A school day in the life of Rainbow Dash.
Morning: School Preparation.
Rainbow Dash set down the Daring Do book she had just finished on the side table and looked at the clock.
"Alright, what time is it?" she yawned, "woah."
The clock displayed '8:22'. Rainbow Dash had been reading all night and morning and was nearly late to catch the train. She quickly got together her bag and zoomed out the door.
Canterlot High Express: Journey to School
Rainbow Dash managed to board the train just as it was leaving. She quickly found Fluttershy sat at a table on her own.
"Hey, Fluttershy!" Rainbow Dash smiled.
"Oh, hello Rainbow Dash." Fluttershy said.
"Where's everypony else?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"In the other carriages. This is the quiet cart. Octavia and Vinyl Scratch were just here but Vinyl was being too loud and she had to move." Fluttershy whispered.
"Oh right. Well you look a little lonely, so I'll sit with you." Rainbow Dash said.
Periods 1/2: Double Physical Education
Rainbow Dash loved Wednesdays. Her favourite day only because of starting the day with double physical education, but this morning she was not in the mood. She was tired from reading all night. She attempted an obstacle course seven times but failed each time, crashing into a wall or tripping over a hurdle.
"Today not your day, Rainbow Dash?" the teacher asked.
"I was up all night." she sighed.
"At another of Vinyl Scratch's parties?" the teacher returned a sigh.
"No I was uh...just...whatever." Rainbow Dash didn't want to tell her favourite teacher that his most athletic student was READING a CHILD'S book all night.
At least she hadn't lied. A party would've lightened her mood. She knew Vinyl threw one every night but she had been too engrossed in her Daring Do books to attend any.
Period 3: Biology
Nope. Rainbow Dash fell asleep.
Lunch
Rainbow Dash had once again forgotten her lunch in the rush to get to the train station on time.
"Fluttershy...I forgot my lunch again. Mind if I-" Fluttershy sighed and pushed her lunch bag over to Rainbow Dash.
"Thanks." said Rainbow Dash, forcing a smile.
Twilight tutted and shook her head, lowering the phone she held with her magic.
"Vinyl Scratch is throwing another party." she sighed.
Rainbow Dash perked up and brought out her phone. She saw on PonyHoof about Vinyl's party and pressed like, thinking 'I am so there!'.
"I hope nopony is planning to go. Her parties last all night and you get no revision or homework done." Twilight complained.
Everypony shook their heads slowly. Except for Fluttershy and Twilight, they always enjoyed Vinyl's parties.
Period 4: Cooking
By now Rainbow Dash was wide awake and ready to concentrate, but another problem arose from her rushing to school; she forgot the ingredients for her cooking practical. Applejack laughed and trotted up to her.
"It's partner work, sugarcube. I remembered mine. Pony up with me." she smiled.
"Thanks, Applejack!" Rainbow Dash beamed.
The two worked well together and made three apple pies. Two of which were made by Applejack, the one by Rainbow Dash looked a little off shape, but was otherwise perfect. Rainbow Dash got a B-grade; apparently it was a 'tad undercooked'. This teacher, she did not like.
Period 5: English
"Okay class, who has read a good book recently?" the teacher asked.
Rainbow Dash subconsciously shot her hoof up, then quickly back own again, but the teacher had already spotted her.
"Rainbow Dash? Oh, this is a change. Stand in front of the class and explain the story." she smiled.
Rainbow Dash slowly and nervously trotted to the front and looked around. All the popular ponies were there; no way was she going to retell the child's book Daring Do in front of them.
"It was a...comic book...about a pony war in the future. Yeah! And there was this pony who wanders outside of her home and goes on this huge adventure, meets other ponies and...a lot of stuff happens." she made up on the spot.
"Comic books are not proper literature, Rainbow Dash. Sit down." the teacher said seriously.
Home Time
What a short and bad day. Rainbow Dash slumped at her chair in her room and logged onto PonyHoof.
