The Dawn of Twilight

Prologue

It was long ago before my time, yet all I can remember is this little rhythm. A soft voice like a lullaby, said the rhythm in what couldn’t be anything else other than fear.

The Diamonds gleam brightly,
Seeing their light makes me very happy,
I became ever so doubtful,
How can you say I'm beautiful?
You must be bold and cunning,
Can you feel the Darkness growing?

I couldn’t place the reason why I felt so safe with that in my mind, and why I felt so protected within those words. My mother always told me too listen to those voices, and follow their guidance. But what guidance can that rhyme give me?

Not Even I know, but I will do my best to follow guiding words to where I belong. My name is Laylay and that will do for now.
