The day of the date Sweetie Belle walked to Sugar Cube Corner at eight O clock. She looked through the window to see Button sitting with Diamond Tiara slurping a milkshake together. Sweetie could see Silver Spoon sitting in the booth next to Diamond and Button she was looking depressed sitting there her head held up by one hoof slurping her milkshake. Sweetie walked in the door and over to Button and Diamond Tiara.
"Hi Sweetie Belle glad you came." Diamond Tiara said brightly.
"Yeah I wouldn't have left you hanging after I said I would come." Sweetie said with no real emotion in her voice which Diamond Tiara took note of.
"So." Sweetie said." I guess I'll go sit with Silver Spoon."
"Yeah she's in the booth behind us." Diamond Tiara said.
Sweetie Belle walked to the booth behind Diamond and Button and sat down across from Silver Spoon.
"Hey Sweetie Belle." Silver Spoon said blushing as Sweetie sat down.
"Hey Silver Spoon." Sweetie said looking past Silver Spoon at Button and Diamond.
"You are probably wondering why I wanted to meet you here right?" Silver Spoon said blushing even more.
"Uh huh." Sweetie said not really listening to Silver Spoon.
"Well the thing is Sweetie I've always thought you were kind of cute." She was bright red now and she began to scoot closer to Sweetie without her noticing.
"Yeah? That's nice." Sweetie said watching Button who was now holding Diamond's hoof.
"I guess what I'm trying to say is..." Silver Spoon blushed and scooted right up against." I like you." she presses her lips against Sweeties catching her off guard she tried to fight it but soon gave up that is when Button and Diamond noticed.
"Hey Sweetie how's it going with Silver?" Diamond Tiara teased.
"Having fun Sweetie?" Button chuckled.
Sweetie Belle ignored them and pulled away from Silver Spoon and looked at her like she was crazy.
"What was that for?!" Sweetie asked Silver Spoon.
"Weren't you listening I just said I like you." Silver Spoon was blushing hard at this point.
"You like me?" Sweetie was thinking of how she could use this to her advantage.
"Yeah do....do you like me?" Silver Spoon looked at her with hopeful eyes behind her Diamond and Button were looking at her curiously.
"Does this answer your question?" Sweetie pressed her lips against Silver Spoons.
"Yes it does." Silver Spoon said blushing.
"Hey maybe you should go somewhere more private Sweetie." Button joked.
"Good idea Button I guess I'll see you guys later." Sweetie grabbed Silver's hoof and dragged her out the door.
"What?!" Buttons jaw dropped to the floor as Sweetie walked out the door with Silver Spoon.
"What wrong Button?" Diamond Tiara asked the colt next to her.
"I didn't expect that to happen so quickly." Button looked at the door that Sweetie disappeared through only moments before.
"Well I am happy for both of them and you should be too Button." Diamond said going back to her milk shake.
"I am." Button went back to slurping the milk shake with Diamond.
The next day Button and Diamond Tiara were walking through town and no matter where they went they always seemed to run into Sweetie and Silver. It was the fifth time they ran into them that both Button and Diamond had had enough.
"Sweetie can I speak to you?" Button asked Sweetie Belle.
"Sure Button." Sweetie stood up and followed Button into the bushes
"Sweetie are you following us?" Button asked with a flat tone. Sweetie looked offended.
"No! If I didn't know any better I would say you are following us!" She says blushing.
"Alright then explain to me why Diamond Tiara and I see you everywhere we go?" Button says with a curious tone.
"Uhhhh coincidence?" Sweetie says with a nervous smile.
"Sweetie listen If there is ever anything wrong you know you can tell me right I mean..." He puts a hoof her hoof on her shoulder." We are friends right?" He gives her an assuring smile.
"Y-yeah." She says holding back tears. She turns and walks out of the bushes hiding her tears as they flow from her eyes." Goodbye." She runs out of the bushes.
Button looks worriedly after her as Diamond Tiara walks into the bushes with Button.
"What happened?" She asks watching Sweetie walk away with Silver Spoon with her head down.
"I don't know....." Button says.
"Well she seems fine to me." Diamond Tiara smirks and nuzzles Button.
