//------------------------------// // Chapter 1: // Story: The Gemstone Ponies // by Dragon_Sayer //------------------------------//         Crystal was nervously pacing back and forth in front of a mirror. The only pony in the room with her was a middle-aged unicorn stallion that had a soft blue coat and a dark blue main with a magnifying glass looking at a piece of paper as his Cutie Mark. “Calm down, Miss Crystal. There is really no need to be so nervous,” the stallion said with a bit of a chuckle.         “I know,” Crystal sighed, only slowing down her pace a bit, “but wouldn’t you feel the same way if you were meeting two ponies that are related to you, and both of them and yourself didn’t know that you had siblings in the first place?” Crystal questioned a bit hysterically.         “I guess I would, but think of it this way the three of you have lived in Ponyville since the three of you were fillies, so you might know each other or at least remember each other in a way.” The stallion said while levitating his drink. “But really, calm down, it won’t do you any good to be so stiff when you meet them.”         Crystal sighed. She knows she acting a bit too dramatic. But there really was a good reason for it. When she was just a foal, according to adoptive parents, her colors started to fade almost to white. In fact the only colors that didn’t change was her coat color (which was already white) and her eye color which stayed their dark blue. She stopped pacing and looked at herself in the mirror. Both her mane and tail were very long, not as long as Fluttershy’s but still very long. The colors of her hair were special, to say the least. She had a total of ten different colors, including white, in her hair. Sadly, this also gave the ponies, that she saw a lot, ammunition to tease her with. Given that she already hated when ponies stared and/or pointed out her odd colored hair, it was made worse when they actually used it to bully her. Since then, she’s been very sensitive about it. Luckily, she did meet someponies who liked her hair like Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, etc. Either, way she still doesn’t like her hair.         She sighed again, and with her magic started to mess with her hair a little. The only good thing about those ponies teasing her was that her magic surpassed most of the other fillies and colts, though she would never actually use her magic to hurt anypony. This also, inadvertently got her Cutie Mark from it. She looked at her flank seeing the unusual Cutie Mark, which was in the shape of a cut diamond and sparkled like one, too. Nopony knows why, even Twilight and Princess Luna don’t know the answer.         There was a knock on the door. The stallion, also know as Mr. Finder, stood up, opened the door, and exited through the door. Now, Crystal was extremely nervous. She heard voices of about five ponies. Two of which were mares so she knew they had to be the two that she was going to meet. ‘Okay, just calm down Crystal. Calm down and breath.’ Crystal thought. She took a couple of deep breaths to calm herself down.         The door opened. “Are you ready Miss?” Mr. Finder asked.         Crystal looked up and looked at him straight in the eye and nodded ‘yes’. Mr. Finder smiled. “Okay, then. Ladies please come in.” The stallion said as he motioned for somepony to come into the room.         Two mares walk into the room, Crystal sees that both of them are pegasi. The three mares went to the center of the room and started to give each other the once over. “I will introduce you three to each other,” Mr. Finder started, “First, this is Miss Cobalt.”         Cobalt was a blue mare with both her mane and tail a rainbow of different shades of blue, except for one streak of white that went through both her mane and tail. Crystal also saw a glimpse of her Cutie Mark wick was very similar to her own except blue.         “Next, is Miss Crimson.”         Crimson was a red mare baring a very close resemblance to Rainbow Dash in both build and both mane and tail style. There quite a few differences though. Her coat was red with both her mane and tail having multiple shades of red going through them. She also had that white streak going through her hair. That’s not the only thing similar, her Cutie Mark was also the same as her and Cobalt’s but red this time.         “And last but not least, is Miss Crystal.”                  Crystal put on a small shy smile, while the others smiled back at her and each other. “Well, I’ll leave you mares alone for a bit while me and my associates discuss other matter.” Mr. Finder said before leaving the room and the three mares alone. ***                  No one said anything for  what seemed like an eternity. Finally, Cobalt spoke up. “So, why don’t we introduce ourselves again and say what we do and/or dream of doing?” Both, Crystal and Crimson, nodded in agreement with this. “Okay. I’ll start then. My name in Cobalt, and I’m part of the weather team but I really want the become captain of the weather team someday.”         “Cool,” Crimson said, “Well, either way, my name is Crimson. I’m also on a weather team, but I want to be a Wonderbolt someday.”         ‘She really sounds like Rainbow Dash. Anyways, they’re both pretty cool. I guess it’s my turn to say something.’ Both mares were looking at her waiting for her to say something. “My name is Crystal. I’m the owner of the Jewelry/Gem Molding shop. Someday, I want to make something that the Princesses asked me to make.”         “Oh, that’s awesome. I didn’t know you’re the ones that makes those amazing figurines!” Crimson exclaimed.         “Yeah, your work is absolutely amazing!” Cobalt also exclaimed.         “Thanks. But what you guys do is really awesome, too.” Crystal said while blushing.                  “Really?” Cobalt said while looking over at Crimson, “It’s really no big deal. Any pegasus can do that job.”         “Well, I think it’s amazing.” Crystal replied.         “You know I was kind of worried that we wouldn’t get along at all, but we seem to get along really well. Hmm, why don’t we meet each other later this week so we can get to know each other better?” Crimson explained with enthusiasm.         “That sounds fun, I’m in. It’ll fun getting to know each other outside of this room!” Crystal exclaimed. “What do you say Crystal, you wanna?”         “Sure,” Crystal replied, “I’m sure it’ll be fun!”         The three mares started to make plans for when they could meet up with each other. They would soon realize that they and their bloodline are more than just ordinary ponies.
