The personifications of the Elements sat in a circle, with Twilight Sparkle in the center. In the circle were Applejack-the Element of Honesty, Rainbow Dash, the Element of Loyalty, Pinkie Pie, the Element of Laughter, Fluttershy, the Element of Kindness, and Rarity, the Element of Generosity. In the center sat Twilight Sparkle, the Element of Magic.
They sat in the circle, waiting for Twilight to call their Elements forth. She moved to Applejack. "As the Element Magic, I use my authority to call the Element, Honesty, to us!" And with that, Twilight could feel Applejack's honesty. She looked down at Applejack, who was smiling, Emerald green eyes sparkling. Twilight smiled back at her.
She then moved to Rainbow Dash. "As the Element Magic, I use my authority to call the Element, Loyalty, to us!" With that said, Twilight then saw the pure loyalty in Rainbow's soul. Twilight looked down at Rainbow, who was smiling broadly. Twilight shook her head playfully and rolled her eyes and she walked to the next Element.
But, Twilight didn't have time to call the next Element to her, because the Elements were attacking her friends. Applejack was pressed to the ground by a furious yellow light, Rainbow was trapped in a red cage, Pinkie Pie was encased in a pool of blue, bottomless light, Fluttershy was holding her head against the ground against the green light, and Rarity screamed, full of fear for the magenta light.
Twilight tried to rush toward them, but a purple light poked and pinched at her. She shielded her eyes with her hooves, but the purple light was too painful and powerful. She couldn't squint through it. The last thing Twilight saw before the light powered her to the ground were her friends, so sad and scared, and she couldn't do anything about it. Twilight eventually blacked out and knocked out.

When they woke up, their heads throbbed and bodies ached. They couldn't even remember what happened. They got up slowly, their bodies hurting, but not as much as it does when they stay still. Then, when Rarity got up, she screamed, alarming everybody in the room. "Rarity, what's wrong!?" Everyone yelled.
Then they noticed something different about Rarity. There was a scar from the top of her eyebrow, to the bottom of her eye. Her mane also glowed a magenta color. "Rarity! What happened?" Rainbow yelled. When Rarity didn't answer, but shrieked instead, Fluttershy moved closer to her and threw her forelegs around her. Rarity continued to shriek and shiver.
Twilight saw her, and was dumbfounded. Rarity had her eyes closed and was pressing her hooves to her ears furiously, as if it could stop the pain. Rarity was having a vision! Wait, a vision? Rarity never had vision! Twilight moved closer to Rarity. "What re you seeing?" Twilight said frantically. Rarity muttered something in response Twilight couldn't catch.
Then just like that, Rarity's eyes rolled back in her head and she went limp in Fluttershy's grip. "What happened to her?" Pinkie asked. Rainbow shrugged worriedly. Rarity took one look at Spike, who had just walked into the room, and screamed horridly. Spike cowered in the corner. "Rarity? What's wrong?" Rarity then jerked up. "That hurt my head." Rarity squeaked.
Then Twilight heard flames crackle and burn something. Twilight jerked her head around to see Rainbow shrinking back in horror as one of Twilight's books caught on fire and burned to ashes. "I swear I didn't do it on purpose!" Rainbow squeaked. Twilight observed that Rainbow's hooves were on fire and she looked like someone turned the light on inside her. She glowed with internal fire.
Then Twilight felt a wind rustling everything and lifting her mane up in the air. "Applejack, close the door!" Twilight yelled. "Sugar! That ain't no door!" Applejack yelled back. Twilight whipped around to see a wind storm swirling around the orange earth pony. Twilight sat down and massaged her temple thoughtfully.
"EVERYTHING'S WET!" Pinkie Pie yelled. Twilight whipped around lazily to see the ghost of the sea lapping against her hooves. Twilight gripped her ears and groaned, then she smelled freshly-cut hay and an apple orchard and heard birdsong. Twilight whipped around again, feeling very dizzy to see something she REALLY wasn't ready to see.
There was a patch of a meadow under where Fluttershy was sitting and whimpering. Then, the ground started to shake and the ponies floated off the ground and went into the air. "Woah! Wha...What's happ...ppening!" Rarity said shakily. Rainbow tried to steady herself, Applejack fell to the ground, Pinkie bounced happily, Twilight screamed, and Fluttershy's eyes were glowing green.
"Fluttteeerrrssshhhyyy! Wwhhaat aarree you ddoingg!?" Rainbow tried to talk, but she stuttered. Rarity threw her forelegs around Fluttershy in order to calm her down. Eventually, the ground stopped shaking and Fluttershy went limp in Rarity's hold. "Twilight! What the heck is happening!" Rainbow yelled. Twilight widened her eyes in horror at what she saw.
A furious whirlwind pressed Applejack to the ground fiercely, Rainbow Dash was trapped in a cage of fire, a bunch of Twigs grew into a cave around Fluttershy's unconscious body, Pinkie was encased in a sea of bottomless water, and Rarity fell to the ground, screaming in agony and hooves clutching her ears. Twilight then felt a pain rush into her stomach, spreading to her heart.
Twilight fell to the ground beside Rarity and Fluttershy and shrieked in pain. Twilight's vision wavered, causing her friends to go in and out of focus. The last thing she saw before she was overpowered was Applejack struggling against the wind, Rainbow fainting from the heat, Pinkie gasping for air, Fluttershy whimpering in her unconscious state, and Rarity screaming in agony.
Then, Twilight heard a distant "Twilight? TWILIGHT!? WAKE UP!" as if it was a million miles away from her hearing range, even though something told her it came form right in front of her face. Eventually, she screamed in sorrow one last time, before blacking out.
