Twilight was doing her Friday experiments, becoming an alicorn has made it a lot more fun. She was mixing liquids quietly, reds, blues and greens. Then a thought.
"What if... I opened a vortex?" She asked herself. Twilight quickly realised how reckless that it would be and removed the idea from her mental list of possible experiments. Returning to her experiments, she heard someone bounding down the stairs with a perky bounce.
'That could only be ONE pony. She thought to herself with a chuckle.
"Hi-de-hi Twilight!" Pinkie Pie called out, her big smile lighting up the room.
"Hi Pinkie! What brings you here?"
"Just wanted to visit my favourite bookworm!" Pinkie Pie decided to have a look around the room and touch everything. Seriously. Twilight gasped in horror as Pinkie Pie touched her many test tubes, brushed against her beacons and poked her dangerous chemicals. Twilight's wings started flapping desperately; she didn't want to offend her surprise guest but she also didn't want to let her get hurt physically. Twilight calmly guided Pinkie Pie over to a safe corner.
"Now don't move from that corner." Twilight instructed.
"But what am I-"
"Have a... umm... an invisible chocolate chip cookie!" Twilight answered, cutting Pinkie Pie off. Twilight gestured picking up a 'cookie' and put it in Pinkie's hooves.
"Now I have to set to work dismantling my Vortex Gate; it's just way too dangerous." Twilight mumbled, scanning her clipboard. Pinkie Pie stuck her tounge out at the purple princess. Her eyes darted from side to side, desperate for something to do; then she saw a interesting machine. It had a tempting red button and Pinkie just had to press it. Pinkie Pie's forehead dripped delicately with sweat as she silently sneaked past Twilight, busy with potions. The pink mare's hooves tapped the stone floor as she inched closer and closer to her target... the red button. She just HAD to touch it! Pinkie Pie finally reached the red button when Twilight gasped, startling Pinkie Pie. She fell forward, hitting the button.
"PINKIE PIE WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!!" Twilight screamed in distress as the Vortex Gate buzzed with a glowing blue light.
"Idon'tknowIdon'tknow I'm so sorry TWILIGHT!!" Pinkie Pie sobbed shaking her head in shame.
Twilight and Pinkie Pie stared at the almost angelic blue light, their manes flowing backwards.


"It's finally stable." Grunkle Stan sighed in relief, sipping his coffee. He was suddenly bathed in a blue glow. It was incredibly intense and it caught Stanford completely of guard.
"Holy crap!!" He yelled in disbelief. Another blue spark set off in the middle of the Portal lab.
"Stanford Pines; I FINALLY caught up to you!" A certain dorito-face taunted evilly. Stan's eyes thinned in horror and anger, but smiled craftily. The portal started in a suction motion and Stan was at his control board desk.
"Huh?! What's wrong with ya pal?" Bill questioned in frustration, until he started to get pulled in to the blazing vortex.
"What the hell?! STOP I-" He was instantly cut off by being sucked into another UNIVERSE...
