//------------------------------// // Madness // Story: Celestia, Luna and Discord's Childhood Journey // by AngriestDislestia //------------------------------// So...That was new... Mmmhmm. It was... Amazing? Eurgh! It was...It's done! Yes! An heir...Will be born. Brilliant. Don't sound convinced. I'm not convinced... About..? I traded her freedom for a useless baby! Well done! Well...You didn't exactly help! I was just goin' with it bro'. Argh! Her FREEDOM! Don't worry, you're going to kill Clover remember! I can't! You can! You killed Starswirl! No I didn't! He did! ...Oh yeah... I can't KILL Clover... THEN MAN UP! What the heck is a man?! ...Never mind. What I mean is, COME ON! YOU'RE THE SPIRIT OF CHAOS FOR PONY'S SAKE! You don't say "Oh I can't kill ponies! Ahhh! I'm such a baby! Ahh, conscience help me! I can't decide anything on my own!" Like you really help with THAT! What are you saying? I'm not saying anything! We're thoughts! Hmmm. I guess that's right. I think you'd better- Oh! Look! Celly's waking up... Cel-? Celestia yawned as she lifted herself and rubbed her eyes. "Good Morning Discord..." She said tiredly. "Good Morning, Celly!" He got her breakfast by snapping his talons. She gasped and smiled. She looked to him knowingly... "You know what i'd prefer?" She asked slowly, quietly, lustfully leaning in... "What?" Discord replied leaning in, also. They both leaned right in, so close they could kiss and... "Cereal." So...Celestia ate her...Cereal...and soon after got dressed. Discord knew it was coming, and it was gonna come soon. Very soon. Celestia trotted over him, wearing a cute fluffy winter coat. She stopped before him. Discord pulled a nervous, hopeful smile. "Discord, do you remember last night?" She asked. "Ummm...Why wouldn't I?" He asked nervously. No time for flirting. "I don't know." She sad looking down shaking her head. "So...I'm gonna go out around the kingdom." She said pirkily. "Ok..." Discord said nervously. She smiled. "I'll be back soon..." She said as she turned around and trotted off down the halls. Discord stayed stiff until he heard the door close behind her. ... "Ohhh! No no no...This can't happen to me! Not me! I can't lose he-...Equestria! Oh no! What'll she do to me! She'll hate me!" Discord broke down almost crying in hopelessness. Luna was walking around the corridor when she saw him. And she couldn't beleive her eyes...It was him...The little sniffling, lonely Draconequus she knew fifty years ago...Abandoned, sad, lonely, hated...It made her feel bad. She turned away. ...H...He deserved it! Didn't he? He was using Celestia...but...in a way...they too were using him... No! That doesn't give him an excuse... No. He...was bad. He was a monster. He was evil. Soon Discord's nerves were getting the better of him. He was chuckling nervously. Clutching himself as he began searching for weapon. He rumaged messily through the kitchen and found it! His tool in which he would use to DESTROY Clover. "I HEHEHAHA...have to..Haha! Kill...HEHE..Clover! Or...Celly...Heh heh..Little Celly...Will find out and hate me. We can't have that, can we?! No..." He chuckled madly to himself as he stroked the sharp edge of the blade. He blinked a few and gulped in slight realization. Then shook it off and again chuckled. He soon flew up to the palace door. A twinge of ugh! crept into his heart, just thinking of Celestia, Clover or Luna sickened him to death...He couldn't bare it any longer! He just wanted to get on with it. There was no time for silly plans! Thinking of prolongued boring patientness...urgh! So boring...And horrible...and...He couldn't think about it...It SUCKED. And he wasn't going to carry on for much longer...At all... Clover was trotting around beautifully sunny morning when suddenly she spotted Celestia canter toward her. "Oh, hey!" Clover called. Celestia sighed happily. "Hi, I need you to tell me how to defeat Discord!" She said. "Oh...OK," She said slightly nervous. She then smiled slyly. "So...I hear things with Discord are quite...complicated at the moment..." "Yes, I can tell he has a plan, but I can't tell whether or not he knows my plan. He's the most crafty creature i've ever met!" Celestia replied. Clover shook her head. "No! I mean...Luna told me about how Discord acts so sincerely and purely around you...and you the same..." Clover said slyly. "No...Well, yes, but...I'm sure we both hate each other..." Celestia replied. "Are you sure...?" Clover asked. Celestia pondered that question for a few moments...what was Clover getting at...? She had very little time though, for Clover's eyes widened in horror. Celestia suddenly felt a horrible kind of dread. She turned around shakily. And when she did. She wished she hadn't. Her mind was only then figuring how much she appreciated Discord, how much he was patient and crafty, and how she could not tell what his angle was...But now looking up at his sick, twisted smile, she realised that he was just a madman. He had a knife in his clutches and didn't seem to care that she was there, as if he'd lost what she had admired and kind of loved about him... He was chuckling in an uncontrollable manner, as if he couldn't even hold his breath to stop himself. Suddenly, the skies turned a pink-y grey and dark brown rain began chuck it down on the ground; the kind of raining that makes you soaked within three seconds. The ground beneath them became nothing but sheer solid, purple chess board material. His eyes now glowed brighter and more crazy than ever as suddenly and dangerous hills began forming randomly, adn on the biggest hill...a throne; a red and black angular one with antlers. Before she could take a long enough look a ridiculously bright and massive strike of lighting crashed into the ground. The world seemed to shake and she had to close her eyes as it became so windy that she barely stand still. Of course she had her eyes shut for a while; with the wind it was almost impossible, and with the light of the lightning, she couldn't and knew that she didn't want to open her eyes. She heard screams and wails and the most heart shaking gasps and yelps. It all hurt, especially since she had promised to be guardian of Equestria and now everypony was in terrible danger...because of her... Soon all of the chaos stopped...and finally she could open her eyes. There were still clouds of pink and grass of purple and white...but it wasn't dark nor windy nor stormy... But behind her...lay an almost completely motionless Clover... Celestia trotted over to her and kneeled down. "Clover... I'm so sorry!" She sobbed. "Did...Luna..t-tell you he w-was evil?..." Clover whispered. "I knew," She said in a nervous chuckle. Clover took what would be one of her last breaths. "The Elements...Lay within the Tree of Harmony..." Clover said. "Yes? What do I do!? Where is it!?" Celestia asked quickly, nervously. "The Element will defeat him...The tree is whithin the crevice near the castle...You'll know wich one it is...and you...You'll know what to do...You're connected..."She practically breathed out the last part. "Celestia..." "Y-Yes...?" Celestia replied quietly. "Never forget his loving side. No matter what. The side that you loved and that loved you... But destroy him as long as he threatens your kingdom." Clover finished. Then, slowly, Celestia watched her eyelids flutter back over her eyes...And Discord had now also sleighed Clover the Clever. Celestia was not crying as she stomped back into the castle, she had not shed a tear. She wouldn't. Ever. And where in the hay was Luna? Was she still in bed? Probably. But that didn't matter. She forcefully trotted up every step until she reached the castle gates. They were open. There were no gates. Their castle wasn't even connected to the ground. Yet Celestia remained unfazed; her expression remained a scowl of hate as she flew up to the castle doors and ferosciously flung them open. "DISCORD!!!" She screamed at him; immediately, she hovered in the sky; flaming mane and red eyes. This was how she became when she was angry...You didn't want to see her angry! Discord giggled; insane as he had became. "Yes?" He asked innocent with his arms crossed in front of him. He carried on giggling...He was such a JERK! "STOP ACTING SO PATHETICALLY AND TALK TO ME SERIOUSLY!!! YOU JUST KILLED ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS!!! AN INNOCENT MARE WHO DID NOT DESERVE TO BE KILLED!!! ESPECIALLY NOT BY THE LIKES OF YOU!!!" Celestia screamed at the top of her lungs. Discord stopped smiling and cocked a brow. "Are you mad?" He simply asked. He wasn't trying to be annoying, but the answer was a bit obvious! "AM I MAD?!?!?! AM I MAD!?!? WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU BASTARD SON OF A -!?!?" "Don't swear at me!" Discord yelled back, calmly, but firmly. For a few moments there was silence. Time of thought and rationalization, but Celestia refused to be, somewhat, ordered around by a...bastard freak of nature! "I can swear at you all I like sick-minded asshole." Celestia whispered eerily, as she returned to her normal self and slowly flew to the ground and renewed her scowl. Discord sighed. "You'll make me very mad if you carry on." Discord said with his haunting scowl. It gave Celestia shivers, but she would not back down; he pushed her over the edge, so she'll push him over the edge. "Bastard." "Watch it." "Son of a bitch." "Are you sure this is what you want?" "Sure is asshole! What more could you do to Equestria? My home? My ponies?" Discord laughed and slid over behind her. He chuckled. "This is me playing." Discord said with a sneer. Celestia didn't respond. "Me playing is doing your's and Luna's jobs in a snap of my talons, me playing is tinkering with the very forces of nature, me playing is creating the impossible and turning it into reality! Me PLAYING IS DOING ALL OF THIS WITHOUT THE SLIGHTEST WEIGHT ON MY SHOULDERS!!!" Discord yelled at her. This caused her to step back and think. He was really powerful; he could do almost anything! And nopony could possibly stop him..."So do you really want to see me angry......?" Discord whispered to her seductively, stroking the bottom of her chin, slithering by her side. "I suppose not, Dick." Celestia said quietly. Discord simply let out an agitated sigh, and got away a bit. "But, actually, I don't care. Do whatever you want. You're not going to be The World's Ruler for very long." "Whatever you say, my perfectly-pretty-princess-pony..." Discord said with a grin. Celestia chuffed and walked away. Behind her Discord sat slouched cheerily on his throne, giggling and laughing mocking goodbyes, and see ya laters and many battles to look forward tos. It was infuriating how cheery and dumb and mocking and sarcastic and obnoxious he was! She HATED him beyond belief, and she couldn't wait to smash his tail into the ground! Luckily, The Tree of Harmony was just in the crevice outside their castle; The Castle of The Two Sisters. That's why they built it there; they always felt connected to it. And obviously Clover and Starswirl knew things that Discord didn't want her and Luna to know. Little did Discord know, Clover told her some very important information. Celestia couldn't find Luna at the moment, so she made her way to the Tree of Harmony. She slowly wandered down the pony carved steps and reached the bottom. To her surprise, Luna was there. Just sitting in front of the tree. Staring at the bottom. Celestia walked over to her sister slowly. "Quite the morning, huh Luna?" Celestia asked. "Yeah..." Luna replied still staring at the ground. "So...You know about Clover?" She asked. "Yeah..." Luna replied. "How?" Celestia asked. "Discord." Luna said. Not feeling as bright as usual. "What did he say?" Celestia asked, suddenly feeling more urgent. Luna didn't reply. "Luna, WHAT DID HE SAY!?!?!" Celestia shouted. She didn't mean to shout, but she needed an answer. Luna gulped. She wasn't scared of her sister's shouting. She knew why she shouted. "Well... He shot into my room. I was on my bed because I was tired after just lowering the moon. He came in, giggling like a madman. All twitchy. I thought he was going to do something to me. But he just shot a bright, obnoxious smile into my soul and said "Do you like it?" I was confused. I asked him "Do I like what?". He replied "Your new home!". I got up and looked around outside. It was awful. Just like it is now, only it was like a storm had just passed. I gasped. "So...?" He asked me, with his devilish grin. I turned to him mad, worried and scared and asked "What did you do?!?! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!?!" His smile drooped into one of a regretful parent. But it was a fake expression. "Daddy did what he needed to do..." He replied, obnoxious as ever. I repeated my question. "What EXACTLY did you do?!?!" His eyebrows furrowed at my confidence and he growled. "There..." He pointed down into the middle of our little village. Clover was lying there. Dead." Luna spoke with a strangely peaceful tone. "Then I asked where you were and he told me "Gone," Then he said to me reasons how you always outshone me and aren't I jealous." "That's rediculous!" Celestia raised her voice. "Don't you EVER believe that anypony is better than you! EVER!" Luna simply nodded her head. They sat there in a deep silence for a few minutes and just stared at the ground. They tapped the ground. They breathed slow and silent. "So. This tree. It holds the means-" "To defeat Discord, I know." Luna replied. "But how, I wonder?" Celestia asked. That question dangled in the air for weeks. So long in fact, that they decided to drop it, and try and defeat Discord in any possible way. The ponies around probably thought the Princesses weren't doing anything and that's what made Celestia have the idea to use brute force in the first place. Use their alicorn magic is what they were going to do. Surely that would be enough strength to defeat a pathetic draconequus. Or so they thought. They cantered in, wearing fine sun-gold and star-steel armour. They were going to have a real fight. And stand up to Discord. "Oh Hello, ladies!!! How are you both? I haven't seen you very often of late. I've missed you quite a lot." Discord told them. "Discord, we've come to defeat you." Celestia said. Immediately Discord noted that they didn't have the Elements with them. "Oh. Is that so?" Discord asked. "'Tis!" Luna replied. "Ok. Lay on your hardest." Discord muttered dissmissively. Sitting on Celestia's throne. Celestia's eyes narrowed with Luna's. "We WILL!!!" They both shouted as they charged to fight the demonic draconequus.
