Fallout Equestria Operation Restoration

Chapter 1: A Wakeup Call
          
   "Every day is a day to do something better silly!"

Ring Ring Ring ... There went the alarm,  like it did  every other day of the week, month and year, and like every other day, I got up. "To the mirror  Atlas" I said quietly to not startle my bunk mate Aurora Beam, I had to get up at 2 o'clock,she didn't have to get up till 7'o clock, lucky bastard , I thought to myself.  I went to the bathroom to check how I looked,  it was very important for the person wearing a helmet all day long to comb their hair apparently. When you live in a stable made to stimulate a city and had a job you must look good doing it, my job was terrain repair and mapping, it was my job to use a building mega spell to build something if someone had a worthy building request.  I also handle repairs and
hand out the city's layout map if I change it.

I heard Aurora Beam wake up as I trotted  down the hall  "MORNING EARLY BIRD,"she yelled to get my attention.                                                                                                                                         

"Morning"  I said in my groggy voice. I looked in the mirror, I had a tangled mess of short, red and neon green hair I got to combing it while scanning myself I still had my same red coat.... same cutie mark, a tracking device.  Almost useless to city stable C1, exactly why I am a mapper.

Aurora Beam walked in and said "You look just fine At," with a grin, she knew I hated that nickname.                                                                         

"That is only something my mother could call me Aurora",                                                          

"Atlas" she said " Your mother is dead... but you don't have to be afraid of losing another mare if they call you that,  it ain't your fault ".                           

I frowned, then thought and finally  I grinned and said "You know what? You are right Aurora known me so long you've earned the right". "About time Atlas, been your friend for 7 years, now get out of here, I need to get my wings ready to clear the skies for my auroras." That is what Aurora Beam does, creates the light show fireworks can't replicate, I envy her.

"Gotta go place location spikes, changing the layout!" I said as I trotted out the door.

"Bye Atlas" Aurora said.
I placed the location spikes all around the city and headed to the mappers office. 

I put on the mega spell infused helmet and swapped out town hall for a convention center. Many fillies and colts went to the yearly steampunk convention so they could get away from Stable Tec Intelligence centers "why not just call them schools?" I muttered. I watched as town hall evaporated and the center appear from thin air, I also added a steam pony statue just to see the extra smiles.  
My pipbuck vibrated as a message from Beam, Aurora appeared: meet me for some food at Cupcakes Care 
Bakery  at 11:30, Aurora. Ok that was the most ominous message I had ever received, but I trust Aurora and met her there. 

"Go walk off the edge of the city " she said, and i did,I trotted off the edge and saw the usual glow ,but you can't fall off the edge of the stable, you just step on invisible tiles so there is no point. 

" What was the point of that" I asked curiously. 

"Y'know how we always wanted to leave the stable?" Aurora said. 

"More than anything"I replied.

"Turns out that  glow in the center of the low level is the
Overmare office,and you can surface it using that building megaspell inside that helmet of yours."

Aurora filled me in on her genius plan to use my layout change ability to reveal the Overmare office  so we can open the stable door and live freely."Only if you perform first " I said.

  Aurora sighed "okay ".


Aurora performed at 12:00 removing the simulated clouds and showing off her aurora contrail for the last time. Goddess
.she looked so beautiful  and graceful with her purple coat, black mane and green tipped wings and hooves I was probably drooling on sight! When the performance was over I fled  to the map room and revealed the Overmare's office and a metallic pony  inside, no...not any metallic pony ,but the elusive Overmare herself! I saw Aurora heading towards the office. I  ran to security's gun closet and picked forced the lock open with telekinesis . I grabbed  a shotgun and saddle bag  for myself. 

I galloped as fast as I could to the office, almost shooting myself because of lack of control while over exerted . When I arrived I heard what sounded like lasers going off in the office and peeked around the corner as Aurora got shot by the beam and hit the floor. Suddenly the Overmare spoke in a screechy voice that a bat could talk with "poor Aurora Beam,  so much unused potential, too bad I have to kill you now". Aurora whimpered "Atlas, please hurry."  the Overmare began to crush Aurora's windpipe. The  fight began when I threw a can at the  wall so the Overmare would walk away, I walked up behind The Overmare  and blew seventeen twelve gauge shots into  the Overmare's  back. Blood exploded when the seventeenth  shot split through the flimsy rusted armor into a pony back causing blood to burst everywhere. 

Following the murder of The Overmare  I rushed to Aurora's side and cried 
"Are you all right?"  Aurora coughed up blood and smiled as she said "I'm going to die Atlas. ...if you love me, and I know you do,  she paused you'll kill me quickly. "  

"Aurora no, no, NO I promise, I won't let you die " I stammered  as a purple vial rolled out of an overturned table "Aurora that- that purple stuff will heal you " I said feeding it to her. Aurora coughed and began to leak blood severely but when the potion emptied the bleeding stopped Aurora croaked " How did you know that?" 

"I read it in the pre war medical book in the library. " I said triumphantly, "Sometimes reading helps. "
I said quietly cradling her until she could  stand  on all four hooves.


I took the stable door code as we left. I didn't realize till we left the office that every other buck, mare , filly and colt were watching. In my loudest voice I yelled "WE ARE OPENING THE STABLE, YOU ARE FREE IF YOU WISH TO BE!". "Are you ready Aurora?" I asked in concern. 

"Yes" was  all I need to hear  from Aurora as I sat her down, still not able to walk well next to me.  I entered the Overmare code into a terminal  and the cog- shaped  door appeared and opened to the Night sky . The other stable ponies wandered off into a world of broken cities, non stable ponies, and  a sky  that didn't scare Aurora or I, we just started staring at it.

I turned to Aurora and smiled,  she smiled back and I said "it is so... beautiful, don't  you thi- ", and I was cut off by the beautiful pegasus kissing me it felt good , but then Aurora let me go and said "Yes it is, Atlas.". We camped back in the stable but instead of the norm of falling asleep at curfew we talked until Aurora fell asleep in my hooves,then I did the same. 

The next day I woke up with my head in warm liquid, I really hoped I hadn't stress vomited due to yesterday's events. I sat up to look at the liquid, it was a bright red and it was coming from Aurora's mouth.lots of it. "Holy Shit!" I yelled as I attempted to wake Aurora up. She opened her eyes and as I levitated her she coughed blood right in my face, she began to choke on the blood prompting me to perform the Heimlich maneuver as she threw up more and more blood, until she passed out. Aurora was still barely alive but if I didn't get her to a medic fast she might end up dead.                                               
    

 I was just entering a town marked New Pegas on my pipbuck and it was correct, in glued together neon lights it wrote exactly that. I had heard of Las Pegasus in history class in C-1, but New Pegas?, probably established by outsiders. When I finally made it through the gates I was greeted by strip clubs, bars, and sex slave depots. Halfway to the inner city I was stopped by two over the top drunk stallions. The stallion with the black coat asked me, "How much for the Pegasus mare"?                               

"She isn't for sale" I said. The two stallions got closer and closer until they were right in front of me.                                                                                       

"Then can we just do her and bring her back?" the drunks asked as the one in the white coat pulled a gun from his bag 

"Give her to us or die and let us take her" the white one said as I levitated out my shotgun. The stallions shrank back and ran, " Don't ever let me catch you asking for mare trade ever again" I yelled as they ran down the street.                                                                       


"You've done good Atlas" Aurora said regaining consciousness  just before raising her voice and saying " the only stallion that'll ever be inside me is this one right here!"                       


Aurora made my cheeks turn redder than my coat that time "Aurora, let's not go there until we've found a doctor" I said. We walked until Aurora asked " Wanna grab drinks?"                  "Sure" I replied as we walked into  a place called The Cellar, and sure enough, it looked like a cellar except in stables they were metal and didn't hold anything stronger than 1% alcohol beverages. Here they had Wild Pegasus, Red Hoof and many others alcoholic beverages."Wait...... what is their currency?" I asked.

Aurora frowned then walked to a table said a few words, and a stallion came over and payed for two Red Hoof beers, with bottle caps?. Aurora then smacked the stallion and turned to me,"Cheers"she said  before trotting over to a table.

She seemed to have regained some strength I thought  as I sat down beside her. "How are you feeling?" I asked her.                                                 

  Aurora seemed to think on it before saying "I feel way better than I did this morning, but I feel like I have a bone lodged in my throat." Aurora drank her glass and went to pour another when she freaked out and screamed "BURNS"  and began to sob, and bleed... again.                                                                     


I tried to pick out the blood with my telekinesis but I just couldn't do it, I was only good at levitating solid objects and tracking, it was all I needed until now. I panicked and asked"Is anyone here capable of healing an internal injury?" A stallion with a brown mane and a black coat  about my age stepped out of the crowed and trotted over to where I was standing over Aurora and motioned for me to bring Aurora and follow him. I didn't necessarily trust this stallion, but his cutie mark was healing supplies and he was our only hope. Aurora attempted to talk but the stallion said " Talking will only kill you faster." We picked up into a run as Aurora began to leak blood like in the stable.We arrived as Aurora passed out,  the stallion opened the door and let me in I then asked "where should I put her?" The stallion pointed to a machine with many tubes and needles. " You gonna hook her up to that?" I said concerned for the welfare of Aurora.


"Don't worry about it I just hook her up this autodock and after a few hours she'll be good as new, if you can get me the final piece I need."

I sighed "what does it look like, where can I get it, and is there anything I should know before I jump right in to retrieve it?"

"You would find it in a prototype tech testing facility under a Robronco facility just north of here, there are sentries active all over with beam guns and it is in a rad-zone". I didn't want to hear any more of this bullshit turned to leave and he said " here, take these,"  he said tossing a bottle of pills and a pack of orange liquid " to prevent getting irradiated take the pills, if you get radiated drink the pouch." As I left he said "my name is Archimedes, it comes from a scientist from ancient pony times." I nodded and left.

It was a five hour walk to the facility and I saw no other civilization for miles, not one pony. I walked mindlessly for about two hours until I came across a group of ponies who were fighting over something red. I looked closer to see the carcass of a stallion  that had been eviscerated and had its guts drained out. I gagged and pulled out my shotgun, one mare looked over and screamed inaudibly to the others as if they were full blown animals. I panicked and realized a actual use for the S.A.T.S function on my pipbuck, I entered S.A.T.S when they got close and toggled one shot to all 4 four ponies each one slowly causing pink mush to come out the back of their skulls. When I had finished killing them I realized there was one more crazy pony I had to deal with so, by instinct I yelled at the top of my lungs " COME AND GET IT YOU BIG FUCK!" I had made a mistake saying that because  as the stallion charged and, my shotgun jammed. Are You serious ? I thought to myself bracing for impact as the stallion knocked us down hill.

We rolled down the hill taking hits at each other until I saw a axe in a tree somewhere down the hill and used my magic to bring it up and slice his head right off his neck, " heh, big fuck"I said as  I  galloped full speed up the hill to be the camp, when I got back up the hill I saw that these psychos had weapons that would have killed  me in an instant. "Why didn't they use the guns?"

"Because they were too far gone to understand guns," said a raspy voice "they had the raider disease bad" he continued. I looked over to see the eviscerated  pony without. I screamed and smacked it's head off, but for a few minutes it  sustained life and told me about ghouls and how many ghouls were feral and few like him lived until they got killed. "Thanks for killing me" his head said as he smiled before dying.

I am officially the biggest asshole around I thought to myself as I buried his burnt body, and head. When I finished burying him I took a few guns from these psychos, " let's see what guns these guys had" I said before going through their stash.  Inside were rifles, automatics, saddles for guns and one interesting smg called the "pre war penance", it was a gun that hadn't been modified since the war and kept all its original parts with one interesting piece on the front. The piece seemed to be used for grinding high speed bullets to make them more powerful....the only problem is the psychos busted it up and it needed repairs. I grabbed a sniper rifle and two smgs along with the pre war penance they all showed up in my pipbuck along with something else called the Tartarus' curse. I would go through my bags later, but now I had to get moving.

About ten minutes later I arrived at the Robronco facility and loaded my smgs while sneaking in the front door. Everything was going well until I turned a corner and was face to face with a sentry. I let loose a bullet rain on it, the guns did nothing to the sentry but the huge guns he brought out of his back might be extremely lethal. I ran for cover as beams of pure energy nearly seared my hide off, more sentries were coming out of hiding, they shot at me for until I heard a click as a pomegranate shape came behind my shield and blew up sending me sprawling on the ground. I ran in constant circles around the facility evading the beams until I saw a huge opening in the back of the facility as a sentry ten times my size with miniguns attached to its sides fire bullets so fast I had to move with a metal desk in front of me, from behind the desk I saw a door to the left of the sentry, dropped the desk and ran like there was hell following me and made it across with only a few minigun bullets in my flank that hurt like hell, but I wasn't dead.....which was a good thing.


Halfway down the steps to the testing facilities I got a headache as a voice flashed through my mind whispering "your destiny has changed my little pony". "What in the... my destiny? Your cutie mark decides partially how your life goes, and that cannot change, can it?" I asked myself while trotting down the stairs. When I arrived at the bottom of the steps I saw holding cells filled with ponies who reeked of years of bodily fluid that had built up, then I saw the sign "Pleasure Factory" and understood that this is where those ponies would have sold Aurora. I have never been more disgusted in my life. I snuck to the nearest cell and asked a mare "who runs this place?," the mare lifted a hoof and pointed to a door  that had obscene sounds that I had never heard when I, or anyone else I had ever heard during sex . ever. I walked over to the door and loaded my dual smgs and busted it open with my back hooves and screamed "OUT OF BED YOU SEX FIEND!" A stallion pulled himself out of a mare that had been crying for what seemed like hours before I arrived. The mare looked about 15, she was underage and she had been violated, this stallion was getting hurt.

"What, you want in?," he said pointing his hoof at the mare. I slammed three rounds into his hoof and he pulled out a pistol, but I slammed another three rounds into his hoof, this time the one keeping him balanced and before he could fire he hit the ground.

I ran at the stallion and tackled him pinning him to the floor. I turned to  ask the mare " How bad did he hurt you hon?," the mare was in shock but spread her hooves apart to show the pain he had caused her. "Okay hon " I said before hitting the stallion with my smg and stating "I'll hurt him real bad for you" the  mare nodded and ran. "I should shove this gun up your ass right now" I said quietly before hitting him 7 times with both guns before he passed out.


I left after the stallion passed out and opened the cages the mare had not opened and let the mares and even some stallions talk for a while. 

Eventually a mare came over can sat next to me "Hiya, I'm Hope" she said in a kind, sweet sounding voice, "Is the warden dead?

"I'm Atlas and, no" I said quietly to not let others know "I want one of you to finish him, you need to get revenge for the suffering he caused. "

Hope took off the hood she wore to reveal matted yellow hair with black tips and a green coat and a unicorn horn. "Why did you come here?" Hope asked curiously. 

"I came looking for a autodock part to repair my friends throat.," I said  to her.

Hope continued talking "Ah, you just walked down here I suppose,  and you found us, why did you save us?"

"Because I don't need a book from the goddesses to tell me rape is fucked up." I said trying to make a joke.

Hope chuckled "Well what do you plan to do next, now that the big bucks know that you're out to kill them?" she asked her expression becoming serious.

"Big bucks?" I asked.

"Yeah you know, the head of all slave trade since Red Eye, Anarchy, he's big, bad and doesn't take kindly to people who disrupt trade?" Hope asked as she tilted her head.

"Shit, I'm on his bad list aren't I? " I asked resting my head on my hooves.

"You tell me, you're the one with radio access" Hope pointed to my pipbuck .

I flipped through the channels until I found Anarchy radio."This is a warning to that asshole who captured a trade station near Las Pegas.  I am coming for you and if you don't come to me before I come to you Las Pegas will lie in flames,  you have one week to get to the heart of the Crystal Empire and face your fate and if you don't, BOOM hehe good luck 'hero'." The voice cut out. 

"You aren't from around here, are you?" Hope said.

"You can't tell? " I asked. Hope brought out a broken mirror.Looking at myself realizing that my stable gear had been destroyed, coated with blood and my hair singed."I fit right in with wastelanders don't I?" 

"Yep" Hope said, "Where you from, a stable?" Hope continued asking curiously.

"Yes actually I am." I said frowning.

Her eyes widened "You escaped from the stable yesterday, didn't you?"

"Had to shoot a half robot Overmare in two to get out here." I said. ""And now I'm being threatened by possibly the most powerful pony in the wastes.Yay." I said sarcastically.

"You have a fight a fight, I'm taking these mares to New Pegas, when we get  there you heal your friend and then I will accompany you to the Empire to deal with each guerilla and every firefight to continue the lightbringer's legacy of killing slavers and then, who knows what." Hope said not giving me any other choice. "We are leaving now okay?"

"Wait,first how do you kill robot ponies up to ten times your size?" I asked remembering the robots. 

Hope rifled through a desk marked emergencies and found a pack of rectangular blue boxes and said "these are mines, throw them near the robots and pull the detonator, it'll destroy the bots." Hope said.

I snuck out before the mares left and planted the mines,hit the button and heard the robotic shrieks followed by a loud crash that I assumed was the big robot.

The walk to New Pegas was peaceful and when we arrived I told Hope to  meet me at Archimedes' medical care facility and we split paths . When I arrived Archimedes told me "you are screwed, you know that?" "Not  only did you go to the wrong facility,  now you have a city to defend, and you can't defend it. "

"I still got your part." I said tossing him the piece I had stolen on the way out.

Archimedes was confused "wha, how- there are others? Nevermind, but now hold on while I install this piece."

"Yeah, ok " I said  sitting down  waiting for Archimedes to finish. 

About ten minutes later Archimedes came back and said "I'm going with you to the Empire . You'll need someone to repair you if you get messed up." Archimedes pulled two snipers out of his closet he shot  ten rounds from each gun then a glow  appeared as two round mags floated out of the snipers and two more jumped in without any unicorn magic . Archimedes beag me to the punch "The snipers are enchanted, they make for fast fire and they're silent."

"That is really weird." I said staring at the snipers. 

Archimedes bolted them to a saddle and put it on his back and the saddle the snipers were attached to extended so he didn't have to hold them."All I have to do is aim and bite." Archimedes said.

Hope arrived an hour later with a revolver holstered next to her head "need a firearm right?" Hope said checking her ammo."Who is this?" Hope asked looking to Archimedes.

"I'm Archimedes, you are? Archimedes answered.

"Hope, nice ta meet you Archimedes, you helping him too?" Hope asked.

"Yes, how did you meet Atlas Hope?" Archimedes asked.

"I..... was a slave." Hope said hanging her head.

"Sorry." Archimedes said.

" It's fine." Hope replied.

"We need to get rest." I said." We'll be leaving for the Empire at dawn."

The two agreed and found a cozy place to rest.A few hours later Archimedes tapped me on the shoulder and motioned to the room where Aurora was healing."Lets disconnect your friend and wake her up." Archimedes said as we walked over to the room.

Once inside I saw the autodock and Aurora Beam hooked up to it. Archimedes typed a few things into the console and then many wires retracted. Aurora began to stir."Holy crap,  what a rush.I nearly died!" Aurora said bouncing around "I cheated death, I cheated death!" Aurora continued "Thanks Archimedes!"

"How did you know my name? " asked Archimedes.

"I overheard it while unconscious!" Aurora said slowing down "Now I need to rest some."Aurora  said nudging me. 

I went and layed down and wrapped my hooves around Aurora and whispered "I'll fill you in tomorrow, but for now we rest" I said before falling asleep.
