//------------------------------// // Let the pranking commence!! // Story: Best April Foals Day Ever!! // by Vinyl-ScratchDJ17 //------------------------------// ''Twas the night before Christmas April Foals day, and not a single soul was a stir, except for an anxious Luna, awaiting for the following morning to arrive. To a brand new day of games and pranks. She sneered, and snickered, rubbing her fore hooves together that she would be the queen of this years April Foals day. She lay there in bed, many mischievous thoughts swimming through her head, of all the many, great pranks that she would play, on such a fine day. Whether it be leaving the door open a crack, with a bucket of glue, and glitter resting atop The door. So when her elder sister Celestia feels she needs to leave, it would fall upon her head, leaving her mane, and her fur, all out of whack! Don't want to know how she'd feel about that! But, such a trick might be going a little over the line. She wouldn't want to upset her dear sister, Tia on such a grand holiday, with all of what fun she had in store! She doesn't mean any harm, just wants a little laugh is all and nothing more. Because, just sitting around has become quite the bore. Maybe she could use salt in her tea, instead of sugar? But then again, that idea would seem quite vulgar, and would pass off as nothing more than annoying. Luna has a lot of thinking to do, and ideas going left and right! She knew for sure that tomorrow would be quite the delight. But for now, she decided to get snuggled up tight. Under her warm covers, she lay on her side, a smile across her face, as she slips into her world of dreams. And the smile on her face gleefully beams, with joy and pride! Luna awoken with a shake against her side. She yawned deeply, stretching her way into a sitting position. "Lulu, it's time for you to lower the moon, so I can raise the sun!" Celestia happily chirped to her younger sister of the night. "It be thy time already?" Luna asked, continuing to stretch her stiff muscles. "We shall be getting up then." She said groggily, climbing out of bed, and onto all fours. "Come on now. breakfast is waiting." Said Celestia, with a smile. And with that, the celestial sun goddess, leaves the room. Luna stands there for another moment, allowing her brain to catch up with the early morning. She yawns once more, cracking a few bones in her neck. She begins to trot after her sister when she remembers what's supposed to happen today. A wide, smirk like grin, crept across her blue muzzle. She follows Celestia down a few corridors, and into the dinning hall. That's when she saw Princess Cadance, Princess Twilight, and Shining Armor were joining them today. That same grin from before, plastered itself on her face again, as Luna began to concentrate on Celestia's flanks. Now, it's not what you think. Luna's horn glows a dark blue, and a small spark erupts from it. You will see in a moment. "Good morning your highnesses!" The three cheerfully say in unison, as the two enter the room. "I think I've told you this plenty of times. You don't have to be so formal about it." Celestial says sheepishly, as she approaches her chair on one end of the table, as Luna sits in hers on the opposite side. "You may address us with our rightful names." She added. Fears of giving it away, Luna covers her mouth with her hooves to keep from uttering a peep. Celestia takes her seat. FFFPPHHEEERRRPP Twilight, Cadance, and Shining all stare wide eyed at Princess Celestia, who has the same expression. "What in Equestria have you been eating?!" Shining joked. Celestia didn't find it very amusing, as she shot a menacing glare at him. All the while, Luna had reached her breaking point, and burst out laughing. "BWHAAAAA!! HA!! HA!! HAAAAA!! HAAAAAA!!" "Y-your highness...are you alright?" A skeptical Cadance asked, while the others could only tilt their heads in confusion. "Thou should have seen thine face!! HAAA!!" Luna continued to holler, nearly falling out of her chair. "Is...something going on, we should know about?" Twilight whispered to Celestia. "I would like to know the same thing." Celestia replied to Twilight. "Luna!" She roared, standing from her chair. This was it. The end of the line. "Y-yes, Tia? What might thy need to ask?" Said Luna, after she regains control of herself. "What is the meaning of thi-" FFFPPHHEEERRRPP Celestia sits, taking deep breaths, while the others continue to stare in confusion as to what in the hay is going on. "Thy meaning to this is...APRIL FOALS DAY!!" Luna cheered loudly, leaning over the table. Celly hasn't always been the one to partake in such humerous events, but the latter of it caught up to her as she began to laugh slightly, which turned into a full out laughing fit. Luna was happy, yet confused at the same time. Happy that her first April Foals day was off to a great start, yet, very confused by the reaction she got from her sister. The other three joined into the laughter as Celestia sat once again, emitting the uproarious farting sound. Another five minutes later, Luna removed the spell she placed on her sister's flanks, and they began eating their breakfast, this contained a plate of three haycakes, a fruit salad, and a cup of tea. Condiments like syrup, sugar, salt and pepper were scattered around the table for everypony's disposal. Celestia eyed a small salt shaker near her, and her mind hatched an idea to get back at Luna. "Sayyy...how's the tea, Lulu?" She asked, trying to seem as little suspicious as possible. "It's a little bland, we wish it be a little sweeter!" Luna declared, raising a hoof into the air. "You don't have to get so over confident about sugar you know." Celly chuckled to herself, as her horn began to glow a yellow aura, as the small, transparent salt shaker was enveloped in the same color. She levitated it over Luna's tea. "Say when, when you want me to stop, okay?" "Sounds good to us!" And with this said, Celetia began shaking away. Shake shake shake shake shake shake shake shake shake shake... "When!" Luna cried with glee in her tone. "Awe, sure you don't want anymore?" Celestia asked, making a pouty face. "As they say, The more the better!" Luna shouts confidently. With a couple more shakes, Celestia returns the salt shaker to its spot on the table. Meanwhile, Luna is stirring in her "sugar" with a spoon, using her magic. She then lifts the tea cup to her mouth and takes a sip, as Celestia watches eagerly. The other three can only watch in suspense as they know, based on the givin situation, that something was up. "PPPPPFFFFTTTT!! That...was...not...sugar!" Luna cried dryly. Literally. "APRIL FOALS DAY!!" Celestial shouted in triumph, as her tastes for vengeance have been acquired, while Luna flat out shoves a whole haycake in her mouth to sooth her taste buds, Too bad for Shining Armor, he wasn't so dry anymore. His blue mane, flops down over his face, dripping tea from the ends, and his fur, soaking wet. He lets out a low grunt. "May I be excused for a moment." He huffs, just above a whisper. They all turn their focus onto Shining who is currently leaving the room, muttering obscenities under his breath. Cadence can't help but giggle a little at the sight of her husband being drenched in tea. "Maybe it could be a new look for him!" She joked, causing the others to laugh, except for Shining. "I heard that!" His voice calls out from down the hall. Uneasy about the situation, Twilight makes the attempt to change the subject. "So...um...Princess Celestia. I hear that The dazzlings are homeless now and are looking for jobs, based on what Sunset Shimmer told me." She said nervously. "Is that so? I'll bet they won't be getting hired anytime soon. And tell Sunset Shimmer I say h-" Celestia gets cut off by a flying haycake being impaled on her horn. it slides down to her forehead, and it saggs in front of her face, blocking most of her pirepheral vision. "We got you back!" Luna Chirps, teleporting to the dinning hall exit. Celestia removes the haycake from her face, just in time to see Luna running out the door. "Hold on to that thought, Twilight. She uses her magic to place the hay cake on Twilights horn, as she gallops off after her little sister. She sees her running down a short flight of stairs, and as she approaches them, smooth Ice begins to cover the floor and the steps. This causes her to slip onto her rump, and apparently she also used that spell from earlier to make her fart because she heard this going down the steps: FFERP! FFERP! FFERP! FFERP! FFERP! FFERP! FFERP! FFERP! She had flopped onto her belly as she reached the bottom of the steps, and slid right past Luna, who was waving happily. "We shall see thine face later, sister!" She trotted back up the steps, undoing her ice spell. She trotted back into the dinning hall, Where Cadance, and Twilight were standing by the door. "We need a pie, and fast!" She said hurridly, shaking Twilight by the withers. "There's one in the kitchen on the counter I saw, but...why?" Twilight Immediately regretted asking the question, making her feel stupid since it obviously had something to do with Princess Celestia. "Thanks'" She gave Twilight a quick hug, and zoomed off into the kitchen. She levitated the Pie, in the tinfoil pie bowl, with the bottom facing her. This is when she saw Celestia charging at her. Luna stood her ground, waiting for the right moment. She just quickly thot of this as a plan, but never thought she would get as far as getting a pie in her possession, even. "LUUNNAAAA!!" Celestia roared. Still, Luna stayed where she was. When her sister got within a few feet, she immediately flipped the pie around, and stepped to the side, holding the pie at the right height, as Celestia's face slammed into it, apple filling flying everywhere. Most of it got caught in her mane, and her face. All the chefs could do...was watch. Watch the two rulers of Equsteia make complete fools, and messes of themselves. Out of precaution, Celestia attempted to stop, but with gold shoes on a tile floor, proves to be very challenging to stop an alicorn that must weight half a ton. If not more. She slides right into a shelf with more pies on it, and just to her luck, they don't fall. Well except for one which luckily missed her altogether. She lets out an exasperated sigh, using a hoof to clear as much pie from her face as possible. Luna was back to non stop laughing, lying on her back, her forelegs over her belly, and hind legs kicking the air. "BEST DAY EVER!!" Luna cried happily, re controlling herself, which is where the laughing stops. She's now eye to eye with the Celestia version of the "Fluttershy" stare. Even though she is covered in pie crusts and apple filling, it's no laughing matter when Celestia does the Stare. "Lulu...you are going to pay." All Luna could reply with was an "Uh...oh..." Two hours later... After Luna's outrageous act, she was left to clean up the mess she made, by order of Princess Celestia. She scrubs the floor with a wet mop, and a wooden bucket of water in front of her. Celestia walks in, after washing herself up, with a rather pleased look on her face. She approaches Luna as if the whole situation never happened. "How's the cleaning going?" She asks with a smile. Luna returns her question with a glare. "We are enjoying it rather well." She mutters through gritted teeth. "That's splendid to hear! Now I would hope that you wouldn't mind doing this next year, because I think I did pretty well for my first time." She gives Luna a sly look, earning no response from her younger sibling. Celestia leans her mouth next to Luna's left ear and says "Best April Foals day...ever." She whispered with an emphasis on 'ever'. Celestia began to trot out of the kitchen, only to stop by the door, and looks back. "Oh, and one more thing, Lulu." "What's that." Luna asks, finally decided to speak. "Happy April foals day." She deadpans, exiting the kitchen.
