As the captain watches the screen that serves as the ships radir, the door to the bride is opened, he does not look up as hoofsetps creep up on him, a gentle hoof is placed on his shoulder and a soft voice says. "Captain, you need to rest you have been up here for a week and I dont think you have even come down to sleep yet..."
Damon slowly turns around and faces the pony who turns out to be Dreamfly. "You should still be down in the infermary..."
Dreamfly frowns. "So should you, you need rest."She smiles and says. "Dont worry, we will find her."
Damon shakes his head. "If we dont get to them now, we might only find bits a pieces of her..."
Dream takes a deep breath and says. "Dont think like that... Now you need to get some rest, I will watch for any sign of her."
The captain frowns and says. "Fine but if you see anything you will find me!"
Dream smiles and says. "You will be the first to know."
Damon nods and leaves to find his bunk.
Carrot is awakend by the squeeking of the door and the blinding light that followed. She does not do anything, She just hangs her head and waits. She though she would be dead at this point but she has become a crowd favorite on the ship. As she braces herself for another night of beatings and torturer she is calmed by a small gentle voice. "Carrot are you awake?"
The mare looks up to see a small green pony standing there. She smiles and says weakly. "Yeah... I am awake..."
The small unicorn smiles and offers some water to the mare, she drinks deeply from the cup held infront of her face but the young unicorns magic. After the cup is empty carrot smiles and says. "Thanks..."
The green filly sits down next to her and asks. "Do you still think your friends are comeing?"
Carrot sighs. "We can only hope...I dont think I can take much more of this Star..."
The green filly smiles, her full name is starfire but she likes it when carrot calls her star, it reminds her of how her sister would do the same.
Carrot hangs her head. "Hey...Can I ask you something about your sister?"
Star frowns for a second but says. "Yeah...its ok..."
Tears flow down her face as she asks. "How did your sister manage to kill herself?"
Star frowns and says. "She found a knife...and slit her wrists..."
Carrot is quite for a second than asks. "Do you still have it...?"
Star begins to cry as she hugs carrot cake. "No...you cant leave me..."
Carrot just hangs her head. "Im sorry star...but I dont think I can take anymore of this..."
Star sobs into her chest. "No, carrot you cant...I cant lose anyone else..."
Carrot looks at the small pony and frowns, maybe she is right, she should still have hope in her crew finding her. But than she looks at herself, both of her wings are broke, almost half of her mane has been ripped out and the countless other things that they have done to her...
As carrot thinks about what she is going to do a large explosion comes from below the two.
Starfire smiles. "Its them its your friends!"
Carrot just shakes her head. "No...that was from inside the ship, the engine maybe..."
Starfire just frowns and leans her head on carrots body. "Carrot...don't leave..."
Dream scans over the consul as she does every hour, it is nice that she finally got the captain to get some rest, he as been asleep for almost ten hours now. As she looks over the radar she gasps, there is a ship no more than half an hour off, she checks for any kind of distress beacon but finds nothing. As they draw closer she runs a scan over the ship that confirms her idea, its was a raver ship, and its engines are dead!
The ships alarms sound and Damon rolls out of his bed, even with the little sleep he has got over the last week he still had a hard time falling asleep. But there is only one reason he cares to think why Dreamfly would sound the alarm, they found carrot!
As he rushes up to the bridge he is greeted but Dutch and Dream, Dream smiles and says. "We found them captain, and they are dead in the water!"
Damon smiles and says. "Good, I want you both ready to board that ship as soon a we make contact, you hear me!"
Both of the ponies nod and rush off to prepare for the oncoming combat, Damon who has already gathered up his weapons days before just stairs out the window at the reaper ship that is still nothing more than a small ball of light...
