princesses teleported themselves to the sanctuary with the hope that they were in time before something drastic might happen inside there. And to the relief of them, they were in time. But also late. Both worshippers were engulfed in bright auras, just above their respective heads a duel was being held, the two auras created an exact replica of their users as the same with the weaponry. They didn’t understand how that was possible and coming for reasonable terminologies and explanation they needed to stop it now. Lunaire II only had one color; a darkish purple meanwhile Solaire II was pure golden. The two spirits fought with fervor, there was no sound made every time their swords collided, instead it created flashes, Celestia and Luna saw how they fought to maintain the terrain and how they tried to win over the other but finding no success; when a swing was delivered it was blocked or parried and when they tested their strength trying to push the other back, they couldn’t. Despite the sister wanted to see how the battle could end there was matter of more importance at hoof. “SOLAIRE/LUNAIRE STOP AT THIS INSTANCE!” And stop they will. The raised from their respective spot, in synchronization the walked towards their respective worship and they stared at each other not uttering a single word. The coldness of the environment sends shivers to the back of our beloved princesses; they were just standing next to them. Luna told Lunaire to go to his quarters and to don’t leave them unless she says otherwise, and Celestia said the same with Solaire. Solaire and Lunaire nodded and began their way to their respective covenants but they were silent, too silent to the princesses’ tastes. “Luna we need to talk” Luna was a bit surprised to say at least, even more with the tone her sister had just used; Celestia was always happy with a motherly tone but now she sounded dead serious like something of big importance needed to be discussed with her and there was no time to play around. In silence they walked through the halls their steps echoing in synchronization, they didn’t talk and didn’t connected gazes, they just walked until reaching Celestia’s bedchambers. Once there each princess took seat where they find it the most comfortable; Celestia lays in her purple sofa made just for her and Luna rested on the other sofa but with a different color scheme. “Sister this last weeks had been troublesome and very tense” Celestia started, Luna was completely agreeing with her; the division that the members from both covenants was starting to get more worrisome, fearing that they might get violent and start a fight. “I know this will be difficult for you but Lunaire has to leave Equestria” The princess of the sun stated. “WHAT?!” That just wouldn’t do. No, not a chance in tartarus. Luna will not allow happening such thing to her knight, the only one who talked and appreciated her night; the one who helped her to teach to the ponies to appreciate the night instead of fearing it. The only one who could give her such perfect belly rubs when she was stressed, despite other could give her that it wouldn’t be the same because Lunaire posses fingers and they are better than any hoof will be. “Luna, since he arrived he has only caused ruckus and distrust between our subjects; and I can’t allow that to happen anymore.” Celestia was serious but at the same time she felt bad for doing it; she saw how happy was Luna with her own knight but it was the right thing to do. However Luna had other things to point out. “Why our knight and not yours?!” Luna wasn’t angry but she was upset at what was just proposed as a solution to the current problem in Equestria; it was Solaire the responsible of everything not Lunaire, he should be the one who should leave Equestria. At mentioning Solaire Celestia’s face hardened as a hint of anger began to surface “Unlike Lunaire, Solaire didn’t cause any harm.” Then she huffed. “WHAT?!” Now our younger princess was angry. The royal Canterlot Voice made the ethereal mane of Celestia stay paralyzed as it shocked to Celestia herself. “Solaire had been causing harm to me!” Luna started fully stand and defiantly “He had caused to our subjects to loathe the night more than they already did!” Without her noticing she was stomping the floor of her sister’s room “I was so angry but at the same time I felt so sad and lonely until he came!” By that point Luna panted recovering the lost air. The truth had been said, and Celestia never knew about her sister feelings; she didn’t knew that Luna was so jealous of her and that she hated Solaire with that intensity, all that ime she thought that Luna was shy but what a fool she was. To that point tears were dripping to the floor, Luna’s tears; she was crying. Celestia without saying a word immediately she went to give her sister the needed hug and comfort that she craved for; she did a terrible mistake but now she have learned from it. Luna without a second though returned the embrace and keep crying on his sister shoulder, despite she always was smiling she was crying on the inside; even Lunaire would be able to give the love that a family member can give to other. Celestia didn’t cry but she was sad, there was nobody to blame than her; it was her fault to allow Solaire to speak freely she should have heard what he was saying in the first place. But also she couldn’t blame Solaire neither Lunaire they were innocent. “Luna, Why didn’t you tell me sooner?” “You were always occupied that I didn’t want to give you more problems” “Luna you never will be a problem to me, how could you even think such thing?” “I just…” But she wasn’t able to keep talking, Celestia just tightened the embrace chocking her a bit but at the same time playfully because Celestia began to laugh. “You are my little sister Luna and you matters more than anything.” Luna didn’t accompany her sister with the laugh but she smiled happily, though her eyes were bloodshot for all that crying. “Let’s clean you up and have a talk” Luna nodded and Celestia gave a warm smile. -30 minutes later Both sisters were happily talking each other, all the weight that had been over Luna’ heart finally was gone. That’s all she needed to do, talk with Celestia; and now she feel a bit stupid for not doing that since the beginning but what is done is done. But they didn’t waste time as they talked, they also brought the problem which was at their hooves, but together they worked better and a solution was found very easily. “A tournament!” “Think about it Luna” Celestia was smiling and Luna was too “A tournament would be the best way for them to show their skills rather than only be talking about them, I know for sure that Solaire and Lunaire would love the idea.” Luna brought a hoof under her chin thinking of negatives outcomes but found none. “The tournament will have several disciplines; testing the abilities of the ponies who are members both from the Warriors of Sunlight and Moonlight.” “In that way they will settle their differences and learn how to respect the opponent, and from there friendship is ensued, is the perfect solution!” Luna agreed but how vaguely her sister explained made her feel uneasy, however she has al the certainty that Celestia will give further details when they began with the preparations. “We will call it…” Now was the most difficult part of every creation. The name. Sadly both sisters were not that creative. For their luck their little subjects wouldn’t dare to question nsuch petty thing. “The Equestrian Games!” Both alicorns named the event without their knowledge of how unoriginal it was. “The event will be held until both sides learn to accept each other, and a powerful friendship flourishes.” And eagerly they prepared the event. -1035 years later. “WELCOME TO THE 213 EQUESTRIAN GAMES !!” “Well shit”
