//------------------------------// // The Centaur's End and Man's Beginning // Story: Ampped // by Allonsy //------------------------------// Twilight and her companion lay on the ground, all their magic absorbed by the centaur before them, their friends now free. They had only just begun to run for the box, but Tirek stood in their way. The eight found themselves trapped. At least, they would have been. It was when the sound of thunder shook the moutnain and Tirek himself was blasted back that Twilight Sparkle and her fighting companion were shocked by what seemed to be a bolt of lighting, throwing the centaur backwards. After a large amount of dust cleared, the pissed centaur glared in the direction that the bolt seemed to come from. "WHO DARES?" The centaur screamed, his hair and horns singed. From clouds above the mountain, a bipedal figure in a white labcoat floated down. His hair was as blonde as gold and his eyes strikingly blue. He seemed to radiate electricity itself. "I dare," the figure answered as lighting began to shoot from his fingertips. "You? Hah! I can merely steal your magic!" The centaur opened his mouth wide only to be shocked as the magic began streaming from his towards the character, turning to lightning as it struck his fingertips. "This," the figure held up a hand as the electricity gathered into a ball, "is nothing more than another form of electricity," he smirked, "and do you know what that means, Tirek?" The centaur gulped, pure fear racing his being for the first time in many years. Only, this time, it was far more potent. "It is mine to control," the figure raised the ball of lightning to the sky, "I am the Lord of Storms, The Lightning God, Dr. Thaddeus Alxion." As soon as Alxion finished he hurled the lightning at the centaur who, with the magic in its true form, could do nothing as he was thrown back, arcing through the sky and crashing into another mountain. "You two," he gestured at Twilight and her companion, "Go. Do whatever it is you were going to do, I will take care of him." Alxion shot forward into the form of a lightning bolt stopping where Tirek crashed. As soon as he did so, the centaur broke through the rock and grabbed the man throwing him downward. Quick as thunder, Alxion shot back upwards and faced the centaur, his labcoat sizzling with tiny bolts of lightning. "Do you not remember me? The man who shared your imprisonment? The man who knows all of your plans?" Alxion smirked, his eyes glowing ominously. "YOU! You choose to fight me? Why? These ponies imprisoned you as well!" Tirek roared, preparing to attack. "Ponies? Imprison me?" Alxion began to laughed, thunder echoing him, "You know nothing, fool. I was imprisoned by the Spirit of Chaos, not some measely winged unicorns!" "Discord imprisoned YOU?" Tirek began to roar with laughter as well, "You are weak, and I will crush you." "Discord was a true opponent, one who I respect as an equal. We dueled and he won, mind you not through power, so I went through with our agreement," Alxion smiled but his eyes did not. At that moment, Tirek attacked only to be blasted back by barrage after barrage of lightning. Far into the sky the two flew, "If you have harmed him, even if you merely took his power, you will die!" Tirek coughed and laughed, trying to throw off the man, "I took his power AND disgraced him to his friends," which merely pissed him off more. Alxion laughed, a dark merciless laugh, "Then I can say I was provoked!" Alxion reached behind him into his lab coat and pulled out a sword, crackling with electricity, and struck the centaur downwards. With an extremely loud explosion Tirek struck the ground. Now inside a massive crater and unable to move from pain, Tirek shuddered as Alxion floated down to him, and leaned over to look him in the eyes. The man's face showed no exhaustion, and he glared into Tirek's face with pure hatred. "Little centaur, I have listened to your wails for far too long, to be put simply, you were no challenge." Alxion plunged his sword into the centaur's chest as a rainbow blasted through the sky and ponies and other creatures alike felt their magic return. The centaur remained frozen as electricity went up the sword and into Alxion. When the man finally removed his bloodied sword, the centaur's body dissipated, to be as if it never were. Alxion stood up as Twilight and her companion walked up to him. "Who are you? And where is Tirek?" Twilight demanded, slight frazzled. "I am Dr. Thaddeus Alxion, The Lord of Storms, and the Lightning God, young Twilight," Alxion answered, bowing slightly. "How do you know my name?" Twilight squinted at the man with some scrutiny. "I was imprisoned in Tartarus with a looking glass until Tirek escaped. I have been following him ever since," Alxion said, still bowing. "Speaking of Tirek," the other figure asked, her form slightly hidden by a cloak, "Where is he?" "I have absorbed his magic, or rather, all the electricity from him. His atoms dissolved without anything to hold them together," Alxion smiled, "What is your name, young miss? I never seemed to catch it." "It's Amelia, Amelia Turner," she said, which caused him to freeze. The man seemed shocked, almost as if something he treasured dearly had been found. Tears filled his eyes, "Lia-lee?" Amelia froze and looked up, her face was filled with tears as well, "D-daddy?" Twilight gapped, probably shocked beyond belief. "Yes honey, its me," the man embraced his daughter with elated joy.
