Princess Twilight Sparkle. Twilight still loved that official title, it meant a great deal to her and every one she knew, it meant she had power and responsibility in Equestria for as long as she lived.Although her duties would indeed get tedious and annoying she still loved her position among Equestria's government. Although she loved Equestria and everyone else she knew, something hadn't been quite right with lots of ponies she interacted with. They seemed scared of her for some odd reason. This had plagued Twilight's mind on a daily bases so today she decided to finally investigate.

Twilight opened the castle door and entered the outside world, looking around to spot some pony to talk to in order to get her investigation started.She walked up to an elder mare with a frying pan on her flank for her cutie mark, she was feeding bread to some nearby birds. Twilight tapped her gently.

''Hello, my name is Twilight Sparkle. Well more formally known as Princess Twilight, I just wanted t ask you a few questions if it isn't too much.''

The elder mare hadn't turned around to face Twilight, a small drop of sweat slid down the side of her head. From this it was obvious to indicate that this pony too had been afraid of her, but even so Twilight waited for the mare's answer.

''Wh-why of course Princess it would..be an h-honor  to help you''. That mare had lied through her teeth to Twilight because of the fear that was striking her now, this whole situation is all so peculiar to Twilight now but she knew through investigation that she would find her answer even if it took months.

Twilight sighed ''I just want to know why is everypony so bucking scared of me? I use to have many friends and lots of respect but now every pony is just 3 seconds away from running away from me like I'm going to hurt them or something! Twilight took an short breathe then exhaled ''I just want to know what's wrong so that I can fix it.'' Twilight explained, holding back her vast amount of frustration with a forced smirk on her face.

The mare faced Twilight, in her emerald colored eyes Twilight could see fear and sadness in them and nothing more. The mare lowered her head, biting her lip as if she was struggling to choose the exact words for her next sentence as if she had chosen a poor choice of words she would perish.

The mare looked up at Twilight once more, releasing her lip, she began to studded. ''N-no disrespect Princess bu-but you're all....all..Her words began to trail off into a whisper, a whisper that was filled with so much fear and so much regret. The mare didn't even want to finish her sentence but nonetheless she gathered the last bit of her courage and whispered ''Monsters'' as quietly as possible then quickly trotted away from Twilight.

Unfortunately Twilight had perceived that last whisper. ''Monsters'', it echoed in her head the word was in an inescapable loop, that's what every pony saw her now, that's how she was defined. She was no longer defined as beloved or respected or even friendly to anyone as far as she knew at this moment. Twilight wanted to cry, she wanted to shed so many tears right now her eyes had began to water as she walked away, she decided that it was best for her to return to the ''Castle of Friendship'' (as she had dubbed her new home that she gained from using the rainbow power and defeating Tirek)

Twilight dragged herself into her private room and layed face down in a pillow, her tears immediately poured out, wetting the pillow. All that time, gaining friends and respect and love from all she encountered had now gone down the drain , her once good name and even better formal title as Princess had now been tarnished with the degrading and disgusted new name of ''Monster'' It felt as if a sword had just pierced her heart slowly to ensure lasting agony. For now and the rest of the day Twilight wallowed in despair and would continue her investigations at a later date.
