The Masters Retreat
New Equestria was is usually a beauty; ponies would flock to it to enjoy the scenery. But today it was different, it was sadder. Twilight was walking through the New Canterlot Castle’s chapel; it was filled with Royal Guard coffins, and today was body day. Twilight found the one she was looking for; it said “Shining Armor General of Royal Fusiliers.” Twilight stood there, standing in respect, Vedette came up behind her and said “We finally brought him back.” There were problems with logistics; the roads would be attacked by Black Jacket raiders. Cadence called off the funeral, the funeral was to now be after Cadence gave birth, so the child could at least say he was at his father’s funeral. Twilight walked among the rows, she looked at one coffin it said “Unknown” Twilight stood there pitying the possible widow, widower or family this soldier left behind. Twilight walked towards the end of the row, the sheer trauma then hit her. She turned around and saw a family weeping; Twilight knew this war must end. Then Twilight’s mind imagined the explosion and her brother dead.
In the Eclipse Chapel, a widow was mourning. She stood there over the coffin, her one year old played with an Equestrian Alliance ARC-170 toy. The widow wept, the one year old looked up, and went on with playing, the one year old had no idea what was going on.
Twilight and Vedette were walking in the Royal Canterlot gardens. They were talking about plans after the war, Vedette then said “I hope to get married, have a kid.” Twilight listened, and said “I want to do the same.” Twilight looked at the moon of New Canterlot and said “I wish the war would end already.”
Subject X orbited Equestria quietly, then a shuttle approached it, the pilots asked “Permission to land?” Subject X granted the permission, as the shuttle got closer, you could see how the ship was under construction. As the shuttle landed, a Commander in the Control Area said “Inform the commander Lord Vader has arrived.” The Shuttles ramp lowered, a legion of Stormtroopers guarded the hangar, Vader got out, and then met with the Commander.
“My lord, this is an unexpected visit.”
“I am here to put this ship right on schedule.”
“We are working as fast as we can, we need more workers.”
“You do not need more workers Commander, you need more morale.”
“I am sorry my lord.”
New Canterlot was in a grim mood, more coffins were arriving. Twilight stood there right next to her brother’s coffin, and cried. She sat there, weeping Twilight was afraid, some of these ponies she killed or ordered their deaths when Twilight was with Vader.
Celestia was in her office signing notes and stamping death notices. Celestia looked outside at the grey sky; there was frost in the ground. Celestia sighed and went back to signing. Celestia longed for a break, but those who died in the day Celestia would sign there death notice.
Luna was sitting there in the chapel. Watching a family mourn, then Luna spoke up and said “I’m sorry for your lose.” The wife of the dead soldier turned around and said “You’re the reason for this, you sent him to Oizna, and you are a monster.” The wife trotted up to Luna and then hit Luna. Luna fell to the ground as the Wife walked away towards the exit. Luna got up from the ground and looked shocked, she couldn’t believe it, and Luna was on the ground in the chapel crying because she thought she was the reason for the death.
Vader stood on the main deck of Subject X, he then turned to the Captain and said “Make the Equestrian Alliance think that there is a fleet of three Executor Class Super Star Destoryers heading to New Equestria.” The Captain nodded and said “As you wish, would you like to add a Star Destoryer escort?” Vader looked at the Captain and said “Yes.” Vader despised the captain for taking the words out of his mouth.
Vedette and Twilight were having dinner at a well-known food place* in New Canterlot. Vedette sat there telling Twilight about his time with the army, he started off with the time he got recruited. Twilight then told Vedette when she was crowned. Twilight remembered the songs. Then she got brought back to reality up by a LAAT that flew by, Twilight screamed because of how sudden the LAAT was. Vedette fell back laughing, Twilight’s expression was priceless.
Twilight and Vedette then walked back to the New Canterlot Castle, they opened the front gate. Boba Fett was inside, Twilight gasped as Boba kicked an unarmed soldier who was attempting to surrender. Boba took out his rifle and looked at Twilight. Boba smirked and said “You have two options, let this pony die, or come with me. You bring Vedette along. If you make one wrong move, this guard dies. Your choice.” Twilight stood there and said “You’re bluffing.”
“Remember Dahn? And what I did?”
“Yes.”
“Are you willing to bet a ponies life on it?”
“No.”
“Then give up. 3 seconds.”
“3”
“2”
“1”
“Stop! I will give up!”
Twilight dropped her saber and Boba picked it up. Boba then said “Too late.” Fett then killed the pony. Twilight stood there as
Boba poked her in the back of her head with his EE-3. “Move it.” Boba Fett commanded her, Vedette was standing there hiding.
They approached the Slave 1. Boba Fett walked the sun was rising, his cape whipped in the wind, there where clouds in the background. Boba looked and said “Go into the cargo hold, and sit tight.” Twilight and Vedette did so. Boba boarded the Slave 1 and accidentally clonked his head. Then a door to the launch pad opened, and Rebel Alliance soldiers poured out and screamed “Its Boba Fett!”
The Slave 1 started hovering and shot a few rounds and then turned and flew towards the sun. Boba Fett was heading towards Subject X.
On Subject X Twilight was brought before Palpatine. Twilight was followed by Vader. Vader stood there and said “Here she is my master.” Palpatine then said “I see, did Fett get her.”
“Yes my master.”
“Good, good.”
“How much longer until the Equestrian Alliance fleet arrives?”
“Thirty minutes.”
“Everything is proceeding as planned; did we pull out all our forces from Xander?”
“Yes master.”
Twilight stood there, and said “Wait, what you are planning?” Palpatine turned around and said “The end of your pathetic rebellion, Vader you stay here with Twilight, and then take her to the prison.”
Palpatine departed, and headed to the Ground Base. Vader stood there, and threw the lightsaber to Twilight. Twilight picked it up, Vader did not flinch. Twilight then screamed as she charged towards Vader, Vader promptly raised his saber and defended himself. “Give yourself into the Darkside, you can overpower me with your hate, and anger.” Twilight then held back her anger and struck at Vader, she levitated her saber. Vader defended himself, and said “You are weak; your grip on the saber isn’t well. You failed your brother, he died in vain.” Twilight screamed, and attacked Vader. Vader grabbed Twilights throat and said “I have received orders, to take you to a prison.” Twilight kicked Vader, but Vader grabbed Twilight’s saber.
Twilight was dragged to a transport then she was taken to the Imperial Ground Base. Just in time for the Equestrian Alliance fleet to arrive. There ships were immediately forced to engage. They were firing on the other ships, when then Subject X fired on a ship, the super laser destroyed the ship.
Twilight’s cell was overlooking a parade ground, when she looked out when she got in she was shocked. There were thousands of stormtroopers, they were all lined up. Then the intercom announced “Forward face.” A loud thunder filled the parade grounds, it shook Twilight’s room. Twilight looked closer, then Intercom then announced “Forward March, and prepare for battle.” TIE Bombers took off, TIE fighters flooded the air, and CR90 Corvettes filled the air. Then the stormtroopers started marching, they were marching in sync with each other. The Black Jackets where goose stepping out of the Parade Grounds.
Twilight looked at the lava fields and thought “So many people and ponies are going to die.” Then all the sudden Equestrian Alliance Landing craft flew overhead and flew towards the ruins of Canterlot. They landed, and unloaded.
Black Jackets sat in some of the ruined buildings; they then pulled out a sniper rifle, and set up. The squad leader then said “By the time this ash storm stops, we open fire, rockets, guns, and LMGs, just unload on them.” The ash storm stopped, and then they started shooting at the Rebel Alliance and Equestrian Alliance forces. Then the rebels threw a thermal detonator, the detonator exploded. The Black Jackets exploded, all of them dead.
Vader walked through the command section of the base and ordered an AT-AT general “Get the AT-ATs ready, if they are able to walk through lava, and then make them move through the rivers.” The General nodded and saluted Vader and said “Yes my lord.”
The AT-ATs moved out and started marching towards the front lines. The front lines was where Canterlot ruins ended, and the lava fields started. If a body was hit, then it would melt inside the armor, Rebel Soldiers had to use modified stormtrooper armor to prevent death from the heat.
Vader was walking through the ruins of Canterlot; he entered the Rebel Alliance command post. Vader walked towards the command room, he heard the voices of ponies, and then he heard Luna and Celestia, Vader walked up to a guard and sliced her down, the Guard fell to the ground and whimpered out “No, not the princesses, must warn them.” The guard tried to press the panic button, but she lost her grip on life, and went limp.
Vader entered the room, and locked the doors; Celestia looked up and gasped so did Luna. Vader stood there ignited his Lightsaber, and then turned to a security guard and then struck the guard down to the ground. Vader charged towards Celestia and sliced her back, Celestia immediately went unconscious. Vader turned around and saw a pregnant earth pony try to retreat; Vader raised his saber and kicked her to the ground the earth pony screamed “NO! I HAVE TRIPLETS! PLEASE HAVE MERCY!” Vader raised his saber and impaled the earth pony in the stomach. Vader turned around and saw Luna who was charging in an attempt to attack Vader, Vader raised used the force to push Luna into a wall, Luna instantly went unconscious. Vader walked towards a rebel general and killed him. Vader then sliced open the window and jumped out.
Celestia woke up, and coughed out ashes. She crawled along the floor, and encountered the body of a pony, she shook the body it was the pregnant pony. Celestia crawled towards a humanoid body, it was a general. Celestia managed to get herself up and looked for Luna, she then found Luna.
Celestia stood there; she helped her sister up, and hugged Luna. Luna was safe, then the doors exploded, Rebel Alliance soldiers busted in, they saw what happened. Celestia looked outside the window, and saw TIE Fighters flying by, and then she saw Equestrian Alliance soldiers march towards the Imperial complex, the ash whipped by.
Vader stood there looking outside; he did not regret what he did. He then said to a commander “Prepare to crush them.” The Commander nodded and said "Yes my lord, shall we deploy the Dark Troopers?" Vader nodded and said "Yes."
Twilight stood there, she then looked at the Assembly area, and then noticed something in the glass, there was a small crack. Twilight kicked the crack, she stood there kicking and then she broke through. The wind was howling, the ash blew into her cell. Twilight fell down to the balcony below, she walked slowly, and then she looked around, and then a lightsaber ignited behind her, Twilight ran faster. Vader was behind her, Vader jumped over her and then gave her a lightsaber and said “Now let out your anger.” Twilight walked backwards, and then threw a barrel at Vader. Vader was taken by surprise. Vader recovered from the attack, and ran towards Twilight. Twilight raised her saber in defense. Vader attacked Twilight and overpowered her. Twilight screamed, and pushed Vader back. Vader kicked Twilight to the ground and then raised his saber; he then sliced off the balcony support. The balcony was now falling. Twilight ran up and jumped, Vader was off the balcony. Twilight hit the cement of the assembly area. Twilight got up and flew away; she flew towards the ruins of Canterlot.
Twilight got to Canterlot, it was quiet. Twilight walked towards a rebel guard. The Rebel Guard asked “What Ma’am?” Twilight sighed and said “Prepare for any Black Jacket ambushes. They are everywhere, we lost three squads, their bodies where fished out of a lava river.” The guard nodded and said “Yes Ma’am.” Twilight looked at the Imperial Base and asked “When is your artillery bombardment supposed to begin?”
“Five minutes, the guns are loaded the gunners are taking aim”
“Tell them to aim at the power plant, the Imperial Base has 5 of them, the base is huge when I was flying over it, it seemed to go on for miles, so tell them also to aim at the enemy assembly areas.”
“The artillery is firing, I have to go to my unit we are preparing to attack.”
“I hope to talk to you again.”
“Me to Ma’am.”
Aramis was standing there in the base, the walls were shaking Aramis watched as Stormtroopers hurried down the hallway, then Boba Fett walked up to Aramis and said “Aramis, get your men ready, don’t get in my way.” Aramis nodded and said “Yes sir.” Stormtroopers hurried to assembly areas. Some hallways collapsed from the artillery. Aramis walked into the main battle room and said “Get the Mandalorians ready.”
Aramis stood there watching the Mandalorians head out, he then said to one of his Commanders “We will be defecting soon, and don’t you worry.”
Palpatine stood there watching the space battle, he then announced “Fire at will commander” On Subject X the Commander gave the sign and said “Fire on one of their main command ships.” On super laser deck, the gunners were charging everything up. Then the main gunner gave the order “Commence primary ignition.” They went straight to clicking the switches, and then the bolt of energy surged and flew towards the command ship. The command ship exploded.
Celestia stood there and screamed “Luna! Subject X is fully operational. Luna watched as Subject X started firing on their fleet. Celestia then ordered the fleet to pull back.
On the ground Twilight charged towards the Imperial Bunkers, then an AT-PT stormed out and trampled a squad, the AT-PT turned around and started shooting rounds at Twilight. Twilight dodged the rounds and ran towards a bunker. Twilight jumped onto the bunker and saw an air vent. She kicked the air vent in and entered.
Twilight exited the air vent she was inside an assembly area she walked towards a giant door, she looked at it, the door slowly opened, and it was dark inside. Twilight peered inside, she heard a monstrous roar, and then a metal foot appeared, Twilight looked up an AT-AT was walking over her, it was moving out towards the battle. Twilight entered the Imperial Base; she walked through the halls, and entered a large room.
Twilight walked carefully, she heard a moaning noise. She looked around and saw nothing, she walked towards a door, and she opened it. Nothing was there she entered the hallway, and then Vader standing there looking at her. Twilight walked towards Vader, and then Vader pushed Twilight away and closed the door behind him.
Twilight crept through the hallways, she stopped at a glass window, she looked down. All she saw was Stormtroopers patrolling, and Boba Fett walking towards a landing pad. Twilight knew this place, it was a Power Generator. Twilight walked to a door and opened it, she looked out and saw a droid factory. She walked through and looked up there where Phase 1 Dark Trooper’s on the shelves. Twilight walked to an assembly area, she saw Phase 1 Dark Troopers march out and get ready, then she heard a low voice “Target acquired.” Twilight turned around a Phase 3 Dark Trooper towered over her.
Twilight had only one option, jump off the platform, which she did. Twilight landed and ran to a door, she opened the door and she was now on the top area of the complex, she looked to the north and saw Canterlot, and then she saw Imperial Turbolasers firing into the distance. Twilight looked up as Venator class Star Destoryers fired down onto the Imperial Base, Twilight noticed the Slave 1 which was starting up.
Twilight ran towards Boba Fett who was boarding, Boba turned around and then pulled out his EE-3, he fired several rounds; Twilight whipped out her saber and deflected the blasts.
Fett then ran towards Twilight and kicked her to the ground, he attempted to choke her, and Twilight broke free and nearly killed Boba. Boba then kicked Twilight off the platform; he then jumped down and landed near her. Twilight got up and then attacked Fett, they were in a hangar, as the two fought, TIE fighters flew out they flew into battle, then a missile flew into the hangar, it was from a Venator Star Destoryer. The missile exploded and then Boba Fett used his jet pack to get out.
Twilight was in the hangar, dazed and confused. The hangar doors over her started closing. Twilight stood up and walked towards a door, she was in the middle of the base, and most of the guards would be towards the outskirts of the base defending it. Twilight sensed that Vader was near. She walked towards a door and entered; when she sensed Vader she became terrified, and uneasy.
Twilight walked through the hallways she was near the command center; Twilight entered the command room and looked around. She saw Vader who was standing there.
Luna and Celestia managed to infiltrate the Imperial base they were near Palpatine’s chamber. Luna and Celestia looked at each other and said “Let’s end this, once and for all."
