Angel and demons

“Angel can you please eat your salad, you need the protein”. Fluttershy was struggling to get her rabbit friend to cooperate.
Angel bunny just shook his head and scowled at Fluttershy.
“I’ll tell you what just take one more bite and I’ll let you have whatever you want tomorrow, sound good to you”
Angle considered the proposal for a moment and happily took a tiny nibble of his salad.
“Oh you need to take a bigger bite than that”.
The white rabbit just looked at Fluttershy with the same scowl as before.
“Well… I did say one more bite so… okay Angel you win”.
Angel had a triumphant look on his face and hopped away.
“What am I gonna do with that bunny"?
Angel nuzzled in his bed relaxing awaiting his special lunch from Fluttershy, but a sudden crash startled the white rabbit. He hopped to the window and to his surprise he saw a smoldering boulder dug into his front yard. After catching his breath he decided to investigate the rock. Angle got as close as possible to the strange object until the heat was too much. Angle stood in awe of the red glowing orb. He noticed something protruding out the top of the object. It looked like a carrot, a big juicy delicious carrot.
Angel jumped up and landed on top of the object. He pulled and tugged on the carrot until it popped out of the top. Angel tumbled off of the object but the carrot was nowhere to be found until he looked up to see the carrot floating above him
“Thank you for freeing me from my prison young Angel, as a reward I will tell you of a land. It is filled with billions of carrots and carrot based foods you need only jump down this hole but be warned-“ Before he could finish warning him, angle had hopped down the hole that once held the carrot.
“Oh dear he has no idea what he has gotten himself into”, said the carrot
Angel found himself falling and falling with no sign of stopping until he saw the ground. Angel started flailing his arms attempting to fly but to no avail. Right as he was about to hit the solid Earth, below a strong wind grabbed him and slowed his descent. Angel patted the dust off his body he noticed that the wasteland around him was totally void of any carrots.
Angel stomped, kicked rocks, and threw a rather large tantrum. Suddenly a large light descended upon him.
“I was trying to warn you that you would not get to your goal so easily, you first must go through many trials of danger cunning and some other aspects I won’t get into at this time!” The mighty carrots voice boomed and echoed through the valley and wastelands.
“But do not fret angel I will accompany you on your quest although even my great powers have very little strength here I can do little to help you”.
This made angle picture what the great carrot had described even more, now he was motivated. Angel looked to the great carrot with determination in his eyes, he was ready.
“Good now move forward to the north and your first task will appear in time, if you are really prepared to go forth.”
Angel didn’t waste any time, he sprinted forward. Never breaking his stride or faltering for a second that is until he saw his first task.
“Hello angel, good to see you so vulnerable”. It was opal, angel's friend apparently turned enemy.
“Slay the beast, Angel, let not its appearance belittle your courage it is not the opal you know from home. It is merely an illusion”.
Angel looked around for a weapon but with no luck he had to think quickly. Opal could pounce at any moment. Just then, angel saw a large boulder he could hide behind, he kicked dirt into the giant kittens’ eyes. As it was dazed Angel, and the great carrot both dove behind the boulder.
“Now what genius?” The great carrot was not very impressed with angel's quick thinking.
Angel just shrugged and grabbed a rock. He hopped up from the hiding place and tossed it at the still blinded opal. The beast jumped blindly in the direction of the projectile.
Angel and the great carrot ran out of the path of the enraged monster. Angle got an idea and quickly ran toward a small pond in the distance.
“Ooh, I see cats hate water, maybe you’re not as useless as you seem,” the great carrot said sarcastically.
Angel grabbed another rock and tossed it at opal. She quickly sprinted towards angle as it started to get close Angel, moved and opal plunged into the murky water she was clawing and screeching, attempting to get to the surface she quickly dissolved.
Angel panted and gasped, exhausted though he was safe for now.
“WELL DONE ANGLE YOUR ONE STEP FROM THE GREAT CARROT TREASURE.” As the great carrot spoke, a piece of orange metal came out of the pond. The great carrot floated over and collected it, “I assume this is part of our ticket into paradise.” Angel looked at it and it seemed to him that it was an eighth of something. “It seems as though an object is required to enter the place we seek. I assume we will earn the rest of the fragments by conquering more quests and challenges. Well there is no use standing around like a bunch of corn stalks. Let us venture forth into the valley not knowing what await us in the dark cold agonizing-“
Before the great carrot could finish angel started ‘venturing’ into the valley
Prologue of chapter one:
Soon young angel shall you know my real intentions and then I will have obtained my ultimate desire… I am truly sorry to have used you the way I have but this is the only way I can get home… home where everyone is like us.
