Chapter 6
The next few days Feathermane explored everything she could. She tried all sorts of fun new things and made friends with the townsfolk. Nothing out of the ordinary happened, she just had fun and learned! Rainbow Dash had taught her about all sorts tricks she could do. Feathermane was definitely going to show these off to her friends back at home. Pinkie Pie told her all sorts of weird stories that made no sense but were funny and Rarity had shown her ways to match your jewelry with your outfit. Feathermane didn't let on how bored she was at Rarity's turn to teach because she didn't want to make her feel bad. Instead she pretended to be fascinated but truth be told she probably wasn't going to use this advice back home. 
Today was her last day in Ponyville. Feathermane was going to miss this place a lot. These ponies had respected her and became close friends. They made her happy but she also had friends back in her own town who were probably freaking out that she was gone. Feathermane asked if she could be alone these last few hours to say goodbye. The other ponies happily obliged as the knew how important this was. Feathermane flew over to the small lake on the edge of town. She sat for awhile thinking of all the fun things she had done. This was a week she wouldn't forget, that's for sure. Feathermane heard a noise from behind her. She turned around startled and saw the pony from her dreams standing behind her. "Princess Luna!" Feathermane cried. She ran over to the moon ruler and bowed down. The princess prodded her gently with a hoof. 
"There is no need for you to be so formal." she giggled helping the small breezie up. She grinned and said "I bet you never thought you'd see us- I mean me here." Feathermane nodded her head in agreement. "I assume you have figured out what the dream meant, correct?"
Feathermane nodded her head once more then said "I think it was telling me that even though it's fun exploring stuff and making new friends I have old friends waiting for me to come back. That's why I was going to leave today. My friends are waiting but they can't wait forever."
Princess Luna gave a small nod of her head "That is all true. But I still cannot figure out why the dreamscape has given you such a harsh way of saying it." She smiled and said "Now, I think you have some friends waiting for you back home." She stood up and started walking back to the town of Ponyville. Feathermane followed close behind. They entered the town and heard many gasps and ponies recognized the lunar princess. Ponies frantically ran around trying to tidy up for the royal visitor. Many apologies were heard along with ponies bowing down. "PONIES OF PONYVILLE! PLEASE DO NOT BE ALARMED, THIS IS A NORMAL VISIT. I REFUSE TO ACCEPT THIS BOWING AND APOLOGISING. NOW STAND UP AND GET BACK TO WHAT YOU WERE DOING." Princess Luna boomed in her royal Canterlot voice. Hearing the commotion Pinkie Pie ran up to the princess. For some reason Pinkie sniffed her before gasping and running off. "I will never understand that pony..." Luna said looking lost for a moment. "Never mind. Feathermane it's time you get home." She took off at a fast pace with the small breezie chasing her.
Luna stopped once she reached a familiar library. She knocked on the wooden door then went in. She didn't even wait for anypony to come get her or welcome her in. "Princess Luna!" A surprised voice said. Twilight walked up behind the lunar princess before bowing down. "What are you doing here?" 
"Rise Twilight. This isn't a royal visit. There is no need to be so formal." Luna helped Twilight up then smiled. "Now we came here because if you recall it's time for Feathermane to go home." 
Twilight nodded her head then said "I'll go get my friends. They will probably want to be here." She trotted out of the library and left Luna and Feathermane alone. They stood in silence waiting for everypony to return. After about ten minutes of browsing the books Twilight returned with five other ponies. Feathermane flew over to the familiar pink and yellow pegasus and sat of her head.
"Is everypony ready?" Twilight asked. She was answered by the many nodding heads. "It's best if we go to where the portal closed of last time." Twilight beckoned to the door. The group including princess Luna left the town of Ponyville to head to the portal.
During their small trek the group realized somepony was missing. "Pinkie Pie!" Rainbow Dash let out and agitated growl. "That pony was here when we left the library. How did we miss her leave?" She bonked herself with her hoof but didn't do anything too drastic. The ponies decided that it would be best to just keep going. After all they were halfway there and turning back would be useless. The 6 ponies and breezie entered the clearing where the portal would be summoned. What they saw made them all stare with dropped jaws. Pinkie Pie was standing in the clearing with balloons tied to every little thing possible. Streamers hung in the trees and a blanket was laid out with various food items on top. 
Pinkie bounced over to the surprised ponies and swooped them over to the blanket. "I decided to make a double party! One for Princess Luna's arrival and another as a goodbye party!" Pinkie bounced super high then landed on the blanket. "LET"S PARTY!!!" Pinkie ran over to a jukebox she had somehow managed to get here. She turned it one then chose a perky song. The music blasted out into the clearing and everypony started to dance. After all why let this party go to waste?
After the excitement went away and everypony had helped pick up it was time for Feathermane to go home. Princess Luna nodded her head to Twilight and watched as she began the spell. Her horn glowed then sparks started to fly. Twilight grunted from her effort and flew back as a particularly large amount of energy flew out of her hitting the stone face that the portal should form on. A bright light flashed temporarily blinding everypony. When it faded a swirling portal was left. Inside you could see the breezie village. 
"I guess this is goodbye. Thanks for everything guys. I won't forget you." Feathermane said sadly a tear running down her face. every word she said was true. They all gathered for a group hug.
"Thanks Princess Luna for helping me in my dreams. And thank you too Fluttershy for helping me in Ponyville." Feathermane turned to go to the portal. With a deep breath she entered and vanished into the swirling mass. It closed behind her almost as soon as she went through. She was back home.
Feathermane opened her eyes. She blinked a few times to adjust to the light. She was almost instantly thrown to the ground and she felt a pair of hooves wrap around her. "Feathermane your back!" a loud voice shouted in her ear. She was picked back up of the ground and placed on her hooves.
"PetalDress?" Feathermane asked staring at the breezie in front of her. Her best friend was standing right in front of her. Her friend's eyes were watering and she looked shocked. 
"I missed you so much!" she yelled trying to grab her friend for another hug. Feathermane dodged her and instead grabbed her hoof. She pulled her friend behind her all the way to her home. Once they arrived Feathermane sat her friend on a chair before turning the kettle on. "Where were you!" PetalDress shouted more than asked. 
"I'm sorry for not telling you but I was afraid you'd tell me to stay. I was staying in Ponyville to learn more about the ponies. I was staying with the nice pony Fluttershy who help us after we crashed." This time it was Feathermane who pulled her friend into a hug. "I'm so sorry."
"You should have told me. I was looking everywhere for you! I panicked when I couldn't find you. It was horrible!" her friend took a long sip of tea.
Feathermane's face fell. "So you were the only one looking for me huh. I figured." Feathermane frowned and looked down at her hooves.
"Actually no." PetalDress said "There was somepony else!" She said in a sing song voice. Feathermane looked up with a concerned look on her face. When PetalDress got like this it was always bad. "Hehe, you know that one dude at the café who's always watching you when we go there?"
Feathermane's face flushed. She knew what her friend meant and she also knew that with what was about to be said would come horrible tauntings. "You don't mean?"
"Yup! He likes you!" PetalDress squealed in a kindergarten like voice. She started teasing her friend as soon as that weird face showed up.
"PetalDress," Feathermane said in a serious tone. "I hate you so much."
