Chapter 1: The Package

This is sky feather he lives in Cloudsdale with his brother Cloud Spark. Their parents are both archaeologists and usually work on the same digs. They were on one together now. There was a knock at the door Cloud quickly ran over to the door to see a mail Pegasus standing at the door.

The mail Pegasus gave Cloud the package this was weird neither Cloud nor Sky had remembered ordering any package. The package was from the dig site that their parents had been working at. Cloud said thanks and signed for the package, took it over to where Sky was sitting he handed it over to him.

He opened it to find a book and a letter. Sky opened the book it was his father’s journal it contained all the information about their parents digs and what they found at them it also had a bit of information about the one that they would of been working on now.
It was about a large glowing green orb that had been found by some earth ponies who worked on a rock farm.

But why would their father send them this journal cloud read the letter to Sky Feather.

Dear Sky and Cloud,
If you have received this letter i have deceased I would like you to call wherever I have been unless you know. And or saw what happened. I have put together a will for just the two of you at the bottom of this letter feel free to read it.

Sky Feather called the dig site to see if it was there were their father had died.
They responded by saying that both of their parents had been swept up in an hurricane when most of the other ponies were either asleep. They had started packing to come home when a hurricane swept them up. Along with a bunch of other ponies working on the dig site.

Cloud and Sky decided to go to the dig site to find out more so they decided to go as soon as possible.
The next day Cloud and Sky packed a satchel full of the things in their fathers will, the letter and a map of Equestria and began flying towards the nearest train station located at the unicorn range they decided to take a train going directly to dodge junction where the dig was taking place.
When they arrived at the station they had to go through security to make sure they weren't carrying anything dangerous. (They weren't) the security then checked their bag and put it on the train have a good day said the security guard gesturing towards the train. You too replied Sky Feather and Cloud Spark in unison.

When they boarded the train it almost started as soon as they sat down. next stop Dodge Junction announced the train operator as he walked through the carriages. The train jumped into movement and Sky and Cloud were headed for Dodge junction they really wanted to find out what had happened to their parents on this archaeological dig. Sky decided to find his bags and collect them whilst on the train. He slowly walked towards the back of the train and found his and his brothers bags and brought them over to where they were sitting. OK let’s see what this orb thing is about.
