//------------------------------// // Twilight's Only Friend // Story: After is Sad // by RainbowSkunk //------------------------------// Twilight Dear Journal, It has almost been a year since the war. My friends have still been ignoring me. I still wonder why Spike won't talk to me. He never leaves his room. Rainbow Dash doesn't talk to anypony anymore. Same with Pinkie. Every time I visit her, she talks to her dolls that look like us, the elements of harmony. My only friend is Princess Luna. I tend to visit her once and a while. She tells me stories about when she first became a princess. She talked about how Celestia ignored her and that's how she turned into Nightmare Moon. Still, It must be hard. Luna barely raises the sun because it reminds her of her sister. Let you know if anything else happens. Twilight Sparkle ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I put down my diary. I heard something downstairs. I ran down as fast as I could. "Spike!" I yelled happily. "Hi Twilight." Spike responded. I went in for a hug, but Spike just grabbed some food and walked back to his room. Soon before the war, I decided Spike should get his own room. I let him have the guest room, and now he never leaves it. "Spike, what's wrong?" I asked. "You used to be happy." "That was old Spike. The Spike before the war." Spike answered. He slammed the door. I sighed. I decided to go to Canterlot to see hoe Luna was doing. I lit my horn. I learned how to teleport much farther than before. I body started to glow. Suddenly, I was in Canterlot, outside the castle. I walked inside. I've been here so much the guards didn't worry about me. Also, I'm a princess. They can't really tell me to leave. I walked up the stairs. I walked to the hallway. There were two doors right across from each other. One had a sun on it. The other had a moon. I knocked on the door with the moon. "Who is it?" A pony asked from inside. "Me, Twilight." I answered. Luna opened the door. "Hello Twilight." she greeted. "Come in." I walked in and sat on a cushion at a table. Luna sat across from me. "So Twilight Sparkle, how have you been? Anything new in Ponyville?" she asked. "No. It's the same as before." I answered. I sighed. Luna sighed as well. "Twilight, do you know what day it is tomorrow?" Luna asked. I pondered it for a while. I finally realized what day it was. "It's ok, Luna. We don't have to celebrate." I comforted. "No Twilight. We have to." Luna said. "It's tradition." "Luna, I don't think the ponies of Equestria will mind missing one Summer Sun Celebration." I explained. Luna shook her head. "I just don't know what to do. I've never had to rule Equestria on my own. I wish Celestia was here." she said. "Luna, you've been doing great on your own." I said. "Celestia would be so proud." I noticed tears coming from Luna's eyes. I walked over to hug her. "Don't worry." I said. "It's ok." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It was late so I decided to go back to my library in Ponyville. I lit my horn and teleported back. I walked up the stairs to my room. I got in my bed and I closed my eyes. "Tomorrow won't be different." I told myself. The next day I decided that I wouldn't see Luna today. I wanted to see my other friends. I decided to start with Pinkie. If I could make her happy, I could make anypony happy. I walked outside and headed for Sugar Cube Corner.
