//------------------------------// // A Spell for Two Lovers // Story: The Elements of Disharmony // by Paw_Claw_Print //------------------------------// Twilight yawned as she lifted her head from her pillow, not wanting to be awake at 3 in the morning. She had a horrible dream and was brought awake by it. The alicorn walked down the stairs to find Spike in the kitchen drinking some milk. Twilight yawned once more, "S-Spike... what are you doing up this late?" "I could ask you the same thing, Twi," Spike answered, drinking more milk. Twilight shook her head and headed for the fridge; she could really go for something to eat right now. Twilight returned with a daisy and daffodil sandwich, which she devoured within about 10 seconds. "Ya hungry?" Spike joked. The lavender bookworm rolled her eyes. She looked around to look at all the books she had in her library, and of course, she had read all of them. They were very good books, and if she wanted, would read again. An awkward silence fell between the alicorn and the dragon, each not wanting to talk. Spike had heard Twilight's story and believed it too. Twilight had also sobbed during the time she told him the story, for apparently, in the "other world", Spike had been killed. A small knock broke the silence. Twilight raised her eyebrow, "Now, who would be her at this time?" Twilight opened the door to see Scootaloo staring up at her, one of her wings bruised and black. She also had a black eye and a bleeding mark by her other eye. Twilight gasped at the sight. "Sweet Celestia! What happened, Scootaloo?" Twilight asked bringing the filly inside her dwelling. The little orange filly coughed, sitting down but quickly jumping back up. "OW! S-s-sorry, Twilight... I- uh... well, I was walking through Shadow Trees and I came across a snake. He looked really lonely, so I gave him a piece of an apple I had. After, he attacked me. Then, A dark green stallion beat my wing up. I tried to run, but the snake wrapped around my back hoof. The stallion cut my face and punched the other one," Scootaloo explained while Twilight rushed to go get her first aid kit. After she had found it, she dabbed Scootaloo's eye with a healing liquid Zecora had given her. Twilight cleaned the cut with water, "Oh, Scootaloo. Why were you in Shadow Trees? Nopony should ever be in there." "I know, but I got lost... I was crusading with Sweetie and Applebloom and on our way back I had to fix my scooter before I could go. I told them to go on home, so they did," Scootaloo coughed, wincing as Twilight cleaned her cut. After all the cleaning was done, Twilight carefully put a band-aid on on the no longer bleeding cut and put the first aid kit away. "Why do I need a band-aid if it's not bleeding? I don't like band-aids!" Scootaloo wined. Twilight shook her head, not wanting to explain. Scootaloo yawned, followed by Twilight and then Spike. "I think it's time we all go to bed. Scootaloo, you can stay over, but we are going to Rainbow Dash's in the morning, okay?" Twilight said, leading everyone up the stairs. Scootaloo nodded as she jumped on the bed with Twilight. Both mare and filly covered them selves with the sheets and fell into a deep sleep. The next morning, around 7 or 8, Twilight awoke to the sound of muttering; Scootaloo must be dreaming. The alicorn got out of bed carefully, not wanting to wake the sleeping filly. "Rainbow Dash... I don't think we should... if that's okay with you... uuugghhh..." Scootaloo moaned. Twilight's ears fell as her face grew warm; it was that kind of dream. Twilight walked down the stairs, some images running through her mind that she pushed away. After she finished the last step, she saw Spike making breakfast. The sound of little hooves filled Twilight's ears. "Good morning everypony," Scootaloo shouted from upstairs. The little filly slowly walked down the stairs, her face was as red as a cherry. Spike returned with a wave; he's been really quiet lately. Twilight returned with a friendly smile, but the smile turned into a smirk. "Was it a good dream?" Twilight said playfully. Scootaloo's face got even more red. "B-be q-quiet..." Scootaloo hissed, trying to hide her blushing face, but failed to do so. Twilight shook her head, "Sorry, no can do. How was your dream? Was it goooooooood?" "I said shut up," Scootalo growled, a bit of anger in her tone. Twilight pushed on. "All I wanna know is if your dream was a good or bad dream," Twilight giggled. The tip of Scootaloo's ears were turning red with embarrassment. "I don't wanna talk about it! Shut up already!" Scootaloo yelled. Twilight burst out laughing. Scootaloo stomped over to the dining table, where Spike had set up breakfast. Twilight, just finishing her laughing fit, sat across from the still blushing filly. "Scootaloo?" Twilight asked, eating the eggs Spike had made. "What? By the way, no more dream talk," Scootaloo answered. Twilight swallowed hard. She had been wanting to ask this question ever since Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo started hanging out, and now seemed like the best time, considering Spike had just left to do something and there was no one else in the house. Twilight breathed in air. "D-do you- uh, well... do y-you have a crush on Rainbow D-Dash?" Twilight asked, expecting some kind of yell or scream from Scootaloo. But, there wasn't any, just silence. Scootaloo stopped chewing her eggs, questions running through her mind. How does she answer? What kind of question is that? Why is she asking it? Does she like her? Twilight looked at Scootaloo with worried eyes. "You know what? Never mind, it's none of my bis-" Twilight started. "Yes..." Scootaloo cut her off. Twilight's ears took in the answer. Yes? "I-is it w-w-wrong? I-I mean, she's a mare a-and I'm a filly a-a-and-" Scootaloo started to cry. Twilight pulled Scootaloo in and hugged her, the filly bursting into tears. "No, not at all. There are many other ponies like you. Some mares like mares and some stallions like other stallions. It's a normal thing for somepony at your age to start realizing this too. If you promise not to tell anypony, I'll tell you a little secret," Twilight whispered. Scootaloo wiped her eyes and sniffed. "I promise," Scootaloo sniffed. Twilight smiled, "Pinkie promise?" Scootaloo giggled, "Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye." "Rainbow Dash likes mares," Twilight whispered into Scootaloo's ear. Scootaloo's wings flew up. Twilight giggled, "A little excited, are we?" The little filly jumped up and down, but quickly stopped. Tears ran down her face again, "But... she's to old for me. She will never love me the way I love her." "I think I can help you with that. If your okay with having an age spell done on you that is," Twilight smirked. Scootaloo looked up at Twilight. "But, Sweetie and Applebloom. What will they do? I can't grow up without them. They'll miss me and I can't bear to leave them," Scootaloo explained. Twilight thought for a couple of seconds then had an idea. "If it's okay with them, I could turn them into grown-ups too, or we could just go and talk to them about your problem. Maybe they'll understand," Twilight explained, heading for the door. "Yeah," Scootaloo nodded, "lets do that." "So, you're gonna change Scoots to a mare because she likes Rainbow Dash? I gotcha, but are ya sure you wanna go through with somethin' like this, Scoots?" Applebloom asked, eyeing Sweetie, who had already agreed with it and was happy for Scootaloo. "Yeah... I really do love Rainbow Dash, and I wanna live my life with her. I think becoming the same age as her will really help," Scootaloo answered, ready for the spell to be done on her. Applebloom and Sweetie hugged Scootaloo as Twilight got ready to preform her spell. Scootaloo breathed in air, signaling that she was ready for her transformation. Twilight's horn glowed with a magenta-colored aura. It glowed brighter and brighter as a ball of light flew towards Scootaloo. The ball took Scootaloo inside of it and burst into little sparkles, revealing an orange Pegasus. Her mane was longer and her wings were bigger, and her flank held a scooter wheel with wings and a lightning bolt. Her cutie mark. "D-did it work?" Scootaloo asked, her voice was a little deeper too. Twilight sighed and nodded at the new Scootaloo. Applebloom and Sweetie Belle's eyes darted over to her flank. "You have a cutie mark! What is it? What's your talent?" Sweetie Belle screamed happily. Scootaloo looked at her flank to see her new mark. "I do! Wow! Thanks, Twilight! Um... I guess my talent is scooter riding," Scootaloo said. Applebloom and Sweetie Belle stared in awe. "Well, we better get going. I'll see you around, girls," Twilight said, waving good-bye. The two happy fillies smiled and waved good-bye then ran off. Twilight looked at Scootaloo, who was flapping her wings. "You think you can fly?" Twilight asked with a worried tone. "I think so..." Scootaloo flapped her wings harder and lifted up into the air, as if flying was a piece of cake. The mare smiled with a laugh following. She dashed around and flipped. "I can fly! Oh, right. Rainbow Dash," Scootaloo said, flying to the Pegasus' house. Twilight giggled and followed her. When at her house, Scootaloo swallowed hard before knocking. She closed her eyes and slowly knocked on the door. Rainbow Dash answered it and stood in shock at what she saw. "S-S-Scoots? I-i-is that you?" Rainbow stammered. Scootaloo's eyes filled with happy tears. "Yes... I have something to tell you," Scootaloo said, her face growing more red. "Wh-" Rainbow Dash started but was cut off by Scootaloo's lips. Twilight smiled and turned around. Rainbow Dash stood in shock, but after a few seconds, returned her kiss. They stayed like that for what seems liked forever. Scootaloo broke away. "I-I've always loved you a-and I-" Scootaloo started but was cut off by Rainbow Dash's hoof. "I know... I've always loved you too," Rainbow Dash smiled. Scootaloo kissed her once more. After the happy scene, Scootaloo thanked Twilight and went inside with Rainbow Dash. Twilight's heart warmed with the thought of them together and happy. The alicorn flew down from the huge cloud and started to go home. "That was great..." Twilight thought to herself, "Seeing two ponies together makes my happy. Now, only if I could find the pony for me... wait a second. The spark! What? Wait, no! Twilight, that's wrong. Fluttershy is your friend." Just as Twilight was about to open her door to go inside, she heard a shriek, and a loud one too. Twilight's ears caught the voice of the scream. "Fluttershy..." Twilight gasped.
