//------------------------------// // Libraries Do Have Adventures! // Story: A Man and his Ponies // by Tower of 0 //------------------------------// Justin was already walking at a brisk power walking pace through the streets of Ponyville. Weaving between ponies as Fudge was almost having a struggle keeping up with her human role model at this point. The only time he had ever been in this type of a rush was when he was late to open the shop that one time. Only once. He never really knew how far Twilight's library was until now. Justin huffed and came to a halt, turning his head to look down at Fudge. He quickly scooped the filly up into his arms and bolted down the lane. His normal weaving antics were bumped up to swirling around ponies and jumping over them as if he was some sort of track athlete. Cutting his travel time down to mere minutes before he had to come to a skidding halt at the door. Justin was slightly panting now as he set his filly down and took a moment to take in what precious breaths of air he could muster. He then straightened himself back out and knocked on the slightly discolored red door to Golden Oaks. The door opened slightly and the mare he'd been looking for popped her head out. "What do you want?" Twilight asked, looking to the human with sheer disgust. "I was wondering about a certain book I could possibly look at.. maybe you might have it on your shelves somewhere?" Justin fibbed with a convincing smile. Twilight just looked at him. "What book is it?" "I dunno recall the name," Justin scratched his head in feigned confusion, "but I remember the cover if you'd allow me to look" Twilight just rolled her eyes and opened the door further while stepping off to the side to allow him through. Justin put on the toothy grin and ducked through the door as Fudge followed him in. The human took a few steps in and finally was able to stand up properly. The libray was only one of the few building he could actually stand n without having to be at some sort of awkward angle. Twilight just watched him closely as he went to one of the shelves and began to look at each one. She was hoping that he would find the book quickly and leave. He continued to nonchalantly look at each book on an entire shelf. Occasional 'hmms' and 'oohs' leaving him as he looked at the titles. "So..." Justin finally broke out, "... Heard from AJ lately?" "Who?" "AHA!" Justin exclaimed as he launched the book he was holding at the mare. "DAMN FAKE!" The book hit the fake Twilight and she stumbled back a bit from the force of the book smashing against her face before falling to the floor with a dull thud. A growl and her horned flickered on, then a snarl sent the aura to a deep green. Justin crossed his arms across his chest with a determined smirk. "So a changeling taking the place of an Element of Harmony, eh?" Justin asked as he stood there. "Fudge... would you kindly step outside for me please? I have a feeling this may result in some... indecisive actions." Fudge gulped and nodded, leaving the human's side and slipped out the door. The Twilight copy discharged a magic blast from her horn and flew across the room. Justin reacted a second too late as the blast hit him squarely in the stomach. He hunched over with a groan. Soon straightening up again and looking at his shirt. "Awww..." Justin whined out at the big singe mark surrounding a gaping hole. "This was my favorite shirt! Rarity made this for me, you bastard.." Then he lept at the changeling. Fudge looked to the slightly ajar door as her ears perked up at the sound of something falling to the floor. With curiosity about her, the filly cautiously approached the door and peeked in. She saw Justin holding the changeling down with his body as he... tickled it. The changeling squirming and giggling away under the wrath of the human's fingers. It legs kicking out. Fudge couldn't help but smile at the spectacle. "Wells, given withs my dad." Justin stopped, holding the changeling to the ground as a mile spread across his face from the filly's last word. Dad, and implication that signaled warm fuzzies from deep within his chest. Then he looked down to the changeling, who was still in its Twilight Sparkle disguise, with a grin. "Alrighty, Twilight Fake, you're going to tell me where the real Sparkle is or suffer the wrath of my human-y fingers." Justin demanded rather gleefully. The changeling just looked up and spit in his face. Justin wiped off his cheek and decked the changeling's snout, rendering the prisoner unconscious, reverting back to its original state. "Wrong answer." He turned to his daughter now and warmly smiled at her. Fudge had no idea what just happened since she was looking at a decor piece in the room.... It didn't really take Justin to find the misplace librarian. Turned out Twilight and Spike were being cooped up downstairs in some strange pods that the man had no trouble busting them out of. Once coming to again, Twilight's brain started to go in overdrive when she realized that a certain human was back in Equestria, where she believed he shouldn't be. Blubbering one about how he sent him back and that he shouldn't be here. "Twilie-" Justin tried to interject, but stopped when a hoof was pointed at him. Twilight just kept blubbering on as the man sat on the floor with a huff. It wasn't until fifteen minutes passed by about her lecturing about the balance of whatever it was (Justin just zoned her out at that point), He lightly smacked her. It didn't hurt, but it was enough to make her stop and look at him. "Look, Twilie, I came back because of things that happened. I had a hunch it wasn't you with you're sudden hostility towards me." Justin said briefly. Twilight looked at the faintly groaning changeling on the floor and back to Justin. "Then what did you do to it?" "Oh, that... well, I asked where you were, spat in my face, so I decked it in the shnozz!" Justin replied with a grin. The changeling gasped awake and shot up into a human-like sitting position. Taking one quick glance at the human and squeaking as it it back itself into a corner. Twilight just curiously looked over at the changeling then to Justin. He looked back and shrugged her shoulders before hopping up to his feet. "Well, I think more tickles are in order." Justin said with a smile and looked to the changeling. The changeling eeped out again and tried making an escape only to be taken down again by the human. It burst into a fit of giggles as the man sat upon the bug-like pony and assaulted its sides with merciless tickleage. Twilight couldn't help it, but she smiled and shook her head at Justin's rather up-top antics. The changeling kept trying to get a break, gasping for what air it could before freeing itself to some extent. "All right! All right! I'll talk!" With that, Justin smiled and stopped trying to tickle the loose changeling. "Then we shall go to Paradise City!" Justin put a hand on the table with a loud smack and stood, hitting his head off the ceiling as he proclaimed the journey. Twilight and the changeling just looked at him in his slight awkward stance. Justin then looked to the changeling and pointed a finger in its direction. "Would you kindly tell us where it's located?"
