"So tell me again why we're hiding in the bushes?" Kami asked as AJ placed a hoof over his mouth and giggled like a filly. Kami pushing her hoof away for a moment to continue. "And right outside yer house too." He spoke out in a gruff whisper.
"Because its fun and ah know mah brother'll come outside teh see what all the noise is about." She giggled again as she peeked through the bushes toward the front porch.
After having their fun in the orchard, the two had decided that they were in the mood for a little prank war. Big Macintosh had previously pranked his eldest sister earlier in the week by trading out her shampoo for an enchanted one that would change her mane and coat colors at random when she did something out of character. It would only stay that way for about an hour, but she would get some stares from everypony in the mean time. Currently her mane was a jet black and her coat a pristine white. Which, to Kamis delight, made him love up on her a little more.
"Ah swear Kami, quite it! It's like ya'll are getting antsy again er sumthin."
"Can't help it, that long black mane, those emerald green eyes. I may like blondes...." He purred. "But seeing you as a brunette, it hurts me so good!" He chuckled, pulling her to him as he began to nibble along her neck making her giggle louder.
"Whut in the world is all that noise?!" Big Macintosh bellowed from inside the house as he began walking to the door.
"Stop it, stop stop! Here he comes!" AJ spoke in a shouting whisper, shoving the unicorn to the side and almost out of the bush they were hiding inside. The two paused, watching silently as Big Macintosh stepped out of the front door and into view before pulling a string that was attached to a bucket just above the door, sending its contents onto the stallion below.
The two continued watching as Big Mac was suddenly covered in blue flowers, then watching him begin to freak out as he ran back into the house in a panic. As soon as he was inside, Applejack busted out laughing. Kami, sat there, perplexed as to why his new mare friend would think that pelting somepony with blue flowers, was apparently funny.
"You know AJ, you never told me why this was considered a prank. I mean, blue flowers? What's the point in dumping flowers on him?"
"Well, ya see. That there flower is called poison joke, an it plays a prank on the pony that touches it. A while back, me and the girls got inteh some of it by accident. It made me shrink down teh the size of an apple. The girls had other weird stuff happen to'em too."
Kami blinked a couple of times before furrowing his brow in disbelief.
"What?! You have got to be pulling my leg! So what does it do to yer brother?" He asked, clearly curious as to what could happen to the stallion they had just pranked.
"Come on inside an ya'll will see... er.... hear rather." She chuckled as they stepped out of the bush and headed inside.
Once inside they could hear the shower running hard upstairs, and made their way up to listen carefully. After about ten minutes the water turned off as the clip clop of hooves sounded off, signalling that Big Macintosh was stepping out of the shower and drying off. Another minute passed before AJ tapped on the door for a second.
"Hey big brother, *Snicker* Ya'll awright in there." She sputtered slightly, trying to hold in the laugh that was desperately trying to escape her.
"Ya'll better run, cause ahm gonna buck ya'll upside the head when ah get ahold of ya." Came a shrill voice from inside, causing AJ to bust out laughing so hard she fell over. Kami on the other hoof, snickered slightly upon hearing the tone of voice that was now escaping the red stallion within.
"Oh my God..... her sounds just like...." He paused as the door erupted open, revealing a very angry looking stallion.
"Sounds like whut!?" He shouted in the shrill voice only to cause AJ to laugh as she bolted down the stairs from her brother. Kami began laughing as he finished.
"Just like Pee Wee Herman!" He laughed loudly. "Oh God, I'm going to die!" He laughed so hard he fell over holding his gut. All the time, Big Macintosh glaring at him.
"Oh yer gonna pay fer this!" The red stallion bellowed as he bolted after his eldest sister, hurdling the youngest as he skidded into the wall at the top of the stairs, then bolting down them after a cackling Applejack.
"Whut in the world?" Applebloom spoke out in slight shock as she ducked under her brother as he jumped over her, then peeking through the banister to watch as he ran after AJ out the door.
"Why is mah brother chasing sis?" The filly asked as she trotted over to the now slightly laughing unicorn stallion as he was getting to his hooves.
"Oy, heh heh, we dropped a bunch of poison joke on'im, now he sounds hilarious." Kami continued laughing, only to pause as a set of small hooves met his shin, causing him to fall over in pain. "AAAAHHH! OW! GOD! WHY?!" He yelled as he glared at the filly.
"Serves ya right fer pickin on mah brother." She huffed. "Apples take up fer one another, and it don't matter how big ya are, ah'll buck ya upside the head!" She nodded, glaring a hole through the stallion.
"Take it easy kid, it was just a joke. Applejack said there was a cure for it earlier, so it's no big deal." He groaned, rubbing his shin with his other foreleg, attempting to rub away the sting of the buck he had just received.
"That may be, but it ain't right teh pick on Big Mac. What if'n ya'll got hit with that there poison joke huh? Doubt ya'll'd be happy then." She huffed again, turning and heading down the stairs.
Kami sat there in silence for a moment as he mulled over what the affects of the poison joke would be on himself. Looking through the banister to the front door below, he noticed that the blue flowers were still laying in the spot they had fallen, just outside the door.
"Well.... AJ did say there was a cure." He smiled nervously. "I wonder what it would do to me...." He trailed off thinking about what his mare friend had told him about what had happened to her friends. "Let's see..." He began to speak to himself as he walked down the stairs toward the flowers laying on the front porch.
"Upside down wings, shrinking, fat tongue, wild hair, floppy horn with semi-useless magic, voice change, and they seem to have the same affect on the pony each time they come in contact with poison joke." He paused looking at the flowers on the porch as he stood in the door way to the farm house.
"Move yer flank Kami!" AJ yelled as she continued laughing, looking back to see her brother still chasing her. She turned back just in time to jump over her colt friend as he ducked while still in the door way.
"Watch it, you almost, OOF!" He began to protest only to pause as he was plowed over by the red stallion chasing Applejack. The two tumbled over one another several times through the door, onto the porch, through the poison joke, and right off the edge of the porch into the dirt, still covered in the blue flowers.
"Owwwww." Came a feminine voice from the dust as it began to settle. "Couldn't you have just jumped... over... me?" Kami trailed off as he listened to himself talk, or rather, herself now.
"Ya'll got teh be kidding meh!" Big Macintosh began to chuckle as he pulled himself off the mare that he had plowed into.
Dusting herself off, Kami began to look herself over, peering down and between her legs to verify what she was indeed, what she thought she was.
"Dammit!" Kami yelled as she shook a hoof at the sky for no reason.
"Are ya done chasing meh now big brother?" AJ chuckled as she trotted up to the two, pausing as she noticed that the pony standing next to him looked like her colt friend, but seemed a little off.
"Kami, ya'll awright..." She trailed off as she trotted up to them, staring wide eyed at the mare that had taken her colts place.
"I will be once I get my....." He paused seeing Applebloom come out onto the porch. "Once I'm a stallion again!" He finished, turning red in the face.
"Pffft!" Came a muffled laughed from the filly as she covered her mouth with a hoof.
"Oh come on, don't you start laughing at me!" Kami began to protest, only to get all three of them to laugh at his plight.

A short time passed as the stallion turned mare, made her way into town with Applejack and Big Macintosh. The two farmers giving the unicorn some playful banter as they trudged along toward the spa.
"This has got teh be the funniest thang ah've seen in years." Applejack chortled as they trotted along. Kami giving an annoyed sigh as she lowered her head, showing said annoyance.
"Yea, this is an absolute blast." Kami groaned, but began to smile slightly as the spa came into view just down the street. "But all of that is about to change, seeing as the spa is just a few strides away." She chuckled.
"Oh come on now, being a mare ain't that bad." Applejack began to berate the she stallion. "Ya'll got it easy as a stallion. Ya get teh pick any mare ya want, an they're throwing themselves at ya. Heck, ah'd be a stallion if'n it was that easy teh just up'n switch like ya'll did."
At that comment, Kami couldn't help but raise a brow toward her marefriend. Was it really that bad in this world when trying to find the opposite sex to be with? He would have to find out many of the specifics when she had the chance to look them up. For now, however, she was about to go into the spa to have this dreadful joke removed from her body.
As the three trotted into the spa, Kami couldn't help but pause and look around at the ornate building. It was a serene scene to behold. The fixtures were all made of an eleborately chiseled marble. A large open fountain was in the middle of the front room while many of the other fixtures or statues looked to be a mixture of marble and limestone pressed together in segments. There was even a doorway that seemed to be made of a clear looking gem that glowed softly.
"Ah said, ya'll awright sugarcube?" Applejack bellowed for the fifth time in front of Kami, knocking her from her reverie.
"Huh, Oh, sorry, I was looking around at all of the decor. I don't think I've ever been in such a beautiful shop before, kinda takes yer breath away at first glance." She chucked, feeling a little nervous about how much this cure was going to be to remove the poison joke.
As the two talked for a moment, Big Macintosh took it upon himself to give the little bell a ring at the front counter.
"Welcome, welcome! Oh, Big Macintosh, it has been a while since we have seen you." Lotus beamed toward the red stallion as he rolled his eyes. "Let me guess, the usual?" Aloe asked as she gave a soft giggle, only to pause as the stallion gave a nod.
"Wait... the usual? So I take it this happens to you a lot?" Kami asked as she trotted up to his side.
"And what is this? Do we have a mare with you today?" Lotus glared slightly toward Kami, and then back to the farmer.
"Well, if you mean that I can join him to get the cure for poison joke, then sure." Kami smirked. "But other than that, no, I'm not with him."
Aloe and Lotus paused, looking to one another and then back to the dark blue mare before them as they spoke in unison.
"So you need a poison joke cure all as well?"
"Yep."
"But we do not see anything wrong with you." Aloe began.
"And your voice sounds fine, unlike a certain stallions." Lotus finished causing them both to giggle.
"Well..." Kami began, feeling a pang of worry spread through his gut as he was about to divulge what had happened.
"The poison joke turned mah stallion inteh this here mare." Applejack quickly spat out, causing her to gawk in disbelief.
At this, the two spa ponies looked to one another with a slightly saddened expression before turning back to the small group in front of them.
"Poison joke..." Lotus trailed off as her sister picked up. "We are very sorry, but we have run out of the ingredients to make the cure for poison joke." "It will be a week before we can get another batch in." "We are very sorry!" Both of the spa ponies gave a slight bow to their customers, both of which were gawking in disbelief at the information they had just been given.
