Chapter 3

*Whoosh* *Thud*

"Mmm, yep, definitely taking a holiday." I groaned to myself as I just lay on the ground. After using the Instant Transmission technique, I was feeling to weak to actually even try and move let alone get up.

'Well, at least I know I made it home.' I said to myself as I smile formed over my face. I finally opened my eyes to have a look around, but doing so made my smile drop. In confusion to what I saw, I pushed myself into a sitting position and looked around.

I was in some room that looked like no one had entered in at least 2000 years. As far as I could tell, it looked like old bed chambers that were part of one of those prehistoric stone castles.

There was a bed that was broken with torn bed sheets, a desk that somehow still stood, but looked very aged and ready to break, a couple of book shelves with books that were so deteriorated that they were non-readable, a shattered window, holes in the roof and walls, vines growing everywhere and finally, everything was covered in a layer of dust at least 3 inches thick.

I stood up and walked over to the book shelf and levitated out a single book, frowning as I realized that I just used magic from my horn like it was natural.

'What the hell did she do to me?' I asked myself as I thought about that stupid connection. Whatever it did, it made me worried, but I had better things to worry about at the time.

I shook off my concern and concentrated on the what I was doing. I opened the book, but let out a sigh as I realized that the words were so faded that they were not readable whatsoever. I went to put the book back carefully, but it just fell apart and blew all over the room.

I rolled my eyes and began to make my way over to the window, but stopped and looked at the bed on the way.

I knew it wasn't exactly in good sleeping order, but I had to test it. I gave the bed a very light jab with my forehoof and as I expected, the bed collapsed and fell apart. I let out a small laugh, I don't know why, but that was just funny to me.

I continued to the window before heard a crunch under my hoof followed by a sharp pain.

"Ow." I said as I lifted my forehoof of the ground only to see a few small drops of blood leak from a new cut on my forehoof. I looked down to the ground and saw that I had stood on a shard of glass that was once part of the window. The ground was covered in glass. I used my magic and sweeped the glass to the sides and continued to th window before looking out of it.

Outside was nothing special. All I could see was some dark and dank forest and the sky was dark and cloudy.

'Where the hell am I?' I asked myself. When I used the Instant Transmission technique, I thought of home. But this isn't home, I have never lived in some stupid old castle. I was pretty sure I would have remembered that.

I made for the door, but my eyes caught a glimpse of the desk. I stopped and changed direction to the desk.

I looked over the desk and saw nothing that interesting about it. The desktop was clear of anything but dust and the drawers were empty. I let out a small growl before giving the desk a solid punch, causing it to fall apart like it was a pile of burnt wood ready to be turned to ash.

I let out a sigh and was about to walk away, but something else caught my eye. A small glint of gold.

I carefully pushed aside the scrap wood and extracted the small piece of gold from the pile, but only to find myself a small dirty necklace. I levitated a small section to the bed sheets over and used it as a rag to clean the necklace. When I was done, I was left with a golden necklace that had a medallion that was the shape of Celestia's cutie mark.

How I knew what a cutie mark was...?

Anyway, I turned the medallion over in front of my face, examining it closely as I did. I noticed a small line down the edge and a hinge on the other side. It was a locket.

I opened the locket s carefully as I could and was met with a small photo on one side and an engraving on the other side. I looked that the photo and saw Celestia hugging a small colt. A small colt that looked like... me, but younger. Celestia seemed so happy in the photo and so did the little colt. I turned my attention to the engraving and began to read.

~~~~~
To my little sunshine. I will always be there for you. All you need do is ask. Love Mommy.
~~~~~

Short but simple. I think that Celestia gave this locket to Solaris so that he would always remember her. It's too bad that she ended up loosing him.

'This doesn't mean anything Orion. You are still a saiyan and not some pony just because another pony wants you to be.' I told myself. 'I just need to recover a bit and try and get home again. The only thing is, I have to try and find a way to change back to my natural form.'

I placed the locket back down on the scraps of wood. It wasn't my place to take it after all. It wasn't meant for me.

I pulled my gaze away from the necklace and began to make my way over to the door out of the room, but to my growing frustration, something else caught my attention. The sound of fluttering coming through the window.

I turned my head and my eyes widened in shock as a huge flare of fire came at me. I dropped to my stomach, narrowly avoiding the flare and rolled to the side before turning and glaring at whatever the flare was.To my confusion, I saw that it was not just a lick of fire of any sort, but actually a living creature, a bird.

"Hey, a phoenix." I said as the phoenix landed down on what was left of the desk an looked at me quizzically. I cautiously made my way back over to the desk, watching the phoenix as I did just to make sure it didn't attack me.

I manage to walk right up to the phoenix and sit down in front of it. But as I tried to carefully reach out a hoof to pet it, it took off again before landing on my hoof and rubbing its face against mine.

"Woah! Friendly little bird aren't you?" I asked rhetorically before pulling my head away and standing three of my four legs. After I stood up, the phoenix, flew up off my foreleg and made its new perch on my back.

I looked to the bird that rested on my back with a confused expression. I was confused as to why a bird that was made of fire was making itself at home on me like I had its complete trust. I didn't question its existence because my mind quickly reminded me of what I was at the time. I shook off my thoughts about the phoenix and began to leave the room.

'So, situation assessment. I now I have a phoenix that basically acts like a pet, an Alicorn that claims to be my mother and who probably is very angry with me for head-butting her in the face, my power level feels as if it is only around 900 or so because of my weakened condition and finally, I still need to find a way to change back to my saiyan form and then find a way home.' I thought to myself before letting out a sigh. 'Ugh, what did I do to deserve this?'

I exited the room out into what looked like a hallway. It would have looked normal, but the damages to the walls and roof were far worse than what they were inside the bed chambers I had left.

I looked from left to right, observing the hallway and saw that the doorway I had just come through was two doors down from a dead end. I counted a total of 7 doors in the hallway, but I was not going to just go looking around in them all. My plan was to just get out of this castle.

I looked for an exit for three straight hours, just kind of floating from one place to another while looking for an exit. But to my fortune, I found what looked like a lobby or foyer.

I was a large room with nothing but some sort of stone structure in the middle of the room. But I looked passed that and saw a large set of double doors that led out into the open.

I began to make my way for the exit, but as I did so, the phoenix that had been resting on my back took off again and flew out of where the roof should have been. I would have done that for a start, but none of the holes in the roof were large enough for me to fit through. But this particular room basically had no roof what so ever.

'I wonder what could have caused the roof to be destroyed.' I thought to myself as I noticed that there was a large amount of rubble laying around.

I shrugged off the though and continued to make my way outside. I walked across the destroyed room, floating over any rubble that was bigger than me before finally stepping through the double doors and outside into the dark field that the castle seemed to rest in.

I saw what looked like a rope bridge that spanned over a chasm and led into the forest. I began to make my way in that direction, having nothing better. But I stopped when I heard a loud screech behind me.

I looked back through the double doors of the ruined castle and spotted the same phoenix that I saw before, but my eyes widened and my heart dropped when I saw what was behind it.

Ponies... And lots of them.

"Seize him!!!" shouted a pony I was already to familiar with. It was Day Star, wearing her set of golden armour with helmet and all. But behind her, there was a mass of ponies who were wearing either gold or obsidian coloured armour. How I had managed to walk passed them all without realizing was beyond me.

I tried to back away, but ended up backing into something. Turning around, I found even more guards behind me. I was completely surrounded on both ground and in sky. I think that their entire military force was there to get me.

On instinct, I tried to power up what Ki I had in me, but to my dismay, I couldn't. Something was blocking my power and leaving me completely helpless. I looked around and saw that basically every unicorn had an aura surrounding their horns.

'They must be working together magically to overpower me.' I thought to myself. I tried once more to raise my Ki level and failing as I did before, but this time I saw the unicorns auras brighten before their faces consorted into one of struggle. 'Damn, they are using magic to weaken me.'

In a desperate attempt, I opened my wings and took off in an attempt to run, but I felt something grab me. I looked back and saw a pegasus was holding me before another also joined him followed by another and another.

With my power being restricted because of the unicorns, I was probably less of a challenge than a common criminal, but they weren't taking any chances with my escape.

I tried to break free of the multitude of pegasi that had latched onto me and who were trying to force me to land, but unfortunately for me, they were not letting go any time soon and there fore, I ended up being brought back down to the ground.

"No, let go of me!" I shouted as I continued to struggle.

I slipped from one ponies grasp and used that to my advantage. With my free foreleg, I grabbed another pony and used him to hit the other holding my other foreleg, freeing it in the process.

With both of my forelegs free, I began to punch and swing at the guards holding me, hitting them all in the face just to stun them and make them let me go.

"Sweet Celestia this colt is hard to get a hold of!" one stallion guard that was holding me shouted before I knocked him off as well.

I got down to only having one more guard holding me. I was about to knock him off like I did the rest, but as I brought up my forehoof to strike him, another pony grabbed it and forced it behind my back in a submissive hold.

I kept trying to get out of the hold, but I was pushed to the ground on my stomach. I then rolled over onto my back which caused me to be able to get out of the submissive hold before looking up to the pony who had me.

It was Day Star, she was the pony who had tried to put me into a submissive hold. But fortunately for me, I managed to get out of it and now I had another chance.

I used my wings to quickly push myself up and instantly tackled Day Star before putting her in a head lock and using her as a pony shield as I flew up into the sky.

"Get back or I will snap her neck!!!" I warned loudly, causing everypony to freeze. I couldn't really bring myself to hurt her, but they didn't know that.

"Solaris!" one pony called up from the ground. I looked down and spotted the same white unicorn who wore the purple armour that held me in the air back at Celestia's castle.

"Who the hell are you!?" I demanded.

"Please, let me explain myself and don't hurt that guard." he pleaded. I glared at him for a moment before slowly lowering myself back to the ground. But as I landed, I forced Day Star into a sitting position and continued to hold her in a headlock.

"Alright pony. You have one minute." I said calmly.

"Ok. My name is Shining Armour, captain of the royal guard and husband to Princess Cadence, your cousin." I recoiled a bit when he said that, but I allowed him to continue. "We truly mean you no harm sir. We were simply ordered to bring you back to Canterlot for your own safety."

"What makes you think I need help. I can take care..." I began, but Shining Armour cut me off.

"Sir, I do not doubt your ability, but you are in more need of help than you realize. I was informed that not only did you run before your treatment in hospital could be completed, but you also interrupted Princess Celestia from opening your connection to her. She said that if the link is not opened completely, your mind will slowly begin to deteriorate from being overloaded." he said.

"Haha, yeah right. I'm not falling for it." I said with a laugh.

"Sir, please. Why are you so against trusting your mother?" he asked. I let out a puff of air through my nose before glaring at him.

"SHE IS NOT MY MOTHER!!!" I bellowed, causing everypony to take a step back in shock. "I don't know what you all did to me, but before I appeared here, I was a saiyan who was just trying to save his home planet but failed. And instead of dying like I should have, I wake up to find myself in this place and in this body. All I want to do is find my way back home and leave all of this behind." I explained.

"Ok, let me ask. What is the earliest memory you have back on... 'your home world'?" Shining asked.

"I-I don't know. I remember waking up in hospital. Apparently I was injured in a fight." I said.

"And let me guess. You were 9 years old at the time?" he guessed, causing my eyes to widen.

"How do you know that!?" I demanded.

"This is going to sound strange, but I will try and explain off every thing I know. Your name is Solaris, and you are truly an Alicorn. I was informed that Solaris, A.K.A, you, went missing at the age of 9 years old. So I am guessing that you found a way to run away to another planet or something, but something went wrong and you ended up injuring yourself." Shining said as he pieced together one possible scenario.

"E-Even if that was true, it still doesn't explain how I became a saiyan on earth... Wait, why am I even listening to this. You are just trying to break me." I said as I shook my head. What he was talking about made sense but I didn't want to believe it.

It was at that moment I felt something in my head, something off. I felt as if my brain was being squeezed.

"No, Solaris! Don't resist the connection. Its not safe." Shining pleaded.

"Argh, get away from me!!!" I shouted before throwing Day Star at him and quickly taking off into the air.

I got up about 400 metres into the air and just hovered before grasping my head in my forelegs. The pain inside my head was becoming unbearable very quickly, and it was getting worse.

I began to writhe and shout in pain, which caused my wings to lock and I began to fall back down to the ground. But I didn't care about myself falling, I just wanted to pain to go away. I clenched my eyes shut and gritted my teeth as I tried to hold my head tighter, but nothing seemed to make the pain go away.

As I was falling, I felt something slam into me, changeing my direction to the side before bringing me back down to the ground. When I was set down, I continued to roll around and thrash in pain, but I eased as I heard a voice inside my head.

"Sleep nephew."

I opened my eyes and saw Princess Luna, sister of Celestia standing over me with a sad smile.

"Close thou eyes and rest thou mind. Thee deserves rest." said the voice. Luna's mouth did not move, but I knew it was her that was talking to me in my mind.

She then faintly light up her horn and I felt the pain in my head fade before a wave of tiredness wash over me, making my eyes droop. I tried to stay awake, but I couldn't.

I closed my eyes and again was forced into sleep.
