-Zephyr's point of view-
I awoke ten minutes before my alarm goes off at 6:00 a.m. I pulled my covers off of me and walked to the bathroom. The shower itself, which is a glass box, was huge and I felt significantly small inside it. As the hot water hit my skin, it refreshed me. After a quick scrub of soap and shampoo, I turned off the shower and dried myself. I wiped the mirror off to see a blurry face. Without my glasses I was blind as a mole. I picked up my spare glasses by the sink and was finally able to focus on my current body. It was slowly losing muscle, but I wasn't getting chubby. I just needed to go to the gym.
I got dressed and had myself some cereal, an egg sandwich and some celery for breakfast. My attention turned to the bag that said 'Sugarcube corner' and it hit me like a ton of bricks. I was caught off guard by the storm, so I forgot to give the apple pie to my neighbor. I opened the bag, pulled out the box and opened it; the pie itself was still intact, even though I sprinted like a mother trucker to get back to the house. I was debating whether I should give the pie to the neighbor or... I shook my head and put the apple pie in the fridge, 'I need to do this now in order to be the new me.' I decided to review my course work again because it was still early. Around 8:00 a.m. I heard a commotion next door. It was all muffled through the wall, but I heard familiar voices. I heard that it was something to do with practicing near the park.
"I need to head to my house to get my instruments and I suppose you'll be doing the same?" A familiar country voice said.
I heard a collected yeps and yes's. The sounds of steps were heard as the group of four to five people went down the stairs. Then I heard a knock on the door and made my way to the entrance. When I opened the door, I saw a cross-eyed mail girl with blond hair and in a uniform with a bag that had seven bubbles stitched on the flap.
"Hello, my name it Ditzy Doo and I'm here to deliver your packages from Appleloosa, Mr. Zephyr Night." She said as two big guys brought some packages from the stairs.
"Where would you like these boxes?" He asked.
"How many do you have?" I wondered.
"Only four small boxes." Ditzy replied.
"I would like the boxes to be at the center of the room please." I said.
Ditzy handed me a clipboard, "Please sign here on the dotted line." She said.
I got the pen from my pocket, signed it and handed back the board to her, "Alright, bring them in." I said.
The two big guys brought in the packages and set them in the middle of the floor, then left by saying farewell and have a nice day. When the door closed, I grabbed a knife from the kitchen and cut the tape off the boxes. I found all of my personal belongings were inside all the boxes with a letter inside the first one. I opened the letter and read the contents:
Zephyr,
I know I could be using the phone, but I had to go on another mission in Saddle Arabia. You know how this works, I go on a mission, try to get back to spend time with you, but in reality it will EVENTUALLY happen. I spoke with your mother by an expensive cell phone call and told her about this. She demanded to know why I could of called you, but your apartment doesn't have a phone, but overall, she got angry and I really can't do anything about that. I might be rambling on, but I just want you to know that I love you sincerely and good luck on your transfer to the school. I hope you make a lot of friends and maybe a girlfriend.

P.S. Tell your mother that I am sorry about the call that dropped due to signal issues. I believe she thinks I hung up on her.
It is just as I said, my parents are very busy people and won't have enough time to spend with me, but when they try to attempt to get off of their work schedule, only one of them shows up. For example, like yesterday, Mother was able to show up to give me the key to my apartment. Another one is when Dad came to my birthday party, but had to leave in the evening because he was on call. This letter proves that my parents won't show up at the same time and this shut down my belief about the whole subject. I sighed, it usually gets me down when I think about this, but I decided to plop myself to the couch to watch the news program.
'Now here's your weather for today, Bob?' The screen turns to the weather man Bob who was wearing a bowler hat and spoke, 'The storm last night may have cause a little flooding down at Appleloosa, but over in Canterlot it was some wind damage overall. Today however, there will be clear skies and the temperature will be in the high 70's in the mid-afternoon, but the night however will be a nice 65 degrees for the low. It seems, for the rest of the week, the weather is going to be like this and it is not going to stop anytime soon. Back to you Tom.'
I immediately turn off the TV because all I wanted to know was the weather, not the current news. If the news is anything important like a disaster or an attack on our state capital, like it would even happen, I would watch it. Other than that, I really don't like the current news that they're putting out. I went to the kitchen, made myself some lunch, got out of my apartment and locked it behind me, and made my way towards the park for an afternoon stroll.
-Sunsets point of view-
The girls and I were waiting on Rarity, who was cleaning up after the storm, and we decided to clear up the stage because it was all messy. Fallen stereo systems, trash and recyclable items, lie across the floor. Before Pinkie was able to use her hair as a broom, I gave her an actual broom before she could mess it up. I saw that there were some twigs that had stabbed through the drum; I went to the provided closet, where Trixie trapped us, and got some duck tape. After I repaired the drums so they can at least last for the practice, I decided to hang out on the side of the stage and got the book out to write to Twilight. It has been a about a week since the Dazzling's incident and I personally haven't seen them at all after their failed attempt to take over the school. I grabbed out my pen, opened the book and began to write the letter.
Dear Princess Twilight,
Missing you already, hope you'll be back soon. Things are definitely looking up for me in Canterlot High. I know I still have a lot to learn about friendship. Hope you don't mind if I write for advice when I need it.

I didn't want to write about my crush on the Zephyr boy because it's personal and I didn't want to write about him at all. Though thinking about Zephyr made me think of the future. Such as giving him a tour of the school while he holds my hand and.... I closed the book, put it back into my pack and I heard Rainbow say something.
"You ready or what?" She asked.
I got to my feet as I put my guitar around my chest and walked towards the group. Rarity finally made it to the concert area and was already dressed with her keyboard in her hands.
"I'm ready." I said.
"Not dreaming about any boys while writing in the book are we?" Rarity smiled.
I shook my head, "No, I was writing to Twilight for when I need advice and no it wasn't about Zephyr." I stated as I crossed my arms.
She giggled and the girls did too, "Oh Sunset, we're only joking." Rarity said.
I sighed, "I know, but please don't make a habit of it."
"So, what are we going to play today for practice?" Pinkie asked.
"Um.. How about my song?" Fluttershy asked.
"Alright Flutter's, what's it called?" Applejack wondered.
"It's Rainbow Rocks." She said turning to the page in her book.
"Let me see!" Rainbow said snatching the book off of her hands and read the contents, "I like it! Everybody, let's review and play this."
She passed around the book and there were compliments to Fluttershy about the song. We memorized the song as we tuned our instruments for it. Finally, I gave a nod to Rainbow as well as everyone else. This was a signal that we're ready to start the song and we all looked at Pinkie as she smiled.
"One, two, three, four!" She shouted tapping her drum sticks.

When the last instrument did it's last tune, I stretched as I took off the guitar and looked at my fingers, that were slightly hardened. I had this problem before, but when I put on some skin moisturizer, they were back to normal and it lasted for the rest of the day. Going to my pack, I felt around in the inside of it and the lotion wasn't there. I clicked my tongue, zipped my pack as I leaned my guitar against the stereo and walked to Rarity.
"Rarity, do you happen to have that skin moisturizer in your purse? I forgot to bring some from my apartment." I said.
She put aside her keyboard and walked to her purse, which was on another stereo to the other end of the stage. Rarity looked through her purse, grabbed the lotion and tossed it towards my direction. I caught it, but nearly dropped it because the lotion dripped on top of the bottle.
"You can keep it, because I have a whole bunch at home and I've already used it." She said.
I smiled, "Thanks Rarity." I said squirting the lotion on my palm. The soothing moisture against my hands as they mixed into my skin felt amazing. I rubbed the lotion against my hands and it was dry after the lotion was applied. Now my hands, specifically my fingers, weren't hardened and now I can play several more rounds of songs. I wish we had this kind of lotion in Equestria; it would of probably work on my hooves or even my fur because when I was there last, I would always chip my hoof and only magic could cure it. This lotion can prevent harden fingers and when there is a broken nail it prevents it from getting infected. It saved Rarity on a few occasions when she suddenly broke a nail, for different reasons and the lotion really does work. I believe this product is from Dr. OrSid Industries, I haven't heard of them before, but my friends told me that their a business that sells different items from Technology to house hold items. They even have a store several blocks away from the school. After admiring my hands for a while, my ears picked up the conversation of what song to play next.
"What's next?" Applejack asked.
"Shine like Rainbows?" Rarity asked.
"Oh! I like that one." Fluttershy commented.
"Yeah! Let's do that!" Rainbow said.
"Let's get a move on then!" Pinkie said tapping her drum sticks.
"Alright, just wait for me to get ready." I said putting my guitar around my chest and grabbed the microphone, "I'm ready." I nodded. Everyone else gave the nod of approval to Pinkie to start her thing.
"One, two, three, four!" Pinkie shouted.
-Zephyr's point of view-
When I got to the park, that was across the street, I took in all the scenery that was in front of me. Even though the storm passed through yesterday, the plants, trees, bushes and land weren't littered by any trash that was thrown around by the wind. I noticed a sign that said 'No Littering or get fined to a minimum of $500'. 'I guess that everybody follows the rules, which is fine.' I thought. It was true, Appleloosa was the same at the cherry orchard and apple orchard because they're litter free and if anybody tried to drop trash, they would have to do unpaid labor work for 24 hours as punishment.
'Maybe I could go to that concert where the neighbors are going.' I thought. I stopped at a fork in the road and there was a sign in the middle pointing to different directions. 'Open-air Concert' is to the right, 'Park Exit' is to the left and I turned to the right to head towards the concert. As I walked, I looked at the sky and wondered what was going to happen to me when I get to the school. I've already went through this when I was doing homework. As I was doing that my dreams were mostly about me hooking up with that girl.
*SLAM!*
The front of my body crashed into a wall. "Ow." I said through the wall. I stepped back and rubbed my nose to make sure I wasn't bleeding. My eyes focus on the sign, that was above me and it said 'Open-air Concert: Open for anyone.' 'Well that was a short trip.' I thought. I look to my left and the entrance was there. I walked through the entrance, poked my head out the other side to see if there was anybody around. There was no audience to see as I panned my head towards the stage to see six girls with their instruments. It would seem that they were about to play a song. To what amazed me is that I met these girls yesterday: Pinkie, Fluttershy, Rainbow, Applejack and Rarity. My eyes then lay upon another girl and it was the same girl that I saw at the Pizzeria with a guitar over her shoulder and microphone in her hand. I felt my heart quicken when I got a second look at her. Her beauty and cuteness should be illegal around this area. The realization of her being friends with the other girls almost made me faint. I made acquaintances to girls whom are friends with the girl I am crushing on.
"I'm ready." She said.
The beautiful voice broke my ears and I swear to the stars that they were bleeding hearts of pure joy. I think I may have a disease that I don't want to cure. I saw them nod towards Pinkie and she smiled.
"One, two, three, four!" She shouted.

During the song, I felt my brain, heart and soul were one. The originality of the song, the way it sound, it was somehow harmonious. I know it sounds cheesy, but it was so true though. The only time I felt that my body were one was when I had discovered heavy metal music at the beginning of Middle School. By the stars, has it been that long since I had that feeling? I really wouldn't know, but what I do know is that I found my new band that I can become a fan in. I just need to ask what band they're called. Now that I'm thinking about it, I was still hidden away and my mind process didn't let me duck back behind the wall. I didn't think about it ahead of time as I stepped out passed the bleachers, trying to mind my own business and walked towards the stage.
I felt my heart was beating ten times faster when I took a step forward and when I approached the stage I noticed that the girl was looking at me. 'To late to turn back now.' I thought.
I tried to start a conversation, "H-Hello." I choked.
The girls stopped their conversation, turned their headed to me and to my surprise, they smiled. Maybe it was because I met them individually? I didn't know, but I saw Rarity step forward.
"Why hello darling? Did you happen to listen to our main performance?" She asked.
I nodded, "Yes, it was unlike anything I've ever heard of. It sounds harmonic for some reason."
I saw several of them turning their eyes to another direction and Applejack in particular coughed, "Sorry, swallowed an' air bubble." She said..
"No problem, I ran into those myself." I said, but turn my attention to the girl.
'Alright, don't get embarrassed and try to be cool... Easier said than done.' I thought. "H-Hi, my name is Zephyr. I've met your friends, Pinkie, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, and Rainbow. What's your name?" I asked.
I saw her cheeks blush as she put her hand to grab her left arm, "Um..."
Then I saw Rarity walk up to her and she looks at me, "Sorry about that darling, she didn't get enough to drink before our practice and is a bit parched at the moment. She'll get talking after I'm finished with her." She said pulling the girl by the hand and walking to the nearest water fountain.
Pinkie just then popped right in front of me, "Hi!"
I jumped so high that I was already on the stage, which was a 4-5 feet high from the bleachers and I got a giggle from the pinked hair girl. I calm myself down as I took a deep breath, "I think I'm going to have a heart attack if you keep that up Pinkie." I mean seriously, I don't even know what this girl is thinking and yet we're talking like were old friends.
"Sorry about that, it's just Pinkie being Pinkie." Rainbow said.
"Eeyup." Applejack nodded, "You can't explain it either, it's just Pinkie Pie."
I continued the conversation, "So, are you guys in a band or something?"
"Um... We're called the Rainbooms." Fluttershy said.
'So that's why the girl named the 'Rainbooms' order in the Pizzeria.' I thought. It kind of made sense because if they were a band, they would of had parties and the ordered pizza was evident.
"How long ago since the band was put together?" I asked.
"Well, if you need to know, it started when a friend pulled back our broken friendship back together and had to leave due to moving issues. I decided to form the band after that and the rest is musical history." Rainbow explained.
The rest of us decided to continue the conversation to keep my mind wondering about the girl, to whom I don't know the name of. I kind of wondered what kind of person she is, but that question faded when I talked to her friends.
-Sunset's point of view-
Rarity took me away from Zephyr as we made our way towards the back of the concert. She let go of my hand as she crossed her arms and wasn't too impressed of what I've done.
"What was that back there?" She asked.
"Uh... A boy trying to ask who I was?" I asked sheepishly.
"More like you nearly fainted and choked on your own day dreaming." Rarity exclaimed.
"What do you mean?" I asked. Did I really almost faint? Or was I day dreaming about him right in front of me? I really don't know what to think, my mind is scattered due to Zephyr.
She lightly puts her hand on her forehead, "By the stars, it's worse than I thought." She puts her body against the wall, trying to fan herself dramatically and this made me rise an eyebrow.
"I'm confused Rarity... what is going on?" I asked.
"You're in love with a boy you barely know and you already have love sickness." She explained.
"Love sickness?"
"You're in love with Zephyr so much that you can't function properly. Did this happen a lot in Equestria?" She asked.
I shook my head, "It has never happened to me and besides I don't know what it was like to love in Equestria." I crossed my arms.
"Sunset, I am going to help you out with your problem."
"I don't want to be a burden on your part Rarity." I said.
"Are we friends, Sunset?" She questioned.
"Yes, of course." I said.
"Then let me help you in your need because that is what friends do." She smiled.
"I don't even know what to even say, but thanks Rarity."
"It's no problem at all, now don't worry about anything. You will start with the basic's, just introduce yourself and try not to freeze or day dream." She points her finger towards me.
"Alright, but it I have to ask: have you been through this situation before?" I asked.
She blushed, "Well, a lady has done her reading on novels and this situation is on par with it."
I smiled, "Alright Rarity, what do I do?"
It's only been less than thirty minutes, but I was able to understand what Rarity was trying to say to me. 'Just take a deep breath an tell yourself to be confident. No one is judging you when you're talking to another person that you like in particular. Most of all be passionate.' Her teachings repeated in my head, which were great to remind myself if I was in a pickle. Rarity told me the basics of how a person that they're interested in would talk to them. I really don't get the term of 'hard to get'. Equestria kind of had that feature, but it was considered rude for anypony. I decided to follow her teachings, but I was going to act myself so that I could show that I was in control. When Rarity and I got back to the group, they were currently chatting with Zephyr.
"... Yeah, I am going to transfer to Canterlot High for the next quarter of the semester." He nodded his head towards Applejack.
"I believe you'll need a tour around the school." Her eyes glance at me as she points towards me, "This girl will be able to do that for you." She said.
Zephyr turns his attention to me and I almost freeze into position, but was elbowed by Rarity, "Uh... Yes, I am the tour guide for new students that transfer from overseas for a while or for permanent student transfers. My name is Sunset Shimmer and it is a pleasure to meet you Zephyr." I reached out my hand.
I saw his cheeks blush a little when he glanced at my hand, but smiled and gladly shook my hand. 'Ohmygosh, ohmygosh, ohmygosh! It's working!!' I cheered internally. Rainbow coughed and it made me realize that we were shaking our hands for a little while longer, we then let go of our hands and smiled at one another.
"So, I guess school starts tomorrow?" He asked trying to ease the awkwardness.
"Y-Yeah, in about 14 hours school will be in session." I answered.
He looked at his watch and click his tongue, "Sunset, Rarity, Rainbow, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Pinkie: it's been fun, but I have to head back home for today. See you at school I guess." He said getting up and taking his leave.
"It's nice to see you Zephyr." Applejack said.
"It was fun talking!" Pinkie cheered.
"Talking about soccer made me want to practice a lot more, thanks for the tips man." Rainbow thanked.
"Talking about the animals in Appleloosa was nice to hear from you." She said.
"Sorry for not joining on the conversation, darling, but I'll see you at school tomorrow." Rarity waved.
"I guess I'll catch to tomorrow, Zephyr." I said patting his shoulder.
He nods with a smile, "Catch you all tomorrow." He said walking out of the stage and out to the park.
When he was out of sight, I sighed in relief and felt my cheeks burning because my imagination was running wild of scenarios of Zephyr and I in dates. Though I heard some snickering in the background and I turned to see that all of my friends were smirking except for Pinkie and Fluttershy. I cross my arms and sighed again.
"OK, so I might have taken a liking to Zephyr." I admitted.
"Oh! So she admits it, eh?" Rainbow comments.
"Well shoot, it's great for you to admit that sugarcube." Applejack said knowing that she kept my promise a secret until I said anything.
I blush, but I felt Rarity's hand on my shoulder, "You did well, Sunset. Will you be fine touring Zephyr tomorrow?" She asked.
I nod, "I'll use your teachings to get me through this, besides, I never felt this way before in my entire life. It is something really special." I said.
"That must be so romantic." Fluttershy commented.
"Must be because I don't understand any of it!" Pinkie said while playing the drums on a random tune.
Applejack shook her head, "It doesn't matter what we do or don't understand, its that Sunset is falling in love." She smirked.
I blushed and got my both hands to cover my cheeks, 'L-L-L-Love? Oh by the stars!!! That must be!' I thought. Calm down Sunset, just take a deep breath and head home for the night. It has been a long exhausting night, but it will be exciting tomorrow to say the least. I felt my cheeks turn to normal as I grab my stuff to get ready to go.
"I think I'm going to head out as well. I need to think on a few things." I said.
"You have a nice rest, darling. You deserve it." Rarity said.
"Yeah, like she said, but in a-" Rainbow got a thunk on the head by Applejack's bass, "Hey!"
"Careful what you say, you varmint!" Applejack hissed, but continued, "Have a nice day sugarcube." She said.
"Goodnight Sunset." Pinkie and Fluttershy say at the same time.
I waved and walked back to my apartment, hoping to sleep fast so I can meet up with Zephyr tomorrow.
